  1. better yet. don't tune into the station.

Too funny when the solution is to tell advertisers to stop advertising. The fact is if people are tuning in advertisers are gonna advertise

Logic sometimes doesn't work here. I'm sorry but every week there seems to be a new WGR complaint thread here. Maybe those should be moved to another area because we all know they will not stop; listening to that station. It's like they can't help themselves.

I think I see Scott standing over there saying thanks. Thanks a lot.

Choosing not to view ads is another form of free speech! Please don't tell me you enjoy receiving junk mail through the US Mail.

  2. Under: Robert Woods/Chris Hogan well underrated with regards to the lack of media attention. This could be attributed to the attention given to Watkins however. I just thought they would be getting a lot more catches this year.

Over: Bryce Brown it's laughable positively laughable that he'll make the team over Anthony Dixon!! There are several Bill's beat reporters who actually believe this and thus so does the rest of the national media who only parrot the news without bothering to visit TC or actually watch game tape. BB has done nothing to prove he belongs on this team. Dixon on the other hand has done what is asked of him without making many mistakes, plus he's a beast on special teams. And what I've heard and read a fan favorite.

Jerry Hughes is still criminally underrated among Bills fans. Last years numbers were not a fluke, and for those watching, Hughes played excellent against the run, as well. So glad we got him locked up. I think we are going to continue to see huge numbers and impact plays from 55 for years to come. It's hard with the big names on that D-line to stand out, but he beats his blocks as good or better than anyone we have. He's one of the few Bills players I can remember that fans of other teams commend more than our own fans do. I think we just have an embarrassment of riches on the D-line, so it can be easy to forget... but I think he's about to emerge as one of consistent best pass rushers in the league.

Not to me! I've seen what he's done when he's 1 on 1 against LT's and TE's in rushing situations. He's a lot stronger than he looks. He makes some of them look foolish. I watch and think this shouldn't be possible, moving a LT around like that. For doubters go watch that Lions game again. JH; should've made it to the PB, not Kyle Williams as hereterical as that sounds.

  3. Thanks for laughing. Truth be known, the first thing I did when i got a Playstation was get Madden.

    Couldn't wait.

Then I played it, realized I didn't know jackschitt about how to play football, and went back to what I was always good at: Pong.

Did you play online vs. real opponents? That was your mistake! Thre are people who make a living playing Madden and have done so for decades. I just play or used to play the regular season against the CPU unitl they royally screwed this up. And I didn't use settings that would give me an advantage like rookie status for the CPU settings. If you didn't take advantage of training camp, then you would find it diffucult indeed.

  4. I took him last year and he did fine. The Bills are something that we bond over. His room is decorated in Bills paraphernalia and he watches the games with me. One of the few phrases that he says with clarity is, "Go Bills!"

For those of us, who would like to pray for him, could you provide just his first name? Even if you are not a believer, there is power in prayer.

  5.

I think the local media is just plain stupid when it comes to EJ Manuel.

As for Rex, I think he is using Manuel's good performances as a smokescreen for the Colts game. I'm sure that Rex and Roman very much like what EJ's doing but I get the feeling they want to sit him longer because they are worried he's not quite ready yet. They don't want to rush him into action when they don't have to. That's the sense I'm getting.

So agree with you. I just had this feeling once TC started that Ryan wants Taylor to succeed and take the job by wowing the fans. He wants Cassell not to fail so that he becomes the defacto backup and EJ perhaps the long term answer. Who knows until the season starts tho.

  6.

I saw it on TV. The second time I watched it. It would have been very obvious from the stands so that is definitely one of those things you miss. Apologies again to Clippers of NFL.

Can't remember if he ran out of bounds or threw the ball away but he scrambled right and Clay was totally abandoned and yet the closest receiver to him.

In the third drive in the Friday night game the drive died on a slightly similar play......he scrambled left and pulled the ball down and missed a chance at a wide open Hogan right in front of him.

He ran and danced out of bounds about 3 yards short. It's hard to say that he learns how to maximize his scrambling game but I think he will learn that teams are so afraid of his open field skills that they will blow coverages if he is patient. That and there are times when it's not worth taking a hit and that was one of them.

Ok now that this has been brought up, I'm going to mention that sack Taylor took in the 1st quarter when he didn't have to. IIRC, and I did TiVo the game, on this other play, he didn't notice the receiver crossing from the left hash who had a step or two on the DB. I think it was Hogan on a crossing or corner route. If TT had stepped up he would've seen him for the touch..

  7. Good to hear Hogan's injury isn't serious. He's a keeper. I say we trade Marquis, get some value and keep Deonte. The kid's a player.

I don't trust his hands and he doesn't use his body enough to shield himself from defenders. He has potential though, I'll give you that.

  8.

Yes, true, all on the line, and Manuel came through.

No longer is he in the 'vicinity' with his throws, no longer do players have to stop and come back to get the ball, but he hit his receivers in stride, with the ball almost always in excellent position. What can he do with the starters in there? (The Bills starters and the others team's as well. ) We need to see.

Start him next week, let him have a half and see how he does. He has outplayed Taylor and Cassel in 'actual' games, so give him a shot.

He is a very different quarterback now, yes still developing, but he looks like he is ready to take the next step and become a solid NFL starter.

He looked good consistently tonight, doing things he only did well sporadically in the past.

I don't know why Bills Nation thouht EJ woud make the Pro Bowl as a rookie. QB's and WR's take time to adjust to the pro game. I agree with the GM tho. year 3 is when you should be showing marked improvment in your performance. It's funny if people think EJ is so bad, then why isn't Simms getting any reps in these preseason games?

  9. Fair enough. But let me ask you this. If the Bills played EJ all day and Cleveland played Manziel all day, which team would have ended up with the most points at the end of the game?

If you honestly think the Bills would have won then I get your point. I don't see how anyone could think that. I am confident that the Bills would have lost that game by more than 7.

LMAO! Lose even if we had our starting D the WHOLE game?! Not likely. That Browns O is positively horrid. They couldn't score more than 7 points with Johnny Football in the second half against scrubs.

The EJ haters really baffle me. I haven't seen any practice video but if you break down all 22 of his preseason throws, there are maybe only 2-3 bad passes. He repeatedly hits his spot and the ball comes out with zip on a line. He has a big league arm and he's making the big league throws. He's making Thompson and Gragg look like stars. All behind a joke of an O line.

This isn't the same EJ we saw last year. EJ haters must not believe preseason games are as important as footage from one year old games. I just don't get you guys.

I'm not saying he should be anointed the starter but I am saying he needs reps with the 1s and if he does well it needs to be a hard decision on who starts.

Where are the floaters and absolute duds he's been throwing supposedly in TC? This is what the media has been writing all summer long. Manuel hasn't done this in either game he's played in so far. I don't understand. Having said that, Taylor brings a dynamic you can't coach or teach. May the best man win and may he lead us deep into the playoffs!

  10. I'd like to know when the constant Pats** apologists are going to finally wake up and see this POS organization for what it is rather than defending the "genius" of Belichick. They're a lying, cheating, win-at-all-costs trash heap. Steal opponents' signals. Tape their practices. Bug their locker room. Deflate the footballs so your team doesn't fumble as much.

At some point it ceases to be "sour grapes" from opposing fans...

I don't pay attention to this cr@p anymore. I've already asterisked everything they've done since Billicheat took over. NONE of their wins are legit in my eyes. It infuriates me all the more when Seattle choked last year. They had the win in the bag.

  11. Do you know if it's including live games? I've gotten Rewind the last two years, but not being able to watch live is aggravating. I believe it's live in other countries but I don't know if the Yahoo thing has opened the door or not.

No, none of the regular season games are live. I don't think they ever will be until the NFL dissolves it's monopolistic relationship with DirecTv.

Two years ago when Madden 25 came out, if you bought a certain select edition of the game from Amazon for $99, you were given a code to watch any game live. Wow, that was so worth it and hoped that they would continue that the following year but it was not to be. I was going to buy the game anyway.

  12. I wouldn't call Eli Manning a better player than the other two yet why is Eli considered a better?Simple put because of his Super Bowls. Why'd Eli win two Super Bowls? I think because the recently run Giants are a better run "franchise" than the Bengals and/or 49ers.

He's not as bad as you think he is. Would love to have him on the Bills.

I wonder why he doesn't seem to be comfortable just saying f it and let er go. He has a strong arm. He should be bruising hands by now. Make the WRs earn the catch. but throw some damned hardballs in these intermediate routes. screw leading them and touch passes.

get those balls inflated Ernest J Manuel!

Last year he showed some flashes. In a couple of games he had a 70% completion or better. However, there are games where he seems lost and indecisive. One can only hope that he has grasped the pro game in his third year but we shall see.

  13. I was a BIG Sam Gash fan......

But Sam was never a threat to carry or catch the ball

I would give Gash the edge on blocking and toughness.....just cuz it was sam Gash

    But for versitility? Felton

No, he was a fullback known for catching the ball out of the backfield before he came to Buffalo. Gash admited that he never liked to carry the ball.

  14. 15 years of no playoffs for the bills......at this moment in time I would live with a wildcard loss

*1 if it were last season. Heck, I would've considered a 10-6 season w/no playoff berth a huge success! This year, we can't be complacent and hope for postseason we need to make it deep in the tournament. The window is closing people!!! Let us not forget the 1999 Bills who had the best defense overall and it was just wasted. We could've won the Super Bowl IMHO had we made it against the Rams or whoever.

  15. With all the attention that was supposedly going to be paid to Watkins last year, I really thought Woods would've been targeted a lot more than he was. This guy is beast, he just hasn't been showcased yet but when he was, oh boy. Hogan was another guy I thought would've up put up better numbers too. You can't blame Orton though, he was thrown in the fire, without benefit of a preseason.

  16. Kiko won that game for us.

And yes, Dolphins, while a much improved team, still have another year to go.

I disagree. The defense caused Flacco to throw like 5 INT's altogether--something that he had never done before. Kiko only had two of them. I'm not saying he wasn't clutch...

They do? What's so special about Tannehill other than where he was drafted?

I don't like the Doll Fans but i know that this QB is legit and he'll be a beast very shortly.
