  1. Anyone think that Rex is setting up Belicheck for the 2nd meeting/playoffs?

Seriously, I understand how whacky this sounds, so no need to say it, and I'm not necessarily saying I'm considering this as a possibility. But did this thought cross anyone else's mind?

A week 2 win against Bill and Co. while showing your hand and throwing the kitchen sink in an all out effort to win isn't so great if you lose the 2nd meeting and/or playoffs.

Could Rex be going with the long con?

The only reason this thought even entered my head was because playing the DB's off the WR's all game when NE was throwing 95% short passes legitimately makes zero sense, even to people like us.

And I'm not suggesting Rex intentionally threw the game, just that he tried something different/played vanilla/tried to lull Belicheck into a false sense of having the upper hand going forward. We still almost came back and won.

I seriously has the gut feeling as well, that Rex was saving his best for Sunday night/playoffs. Why didn't he send the house more often and why didn't he double cover gronk? Then...... I felt like Mel Gibson from the movie "Conspiracy Theory" so I just accepted the loss. Our long-con theory could still have some clout though, we'll see....
  2. I 100% agree my man. I used to think sitting at the 50 yard line at around row 12-14 would be the best viewing of the game at the Ralph until I actually sat there 3 years ago. I almost got into a fight (with a Bills fan) who told me to sit down while our team was playing defense. It was 1st and 10 (not 3rd down defense) but I don't care. To me every down on defense is just as intense as 3rd down defense. So the guy behind me told me to sit down and I yelled at him and told him to stand up and I was 2 more words out of his mouth away from officially sitting him down until I came to my senses and unfortunately sat my ass down (kind of, I just kind of sat on top of my seat that was lifted up) and continued watching the game.

Last week against the Colts I sat at section 137 and man we were HYPE! But not only us though... The whole stadium stood up the entire game. I loved it man. But yeah I will never sit by the 50 ever again. 20 yard line or lower best suits my character and the way I wanna cheer more. It shouldn't be that way imo because this is football and not baseball. If you like to sit and watch games, go to a baseball game or just stay at home. If you're elderly or have a handicap then I completely understand why you can't stand. But if you're capable to stand and just don't because you like the comfort of sitting down, then I think a football game is the wrong venue for that. Clearly just my opinion so don't take any offense (to those who like to sit).

Section 137 is my section, I love it there. The view is way better than I imagined and the people usually are just rowdy enough, but not over the top. I couldn't make it last week but will definitely be there this week.
  3.

Come on, calling BS on posts like this with zero to back up ridiculous statements.

Yes, this may be the case if McCoy, Brown, Karlos Williams all go on IR, as they are all much better running backs at this stage.

He has been a very good Bill, but almost zero chance that he is the most effective running back on this team. If one of those actual top three backs on this team is cut for the sake of Jackson's honorary position that would be a very bad sign. In run after run this summer all three have run like Jackson has not for several years.

Thinking Brown is a better football player then Freddy gives your statement zero credibility. Freddy is still by far the better football player. People act like we are playing teams every week to get the best combine numbers.
  4. He won't even make the final roster.

Yeah, 66 receptions last year, 3.5 yds per carry, and clutch in tough situations. That plus people under rate leadership. If you ever played anything higher than 9th grade football you would understand. I would take fred over Bryce Brown anyday.
  5. I'm sorry bro but you sound lost & confused, as if negotiating is a foreign concept. So are you content with paying full MSRP for everything b/c you think that keeps the price down for everyone? Have you ever heard of simple microeconomic terms like profit margin & price elasticity/inelasticity?

As per the bolded, don't think for a second the "paying customers" pay more b/c of those of us who negotiate better pricing for ourselves. DTV and the NFL have a tidy/massively profitable little venture going. Don't be fooled and come off like a Pollyanna.

These are the type of people we should thank. They, for whatever reason, think that authority is always correct and we should never question it. It makes it easier for the rest of us to save money. There is no point in telling them that a large corporation will take advantage of them whenever they get a chance, because they are to stubborn.

Yeah, let's see, direct tv has a grip on the rights to "out of market games". Which are played locally on free broadcasting networks CBS or FOX. So the only cost should be the cost of streaming it online which advertising would easily pay for and more. And we are taking advantage of them?

  6. Search Google for slickdeals.net direct tv current customers. They explain everything. Basically call in get to customer retention set up a cancelation date for a couple weeks out and wait for the email or call. They will throw the book at you, just hold out on the phone call and they will give you Sunday max, all the movie chanels for 3 months, and a 30-40 dollar bill credit for 12 months.
