Lived there most recently 1986-2003.  Over time, the weather has a way of getting to you.  August & September are beautiful.  the other 10 months are drizzle & fog, followed by fog & drizzle.  You don't often see the sky because of the overcast.  When they get any snow, it's out of control, because of all the elevation changes.  Can't tell you how many times some fool would all but stop before going up a hill.   Don't understand forward momentum!  They get a lot of temperature inversions which seal the smog in between the Olympics and the Cascades.  They even have "burn bans" in winter.  If they see you using your fireplace, you can be fined, unless it's your only source of heat.

There are a lot of suicides and alcoholics there, attributed to the weather.  Don't know if Jeremy lives there year round?

Hey its more like 3 months of beautiful weather July kicks it off.

  2. This feels like another way to stick it to the Browns and their fan base. Man Bellicheat can hold a grudge. I swear I can't be the only one thinking this.

Drugs, alcoholic and beat up his girlfriend and may get signed....another QB kneels and won't get signed

Didn't just kneel, wore pig cop socks, supported a genocidal leader, and his girlfriend tweeted a picture of an owner and a team icon as a plantation slave owner and an uncle tom. Burned a couple bridges there buddy.

I appreciate your honesty. I was lucky enough to talk to Dion about it during the draft process. I was satisfied with the answer he gave me and it seems as though the team was okay with it as well.

Back on the topic of Josh Rosen,  I don't think he's the personality type that the Bills will want. I don't particularly agree with it myself but I can see the logic in it from McDermott's side of affairs. When you're trying to establish a culture, you might not appreciate a guy questioning your methods while you're trying to establish them.

I do wonder if some of this stuff does come from scouts resenting Rosen for his background, considering they do long hours for a fairly measly salary (at least most of the entry-level area scouts). You certainly see it among wider society.

I agree on Rosen and culture, and that plus concussions equals not worth it for me. The scouts might do that but it's far more likely he gave them a reason to think he is an arrogant rich kid. I tend to believe where there is smoke there is a fire. It's up to Beane and mcd to understand if it's the Ryan leaf type of arrogance or the Tom Brady type.

I didn't mean the Martin stuff. There was more vicious racist abuse of an Asian member of staff while he was with the Fins.

When people start talking about character and whatnot, I like to find out where lines get drawn. I'm still trying to work out the line that the staff has. I think Richie is a fair extreme to bring up, simply because he's the worst example on the team and the team seem to be okay with who he is (along with Dion's assault charge at Temple).

Still doesn't make him racist, but I sure don't want him on the team, the stuff he said goes way beyond what's okay to say even as jokes. He seems to be our only good o linemen now though which sucks. And Dion Dawkins got into a fight at a club when he was a college kid, not a deal breaker for me.

Oh, I was going off the "easy to root for" angle. I'm just curious, that's all.

You know, considering that Richie is a racist that's had to pay off a woman to drop sexual assault charges.

Just using racial slurs as a joke or a hazing tactic does not make you a racist.  (Sorry if that hurts someones feelings.)It does however make you an a-hole, bully, piece trash human. I don't think that this management would have picked him up a couple years ago.

He did, just apparently couldn't coach or hire the right coaches.

Not many of us, which is why it's prudent and logical to refrain from jumping to any major conclusions about their personalities. You dont know him, all we can fairly judge him on is his play on the field. Anything else is pretty middle-school.

I'm not saying he isnt an arrogant prick, I'm saying we don't know. But I'm here for football, not E! Entertainment Television, so I'm not going to get lured into that discussion. The good news is, the GMs get to meet these guys and WILL have a good idea of their personality.

Leadership is a quality that someone can judge and I am using the information I have to judge that quality, and I don't like what I see. That doesn't mean I am right but, it's just how I perceive it right now.

Richie has missed almost 20 games in his career from injuries.

He hasn't missed more than a couple in the past 10 years, and has not missed any with us.

Ever since we realized that none of us have ever met him, the only thing that narrative is going on are anonymous reports from years ago, and most of the people around him seem to actually like him.

When did people start bashing kids just because their parents are rich and theyre jealous?

How many of us do you think get to meet nfl players? We don't so our judgement comes from his actions and what other people say. I see a spoiled arrogant rich kid with an injury history. Don't think that's a guy I want to root for.

    Yawn.

Drafting a MLB in round one......and in a strong/deep draft year for them.....would be Billsy.

It would be the same kinda' need-based logic used when drafting Shaq and Ragnuts.

Your early rounds are best used on players at the money impact positions.

MLB aint one of them.........you can find a nice MLB in FA almost every offseason.    Sometimes for peanuts.

Positions like QB/PassRusher/WR/CB/LT are the $ positions.

But if they get the QB they need they can squander the rest of those picks and it would still be a great draft........... it would just be smarter to long-play the choices rather than going back down that need hole......which tends to double as a toilet drain.

In the Ron Rivera/McDermott D MLB is very important so I disagree, if you can get a kuechley type player at 22 you take him.

He would have too if Jim Harbaugh had not called 4 straight passes to Crabs at the end of thee game.. During the season in those situations they would often put a FB and TR in the backfield in the shotgun and run a power sweep to Colin. Still amazed me they didn't run that once.

I'm with you. Colin is really good QB. Better than our QBs last year or this so far. Come on Beane. Stop screwin' around. Sign Colin. We're trying to win here.

Looking at this post leads me to believe you did not watch any games kapernick played in the season before last. Even in his best season he was on par with Tyrod, maybe slightly better that season he went to the Super Bowl. He always averaged under 200 passing yards and could run, we've seen that before.  During Kapernicks last two seasons Tyrod was the much better QB. His last 20 games in his last two seasons he had 22 touchdowns and 11 picks, and you think that's a good QB? 1.05 touchdowns a game and .5 interceptions, that's what we call a back up at best.

To be fair  all he did was drugs and beat a girl, we know that means nothing in NFL

HOWEVER Take a Knee during anthem and boom Blacklisted.

You do know other players kneeled and kept there jobs. I think his downfall was he was not that good his last year + wearing the socks on the field portraying cops as pigs, oh yeah and praising the Cuban dictator Fidel Castro(he probably would have started for Miami last year if he didn't praise Castro). All that equals not worth it for the premium back up/starter money he wanted. Sorry the NFL is a business and a very competitive one at that, and if his talent outweighed his blemishes he would be on a team.

That's a big if, mental health and substance abuse issues, even if they are no longer concerns, may never allow him an opportunity again.

He's a 1st rounder who only started 8 games, I'm not sure you can even say he was a bust on the field, and that may be the only reason he gets another chance?

Kap is clearly getting blacklisted, that's been obvious for a while now.

Kap is being blacklisted because he wants starter money, and will cost a team even more money because of his actions(the kneeling, the pro Fidel Castro stuff, and the cop as a pig socks). Whether you agree or disagree, it's a business and he didn't look like a starter his last year.

How well did that work for Brady Quinn? His body type is similar to Tom Brady,

Don't act like you don't have a crush on him, we can all see it. Just don't let it get too weird.

Yep this is why I don't care about completion percentage at the college level. Manuel was exactly the same type of prospect and failed the same way Josh Allen will fail.

Lol he was not even close to the exact prospect, much different talent level. That doesn't mean he will be good but, he has much more upside than EJ ever had. The kid shows flashes of greatness, has all the physical tools, along with the willingness to work hard. That's why he doesn't automatically suck. He might end up sucking, but it's far from an open and shut case.
