  1. 800k more for a second round tender on this guy. It just baffles me that a NFL Gm would not use this to their advantage. Am I missing something? 800k more for a guy that provide solid depth on the interior offensive line.

Same thing with Mike Gillislee this year and hogan last year. It makes no sense to not tender guys with that kind of value to a 2nd Rd pick for that price. If we can see it why can the front office not?

  2. it's a lot of hope for a longshot chance. it won't hurt to try him out.

but, if we keep in the spirit of this than we should sign big ben and play him at WR.

Yeah, I remember when he ran 4.6 with a 35 inch vertical at the combine. He was also the number 1 rated TE coming out of high school. Why hasn't he switched yet, bro, ya know what I mean dawg!!!

Quaterbacks can only be one dementional, there should be absolutely no one that questions that. If you question the norm or are someone that questions following me then you are obviously just being racist.

  3. Thomas was the #1 TE nationally coming out of HS.... http://www.hokiesports.com/football/players/thomas_logan.html

I see a tremendous upside there considering he played the position at a high level already so it's not like he's learning a new position, I don't see any downside to him being here as a TE, if he fails it was a cheap option that didn't work out.

Wow #1 TE coming out, dude has major upside for sure. I think it will just depend on how hard he works. Clay could have a decent impact on his blocking skills.

Also, I really think a guy like Anquan Bolden would do wonders for our receivers and tight ends, from a veteran leadership stand point.

  4. I love the potential this guy brings to the table, but I can't find any updates on his progress converting to TE. He was a WR/TE as a Sophmore in High School before moving to QB and Safety as a junior.

6'6" 248 and these are his combine numbers.

    40 YARD DASH: 4.61 SEC

    VERTICAL JUMP: 35.5 INCH

    BROAD JUMP: 118.0 INCH

    3 CONE DRILL: 7.05 SEC

    20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.18 SEC

An athletic only comparison to OJ howard at this year's NFL Combine.

    6'6" 250

    40 YARD DASH: 4.51 SEC

    BENCH PRESS: 22 REPS

    VERTICAL JUMP: 30.0 INCH

    BROAD JUMP: 121.0 INCH

    3 CONE DRILL: 6.85 SEC

    20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.16 SEC

    60 YARD SHUTTLE: 11.46 SEC

Bottomline he is at the very least an interesting prospect, but I don't know anything about his work ethic or progress switching to TE except the Lions tried stashing him on the P.S. and we picked him up in November. Random interesting tidbit, his throws at the combine are one of the fastest clocked there ever at 60 mph.

    THOUGHTS?

  5. Wyoming is my college team so very familiar with Allen. He lost a lot of weapons so will be interesting to see if he improves on last year. If he does, I can't imagine he's not a first round pick. I mean, the physical tools are as prototypical as you could possibly hope for in a QB- perfect size, cannon for an arm and dude can run.

Yeah, we might need to tank for him or Darnold. Both remind me of Aaron Rodgers a little. I love the way Allen plays, I'll be keeping my eye on him this year.

Are the Cowboys gonna be able to make any kind of new years six bowl game run this year?

  6. Although I appreciate you sharing that information, I would hope people stop sharing that good morning football crap. It's one of the worst programs I have ever watched, its like a bunch of middle school girls talking about the NFL. It's almost unbearable, especially that Shager guy. No offense to you.
  7.

True. You begin the season 0-2, which makes even he Wild Card a heavy lift.

Imagine being the Texans. They aren't even any good but they make the playoffs every season.

That's true but, these guys are extremely competitive. I guess if that is the real reason I don't want a coach like that.

I think it might have more to do with the past ownership and the two to three year stints coaches have.

Patricia has been immersed in that culture and bellicheats defensive tutelage for years.

  8. The Patriots coordinators do not go anywhere without Bill Belichick's Ok according to our Patriot poster here.

Makes sense. Why would they want to come here?

So, they are not allowed to interview without bellicheats approval? I thought the NFL doesn't allow that with upward moves?
  9. Why are we not interviewing him for our head coaching vacancy? He has been part of a winning culture for years and knows bellicheat inside out. Their defense always seems to have our number, along with everyone's number in the league. Is there something I'm missing beside the failures of McDaniels and Mangini?

  10. I agree, it's a non-playoff team. OL is still an issue. The league has figured out that you quick pass against the d, and the QB Tyrod Taylor, a guy 8 months ago no one had heard of. He's average and last I checked, 16th in the league is out of the playoffs.

Ol and issue how many sack have they given up all year? How many just in one game. Yes while that might be our glaring need overall, we were again the better team today and let penalties kill us. Whether that is our fault fully or only partially we need to take care of it. But to act like this roster is not 12 and 4 worthy when our top two offensive weapons are out is just funny. If we don't go 12-4 it's our own fault because the talent is there.
  11. This is an 8-8, 9-7 roster at it's best.

    Reality check folks.

This is such a cowardly thing to say, I have a feeling it's Rodak. Rubbing salt on a wound is also known as burying your own grave. This team dominated defensively against a team that had 4 days extra rest, we came out stale in the first half and we are getting torn up by the refs

Seriously though what kind of life do you have, coming on a message board and trying to rile fans up after a game, you don't deserve that screen name.

  12.

We can't hold them accountable, we have to just "ignore" them.

The idea that we are all just powerless actors who can only ignore something (which is a pathetically small-time move on a macro-scale of millions of viewers) bugs me. Every time somebody posts a thread trying to start a boycott gets responses like "this is insane", "check your mental health", "Haha you're only giving them publicity". Then a moderator closes the thread. When you get down to it, what those responses are are people telling you that you are powerless to do anything.

Of course, this is very far from the truth. One determined person can get the attention of social media, authority figures with an agenda, or local media and start a grassroots campaign to make change at some pretty high levels. It happens everyday for things much larger that sports reporters on local radio stations or marginal beat reporters on ESPN.

Bam! Thank you, you are preaching to the choir. I'm so sick of people who act like we can't force a change. Espn is not a free service they get paid by us through our time, then sell that time to advertisers. If you want a change we can work together to get it done. If you don't want change and like Rodak that's fine. It seriously would not take much time or effort if everyone came together on it.
  13. Not an attack on the OP but I don't understand people who let themselves get all worked up by writers and radio hosts etc. The jobs they have require them to be controversial and questionable because without that, they become irrelevant. There are plenty I don't care for and that's ok, I don't get worked up if I accidentally read a Rodak or Sully article or listen to Schopp and the Dope. It happens, I just shake my head at what I read or heard and move on. Personally it's just not that high on my list of things to stress and get worked up about.

Yeah, I am not worked up just looking for a resolution. I use ESPN as a service to read about the teams I root for. I can either go somewhere else for my news, which I usually do, or ask ESPN to change what they put and who puts it out.

Why do I have to just walk around like a robot if I don't like a service?

  14. I agree with OP. I feel like Rodak is a condescending jerk who hates the Bills. Look on his Twitter, he proudly boasts that he used to cover the Pats. He's a New England guy, and I don't really like him covering the Bills. I'd rather have someone else covering the team.

Yeah that's all I'm saying, even if you hover over his name on espn. It says previously Pats beat writer, and nothing about the Bills.

He doesn't like us as a fan base. He most likely hates us now due to our fans torching him every time he posts anything on twitter or espn. All I am asking is for some one with some clout like Sal ETC, to get a message to this guy. I just want to give him a chance to defend himself.

  15. Seriously,he doesn't want to be here and we do not want him here. You don't have to love the team you report for, but you should not hate them. For anyone with common sense or the ability to read people it's obvious, he is "letting the hate flow through him."

I know some people have some pull here and actually report on the Bills or have large twitter followings.

Can you get him in here to respond to some of our questions? I don't think ESPN cares enough to fire him and I would not want him to lose his job... if he actually wanted it.

Side note, remember the report that came out about the Patriots using media personal to steal playboOKs and signals? I'm just saying what is stopping this guy, he is obviously pretentious and feels like working as the lowly bills beat writer is below him.

  16. Wow, just realized we are playing them coming off a bye week. Are you kidding me NFL? Three of the 5 games we played have been handicapped.

The first game shouldn't even count because you don't play the week before, so make that 3 of 4. This is BS.....feels like Mike Rodent had something to do with it.
