The tweet is kind of histrionic. AFAIK, Amazon Prime TNF is free on Twitch TV. Plus, most have Prime anyway. You can also watch all games for a much lower price on NFL+, or just go to a sports bar.
NFL+ for around $99/year... BUT the games are only shown after completion of the 'live' game. i.e.-A Bills 1pm game will start airing on the NFL app around 4pm after the final gun. The caveat is if you want to enjoy it as a live game without knowing the outcome, you need to stay off the grid and turn your phone off, otherwise all the people in your social circle who know you're a Bills fan will start texting you with "great game", or "the Bills got robbed".
I've opted out of the NFL Sunday ticket this year. The price keeps going up but that's not the main reason. With the BIlls being shown nationally, probably at least 8-10 times, and the Bills playing the Falcons division (I'm in ATL), it's not a very good value to pay $479 for what may amount to 5 or 6 games. At that price point, I may as well go to a Bills Backers bar or watch a couple of games on NFL+ with the delay. I also have a friend (Bills fan)nearby who's getting the ticket this year, so I can watch a game or two with him.
Sadly, the days are long gone of calling Directv, threatening cancellation, getting the ticket for free, and then additional credits and free premium channels as an extra. Suckers.

Maybe, but when you are stuck in Massachusetts, hearing Bills and Sabres talk on WGR, is like oxygen.
I like when Marino, Greg Cosell, Dan Orlasky, are on. I like the player reports and interviews. I like Brown and Tasker. Yes they are Bills homers. So am I. I like Sal. I love the Hump day song 4:00 every Wednesday. I like Marty and Paul- I can’t wait until Sabres start crushing! Then those two will have something happy to talk about. I enjoy some of the calls.
but I get what your saying. Jeremy and Joe cried when Josh Allen was drafted instead of Josh Rosen. That tells you all about their football knowledge. Schoop and Bulldog wanted to trade two #1 picks and more, for Brandon Ayuk. And they were killing Bills offense before Amari. Their mantra was “Everyone Snacks”. So some more aggressive bad radio
Same. Former WNYer, longtime Bills fan. I have about a 25 minute commute each way during the week. There's nothing on local radio I want to listen to*, and I've had the same CDs in my car for 3 years**. So, I pull up Audacy and listen to 20 minutes of Bills talk on the way in and on the way home.
* broadcast radio is unbearable with at least 50% of any hour now filled with commercial advertising (the same ads over and over).
** Yes, I still have the same car with a 6-disc CD player that I bought new, 18 years ago. My wife's car we bought new 20 years ago. They both run great, so I'm having a hard time justifying getting another new car. 😄
But, I'm looking.

I agree that $2.2 billion should've gotten us a lot more, but disagree with the rest. Even though it's not what I wanted, it still looks really nice, will have great sight lines, be more comfortable, and just be a fun overall experience. The old stadium has nothing on this.
Agree. As stated previously, I believe it will be a great place to watch a game.
For me, and obviously just my opinion, the exterior design with the floppy canopy is not that pleasing, and I suspect it will appear very dated in a few years as more modern football stadiums are built for NFL teams.

None of the facade has been hung yet so I’m not sure how we can critique it or are you just going by previously released artist renderings?
Regardless of what goes around the outside, it still looks like a big toilet bowl. They should build a new fieldhouse next to it that's shaped like a toilet paper dispenser.

I get it, we all want a SB title. I even mentioned that I hope this success leads to at least one title.
But, why does every good thing they do get negated with “doesn’t mean much, no title”.
With the examples I’m about to list, please know I’m not saying you’ve said all of these, I’m just giving examples:
-Five straight AFCE titles - “Yeah, but, no titles”
-McD best winning percentage coach in Bills history - “Doesn’t mean much”
-JA NFL MVP - “Yeah, but no ring”
-Highest scoring offense and fewest points allowed defense over five years - “Doesn’t mean anything”
I want a title just as much as the next Bills fan, but it doesn’t mean there’s been no good things that have happened and that this team hasn’t had a great run. There’s still things to celebrate.
If everything is based on a title no sports franchise is successful because everyone has way more years without titles than they do with titles. We all want a title, but it’s still been a great five years for the Bills and our fan base.
Go Bills!
Good one, Doc. Thanks for laying down the ground rules! 😃🤣
I'm repeating something I wrote recently on another fan site with the usual cries of 'fire/replace McDermott". Of course, when asked how they'd remedy the
head coaching status, without a cogent argument they inevitably say "Bill Belichick". Duh.
Great idea. Alienate the roster and the GM who love McDermott and start over with a 73 year old coach. Belichick has six rings as head coach out of 29 seasons as head guy, so to think it's automatic is ridiculous. He never won a Super Bowl without Brady, yet Brady has won one without Belichick. Do the math.
He might be a good coach, but that ship has sailed. Has any other Super Bowl winning coach gone on to win one with another team? Jimmy Johnson? Parcells?
Something to ponder - Tomlin, Harbaugh, McVay, Payton, and Carroll - all have success as the head man and have won a Super Bowl. They have nearly 80 combined seasons as an NFL head coach between them, and a grand total of 5 Super Bowl wins, 1 each.
Andy Reid was a head coach for 19 years before winning a Super Bowl!
When 'fans' cry "fire McDermott", they clearly have no conception of how difficult it is to make it to a Super Bowl and win one. So much of it is just the right combination of keeping key players, developing new players, a good personnel dept, team chemistry, maintaining health, and sometimes one or two calls by the zebras can be the difference.
There's a fine line.
Personally, I hope McDermott remains in Buffalo for many years to come.

Completed canopy 360 view
I believe it’s going to be a nice venue with updated amenities and great site lines, but aesthetically, it’s just ugly.
The dipsy-doodle canopy looks like a deflated bicycle tire. I do wonder if the shadows will play tricks with TV cameras.
For me, the current stadium is more majestic, and just prettier- having a bit of the look of a traditional college football stadium.
For $2.2B they could have built something with a bit more style on the facade.-

Whoever can afford the best wedding gifts…
Pegulas, Tom Brady, Mickelson, Mahomes, and a few Hollywood muckety-mucks. Maybe Trubisky can be there as ring-bearer, but he’s got to leave after the wedding and can’t stay for the reception.

Who can forget the day it was Tuel Time in Buffalo! Undrafted in 2013, Jeff was quickly signed by the Bills, predominantly on the recommendation of Chris Brown who was intrigued by the large number of possible Tuel-related puns he would be able to use during his Bills reports.
Clever observation.
Even though it's unlikely Brown had a hand in the signing, I don't doubt he was giddy over it and spent a few late nights in his office crafting witty puns. 🙃

I figured the board would take this news well and have a nice, rational, adult discussion about it.
Looking forward to all 22 pages of this thread.I think the real story is that the injury happened in non-contact activity in which you might expect the immediate prognosis to be "inactive for a couple of days". But, when they ominously state "out for the foreseeable springtime...", you have to believe bringing him to Buffalo was overly optimistic. Doesn't seem he'll be someone the Bills can count on this season. What's the over-under on games played?

Maybe it's because I work with lots of young guys in construction but this is a real likable group.
Of course you don't really know the true nature of an individual but I get a great vibe from watching these guys and you can see the kind of individuals that McBeane are looking for.
Without getting into the back story, I see Max Hairston and I believe he's a good person.
JMO.
Agree. Beane and the personnel staff appear to place a premium on high-character individuals who have a superior work ethic. I believe that's how they can make the most out of mid to low round draft choices (which translates into good value, bang for the buck).
The Bills have done a phenomenal job of assessing raw players with untapped potential that the coaching staff is able develop into contributing members of the team.
I'm really high on this rookie class, and won't be surprised if we see 7 or 8 make the final 53.

A player should not receive assistance (pulling or pushing) from a teammate to gain yardage -- PERIOD. It's a stupid play and should have never been allowed.
As a purist and traditionalist, I agree.
But, it is what it is, and when it comes right down to it, it's ours against theirs, as it is with every sub-unit on each side of the ball.
If a team wants to use a pile of humanity advancing the ball forward, the other side will just have to have a bigger and stronger pile of humanity in order to defend it.
When the day comes that high profile QB gets seriously injured (costing the NFL ratings and $$), that will be the time the league will consider banning it. Money is the thrust behind most league decisions.
Before the tush push, Tom Brady's scrawny little arse used to just get low and under the center when he needed less than a foot. He must've had the timing down perfectly because his win percentage was incredible with that move.
-
In business, the objective is to maximize profit. Ooo....that evil capitalism.🙄
If there wasn't a market at those prices, the cost would be less. It's very simple. Clearly, there are those willing to pay those prices.
The flip side to these prices is that today's technology gives an opportunity for every fan to view games in lifelike, high definition color on their (relatively) low cost 70" flat screen TVs, right from the comfort of their favorite chair.
Sure, it's not exactly the same as being there, but it's not like fans are forced to have their ears pressed up against the big wooden Philco radio set to keep up with a game.
The reality is that there are twice as many people now as there were 50 years ago, the NFL has become enormously popular, and many boomers (as well as younger earners) have ample funds to support these luxuries. This is an age when there are plenty of buyers for $80,000 trucks.
If I upgrade my existing tickets for the Bills-Falcons game, I expect it will be well over $1000 for a couple of tickets. That's just the price you pay if you want the full 3D high def sight and sound live stadium experience. Otherwise, it's cheer and swear from the comfort of your easy chair.

This will be my last year as a season ticket holder and I've just got to get used to the lack of sleep after all the night games. Considering it takes 3 hrs to get back home after the game, it's getting tough on this 70 year old body. At least we have a few 1 o'clock games. The price of being good.
Go Bills!
Maybe time to change the handle to 'slowingdowneddie'.

"I don't know why but I think this is the year, weird strong feeling going on".....says every die-hard Bills' fan every Spring since the 60's. 🙂
side note, re: your handle
My friend, ex-Buffalo guy, now in Texas, is craving a signature Buffalo -style Royalé sub.
I'll see him in the 716 in a couple of months and there's a good possibility we'll be getting sick on all our favorite Buffalo treats, include the Royalé, made with Costanza sub rolls, Italian sausage, and Gabagool.

I wished you could have experienced a game in the old rock pile on Best Street.
Now that was a dump in the truest since of the word.
Maybe, especially for players who were forced to take cold showers in their rustic locker rooms and changing area. But for fans, and especially a young ones in the embryonic stages of fandom, the place was magical. We were 4 rows from the field. You could smell the grass, cigars, hot dogs, popcorn. There was a jazz ensemble with horns rocking, set up at one end zone section. There was a great intimacy about it. It was like being transported to another era. It's no wonder 'The Natural' found the rockpile as a worthy shooting location. Saw many games there. When (I hope) I attend a game in the new stadium, I will have a generational bridge that is partially defined by 3 different Bills home stadiums.

My most vivid (and fondest) memories:
First Monday Night game, 1973, KC, game 7 O.J. goes over 1,000 for the season on the way the first 2,000 rusher. Record carries in that game I believe.
1974, season opener against Raiders. Monday night under the lights. Back and forth trading leads in final minutes (similar to 13-second game), OJ out injured, Bills win.
1980, season opener, Bills defeat Dolphins after winless 70's decade. Chuck Knox era with much promise.
1980, Dec 7, Bills defeat Rams, fans won't leave and demand an encore. Bills players Smerlas, Haslett, Ritcher, et al appease the fans and come back out of locker room, minus jerseys and pads (under shirts), lock arms and perform a chorus line kick dance to the sounds of 'Talking Proud'. Crazy.
1986, Jim Kelly's first regular season game in a Bills' uniform. Unfortunately, loss to Jets. Still, the beginning of the JK era.
1987, season opener, first time sharing the Bills with my Miami-raised girlfriend - now my wife. Jets, loss of course.
edit: she's a die-hard Bills fan now. Another successful conversion!
1995, Bills defeat Dolphins in close late December game, snow coming down in 4th quarter to finish it off, and as the players make their way to the tunnel after the final gun, the Hootie & Blowfish song is playing with the phrase "the dolphins make me cry" from 'Only Wanna Be With You'. Perfect.
1997, Season opener in late August (weird), day after Diana killed in wreck, Vikings. Loss. First tailgate meet-up with message board crew coming from Ohio, NYS, Virginia, Georgia, etc. Only about 7 of us. Internet it it's infancy.
2005, Texans, season opener, introducing nephews, next generation to the Bills experience. Sadly, the 10-year-old wasn't around for the 2006 opener.
2008, Seahawks, season opener, last time with one of my long-time closest friends with whom I attended many games, including the 1980 opener. It was supposed to be sunny, but it rained, we got soaked, he got pneumonia. Gone by November.
After being there for at least one game every year, the 2008 game is the last one for me in that stadium. I don't know if I'll get there in 2025. Hope so.
Apart from the Bills games, many 'Superfest' concerts in the 70's with some of the biggest names in rock. These were the days when you buy tickets for concerts and Bills games for under $10. For you Gen Z'er thinking "no way". Way.
Being at the first Monday Night game for the Bills and the new stadium in 1973, I'd really like to be at the first one in the new stadium. Time will tell.

Just got word that the Falcons are playing the Colts in Berlin, Nov 9.
Yayyy!
I'm working with a guy about getting primo tickets for the Bills-Falcons game here in Mercedes Benz stadium, and my only concern was if the NFL were to scheduled that matchup as an international game. I missed the 2018 game here, so hopefully this will be my chance to enjoy them close to home.
Unless the Falcons do one of those consecutive week overseas trips, it's pretty much a sure thing the Bills will be here in Atlanta.
Now, need to look into tickets in Charlotte.

Part of the video you can see through the PPE he's wearing that it says "Young" on the back, his name.
So what? Did they discontinue making the 'Young' team jersey nameplates?
My point was he presumably has enough funds to purchase 6 PSLs and all that goes with it (tickets, parking, merch, concessions, etc.), but wears a dated, thread-worn team jersey. Geez, put out the extra C-note and don some decent attire for the publicity event.
Or.. just duck into the Bills locker room and 'borrow' a jersey,

Just curious, when was the last time a can't-miss QB in the draft panned out as expected? Seems to me it's the guys with questions that turn out better.
There’re been a lot of blue chip QB misses, just ask the Browns and the Jets. Those two franchises have spent numerous first round picks over the past 25 years or so on QBs they thought would be their ‘franchise QB’ to come up empty at each attempt.
It took the Bills over 20 years after Jim Kelly’s retirement to find an elite signal caller. Finding ‘that guy’ is a GMs biggest challenge.
If Beane never made another good decision, getting Josh I was enough to secure his legacy in Buffalo.-

Network pricing to watch all NFL games in 2025
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
The 'evil rich' and 'capitalism bad" mentality is a viewpoint I don't understand, particularly from people who've enjoyed the American way of life.
Is it envy? The way a homely high school chick hates the head cheerleader because she's not as popular?
You're a working stiff, so you hate those living the high life?
Most billionaires in this country didn't inherit the wealth. Most are like Terry Pegula, who had a skill/education in a particular field, had business savvy, recognized a market need, exploited it, and got rich.
Youtube and the NFL charge insane amounts of money for service, merch, and tickets, unthinkable 20 years ago.
But it's only because there's a market for it. Participation is 100% voluntary.
If you don't want to pay to see your team, you still have the option to watch at least 5 games each week that are broadcast for free.
Using pirate streaming is stealing whether or not it agrees with your level or morality,
Yes, the NFL is greedy. But, it's because they can be. It's the American way!
But I guess, so is trying to get over on the man!😊
