  1. Reports are that Thurman is in as DC and Pepper will interview for DC elsewhere, I would not be shocked if Henderson interviews for DC elsewhere. Although I think the Def will be fine it is worrying though to break up a good defense coaching staff. Too much turnover may not be such a good thing. That said I think the D will be fine, we have to address QB, OL and our running game.
  2. I approve, Rex is one of the best Def minds in the game and we can be confident that side of the ball will be fine. Only need to get a good OC and improve the OL and QB situation.
  3. I like Rex and believe our defence will only get even better under him. Question mark for the offence though, if hired his OC choice will be very important.
  4. The strategy of interviewing as many candidates as possible is prudent as long as they hire the right guy. Right guy to me means a HC whose single intent is getting into the playoffs and winning the Superbowl. Hiring the right guy will result in improvement in the areas that the Bills are weak in right now, QB, OL, and Running game. If the Bills improve in these areas and the Def remains strong we should go to the playoffs and do some damage. Getting into the payoffs and winning the superbowl should be the guiding premise for hiring a new HC .
  5. Drafting a WR very high is always a risk unless the name to trad up is Jerry Rice. Watkins is a good player but trading up for him was always going to be a controversial matter, just ask Oakland under Al Davis when they tended to draft WR with the main prerequisite of speed or Detroit. I am worried that it is Doug Whaley may be the one to make the decision in the next draft, I fear he may not make the right decision in what we do regarding QB.
  6. one thing to remember in football is that next year never comes, nothing is certain when it comes to football, we could suffer significant injuries that could derail the team's progress
  7. I am nervous for Whaley to potentially enter into a trade or offer picks for a QB. Firstly Whaley seems not to be able to identify good QB talent. Also his trade cred and roster planning in my opinion is not good as last year he could have tagged Jaris Byrd and possibly gotten a 2nd or 3rd round pick in this year's draft but he let Byrd go to New Orleans. If he remains the Bills GM it will be interesting to see if he may tag Hughes and shop him for a QB and draft picks in this year's draft.
  8. Interesting line up of coaches. I prefer Schwartz as HC and his choice of OC, i am confident he will make the right decision for his OC. I am nervous about Whaley potentially negotiating a trade for a QB. His track record tells me he may overpay in terms of draft picks for average talent.
  9. Smart Move. My wish though is for one of these upcomer OC coaches if hired will keep the defense and DC in place with Schwartz, and either increase Schwartz pay or promote him to Asst HC. Failing this promote Schwartz to HC and go in the college ranks and get a bright innovative OC to be our OC.
