what channell is that on the Tempe area cable network? Kickoff is at 1pm est so that means I can watch pregame at 9am here. We'll be hiking at 6:30-7am. Our tv doesn't go up to 100 here but I drove over to the Walmart and bought a converter box so I think I can get all the higher channells now. Is the yahoo channell In the area of Natural Geographic and Weather Channell? I found one called YES so maybe that's it. Shirl is making breakfast for me now so we plan to go hiking after I get this tv thing settled. Howard

Hi guys. Shirl and I finally arrived at Bonita Vista <enter homepage here http://bonitavistaresort.com/photos/photos.html>and the weather is great. Roger is watching our house over the winter. he bought us a lap top so we can stay in touch with him and the other kids. We have been watching the bills games on the way down over the past few weeks. These guys need to rest a little, huh. The local satellite station only shows the Cardinalsor the cowboys games. I may go over to the clubhouse and see if they have the whole NFL package to watch the Bills this Sunday. For the prices were paying down here, they better have all the games on. My plan is to get to the clubhouse early at like 3pm which is 12pm for you guys in the east, get the remote and hide it when I find the Bills game. None of these guys really care about football anyway so I should be all set. Has anything chnaged there? Is everyone healthy? Packing up and traveling took a while so it's nice to be back in touch with you all. Keep in touch with us. Howard

I really don't do this much but I need to apologize to certain members of the board. Even though I delivered mail as a career, it doesn't rise to the level of actual military service. I am sorry if I offended any of you who served in the military. I never fought for our country nor did I put myself in the line of fire (domestic or abroad). My 80+ year old body is worn out, but has never endured the danger and loss that the men and women of the military suffered during their service. With that said, I'm going to start traveling and visit landmarks around this great country. I hope you all have a great football season and I will just read your writings from now on. All the best. I am a quick thinker so when I heard this might happen I wanted to act on it. Any of you guys think it cant happen are dreaming. Like TRBJ - why would you be ok with this? The sabres should stay blue and gold like they always have been and the Bills should stay red, white and blue. When I heard this earlier today I almost punched the guy.

Dear Mr Pegulo I heard that you and the team were thinking of changing the colors of the uniform. My friend who I walk with at the mall said that this OneBuffalo theme means you are trying to make the teams connect more and part of that work is to change the Bills colors to blue/white and gold. Why don't you change the sabres colors to red,white and blue then? Why the Bills? It would be a very big mistake to change the Bills colors. They have been red white and blue ever since I went to the rockpile with my wife and friends. I've been a fan of our team for well over 50 years of my 80+ years. Everyone knows its the Bills because of the look of the uniform. Change is a good thing now and then but changing the uniform should not be an option. If you change the uniform color I'll probably not watch the team anymore on our tv set. You didn't grow up in Buffalo so you probably don't really care about the colors. But we do. Keep it the way it is and we can win this thing. Same with the Sabres. Don't make them red, white and blue. I understand One Buffalo is a good marketing thing but that doesn't mean hockey and football should have OneUniform. Thank you Howard in South Buffalo

Somebody changed my writing above. It is supposed to say that Shirl and I will meet you guys for dinner at 3:30 and we can all split the bill even steven. I also made a few things to pass out to each of you in my shop. They are really neat and you guys will love them. I collect the broken maple branches from our backyard and take the bark off, then sand them down and varnish them. I keep the small twigs on the end and when they are all dry they are a great back scratcher. So I'm bringing 9 of them with me to pass out. I sometimes sell them at the flea markets and people look at me funny because it is such a great idea. So far it is me, Shirl, mr beerball, fergy and TRBJ. Cleats must be scared or something but I never mean to offend him but he is always so defensive about my past record of service. I would even treat Cleats because that's what patriotic men like me do. I miss the days when I wore the flag on my uniform. If we dont see the rest of you have a great labor day weekend (remember to be thankful for those who have labored to guarantee your freedoms when our nation was born). H

finally got the computer back from my wife. I took a long walk after we had our breakfast this morning. I calmed down quite a lot. That cook at Dennys gave me my oatmeal and one scrambled egg but forgot that I was supposed to get four sausages. A side order of sausage is four links not too links. So I asked Cindy the waitress to get my other too links and she came back and said the cook only gives too links for a side order. I asked her when that changed and reminded her I have been a customer for many years here. She was nice but started to get a little pushy so I pushed back and said I wanted to talk to the manger. This big guy comes over named Ted and I said Teddy I want my other sausage links. He said the store only gives too links as a side order. I told him this was the last meal I would eat at this or any other Dennys and we walked out. The bill was $18.65 so I gave the waitress $2 and told her she would miss out on our tips for the rest of the year. You can pull the wool over the eyes of some people but I was trained and served for many, many years to make sure the customer is always right. They owed me too sausages and I won't go back to that place even though Shirl likes the fruit plate. Hope to see you guys this friday. Make sure to rsvp here if you are going to make it. H

Update shirl has been pretty tired today. It might be one of a three different things. 1. She had a bad fish fry yesterday. 2. She got a bad hair do on thursday and feels embarassed to go out. I'll keep you guys posted if she is ok going to dinner this friday. H

In my 80 plus years I have never seen or herd such disrespect from a young person as Cleats. This type of behavior is taught or possibly something he learned while working as a greasemonkey at The Walmart tire center. I wont get my oil changed there anymore.

<ignore> have you ever tried the seafood platter. Have to get there early before guys like cleats order their fried mozzarella sticks and screw up the oil. Plus if you sit before 4pm you can get a corner booth which lets you watch the traffic. Shirl and I usually split a seafood platter and then get a piece of coconut cream pie for desert. Would love to have you Dean. Leave Cleats at home . He causes my blood pressure to rise.
