  1. let me know when you get past the 2nd interview. dont twitch so much when they ask you about your inability to deal with others.

Once again your post makes no sense and sounds like frat boy trash talk. You sound like one tortured soul about this. You seem obsessed with Marrone with your recurring fantasies about him..my guess is you haven't slep much this past year just imagining bad things happening to him.....the OP is about an assertion that the real reason behind Marrone being seen as a top HC candidate is, somehow, the influence of Adam Schefter. Do you have anything to say about the thread itself? I would be genuinely interested in hearing it.

Some advice, of course take it or leave it as you please, let go of your obsession with Marrone. You may be heading towards a CVA. As Bills fans we have enough to worry about with the buffoon HC the Pegulas hired.

  2. Mojo Marrone. Any spots left for you ?

Miami interview fail ? Interviews are hard. Obviously. Hope you get to run the G men into the ground. Good luck. Maybe let someone else talk for you.

This post makes no sense. It sounds like that for you and the OP your hatred for Marrone blinds you to what is , essentially, an actuarial fact...Marrone is widely seen as a top candidate. It has nothing to do with Adam Schefter and who has what agent. Schefter, who I tend to like, does not create interest in one candidate or another. He's not that powerful. He just reports it. I don't know if Marrone gets another HC job or not. But the interest in him is actual and valid.

  3. I think we all know Schefter and Doug Marrone share the same agent (Jimmy Sexton).

On three different radio shows, I have heard Schefter spout off on how Marrone is seen as a top 3-4 candidate to fill a coaching vacancy (there are now 6 coaching vacancies).

Sooooo, if Schefter's "insight" is really a product of his highly respected "NFL Insider" status, we should be hearing something soon.

On the other hand, if Marrone doesn't get a head coaching job, Schefter will be seen as nothing but a whore. The question is, will anyone call him out on his whorish tendencies (shilling for Marrone because they share an agent and a Marrone hiring helps Sexton, which then helps Schefter).

Whether you believe it or not...or like it for not...he is widely considered a top HC prospect. Schefter's view is inconsequential. He's not creating the valid interest across the league in Marrone, he's just reporting it. It's just plain true, Marrone is seen as a top candidate. Why does it bother you so much?

Not sure what it is but the Schefter Marrone love fest really bugs me...especially because I don't believe one other Owner/GM in the league sees Marrone as a top 3-4 (let alone Top 10) head coaching candidate.

Schefter is a snake oil salesman and will lose all credibility if Marrone doesn't land a HC job.

Sorry, my last post accidently go embedded in the OP. But my point is made.

  4. I don't like this.

I hope Whaley especially doesn't take a short-sighted view and over-spends to try to save his job.

I always felt that the EJ was pick was borne out of Buddy basically having 1 more year left.

This is a good point. There is a risk there. But the good part of this is that either the Bills are in the playoffs or Rex is gone. For Rex to be even a competent HC he has to transform his character. He is not a leader and he really doesn't have a HC skill set. I'm not optimistic but, at last, it's only for on more year if it goes bad again which, sadly, I think it will.

  5. Sorry to rankle the feathers of your husband's successful tenure. Or are you Mrs. Gregg Williams, still upset that a Jerry Sullivan sullied your husband's otherwise successful track record in Orchard Park?

So enlighten us again on the mental toughness of an NFL head coach who can't handle the arrows slung by the powerful and influential WNY press corps?

I can handle it fine. Particularly from you. Your insult says more about you than me. I have found it to be the case that those who rely on insults during a discussion know they come from a weak position. But, I've learned my lesson, Mods, I will stay on the high road.

  6. False, false, and super FALSE.

    2014 Bills Offensive numbers: 5,096 total yards, 5.0 y/p, 23 Turnovers, 273 first downs

    2015 Bills Offensive numbers: 5,775 total yards, 5/7 y/p, 19 Turnovers, 297 first downs

    You're remembering all wrong.

You missed a lot. The numbers do not back up your memory, nor does the film.

This misses the point entirely. What is being compared is what Marrone got done with EJ and Orton to what he would have done with the current team. You actually make no point.

  7. He was basically a .500 coach who got bailed out by a very good defense. The units under his alleged expertise regressed over time.

Offense was better in 2014 and, again, what Marrone did to squeeze out nine wins with that offense is a testimony to his skills. This is the biggest part of the irrational beliefs held by some of you...he did a great job with that offense!

  8. Or 7-9 if Carpenter misses the FG in Detroit and the Pats** actually play their starters.

    This is a fun game.

It's a fun game, yes. The Pats game was a win, period. Such BS to not count it because Brady didn't play the second half. The game had to be played on the field and still had to be won..Rex loses that game. Also, missing/making a FG not quite the same as giving away a game that they had won handily. Still having fun?

  9. no, he did not. He was unfathomably basic in his offense, failed to utilize his playmakers to their potential, and punted in ridiculous situations where his own players called him out afterward for not putting them in a position to win.

Comparing him to Rex or Roman is irrelevant. He is accountable for the two years he had that team.

He was basic because he had no choice. Come on! He did as good as any coach could have with EJ and Orton. He did not have the QB who could run his offense. He adjusted and made do and did a damn good job in the process. And, no, comparing him to Rex is the crux of the matter. Who's a better HC. I say it again, Rex would be lucky to have two wins with what Marrone had to work with. If Marrone had the current team he gets 9 wins easy..especially with TT.

  10. this is funny. There is indeed film of his coaching.

What's funny..that he went 9-7 with crap at QB? 10-6 if not for 2 dumb fumbles in the KC game. Yeah, so his film looks pretty good given what he had to work with. The ultimate criteria is wins and losses. You know, Yolo, you come across as one of the more level headed and open minded posters here. I guess I'm a little surprised you seem to be part of Marrone as anti-Christ crowd. You seem to usually be able to see through these things.

  11. How many of those 9 wins were defensive? Defense held teams to less than 17 points 8 times last season and went 7-1 as a result.

My post already answered your question. The offense absolutely struggled. The point here, that you're missing, is that Marrone squeezed everything possible from the offense to help get the team to nine wins. He actually did a great job. If Rex had the same team they would be lucky to win two games. And let me point out, again, if it weren't for two stupid fumbles in the KC game they are 10-6. But, that's history now. I'm a Bills fan and have to support Ryan even though he is an incompetent buffoon and his history suggests that it is less likely than not that he can change.

  12. Laughable. No way Schwartz would go with Marrone after he bailed on him.

Marrone will be black balled just like Mularkey will never get a HC job again. You don't embarrass one member of a small group and get away with it.

Wishful thinking on your part. The league knows what happened. Marrone was run out of town because he wasn't liked by the media so they did an axe job on him. If you're even paying a little attention to what's going on in the league you would know you're post is wrong. Sorry it seems to cause pain for you and some other fans, but he is a legitimate hot commodity.

  13. Hackett was only handcuffed by the crap offensive personnel he had to work with , not Marrone. We now EJ is not a starting NFL QB. Marrone knew that faster than anyone. He was left with that old sloth, Orton and Marrone/Hackett some squeezed nine wins out that combo. Could have been 10 or 11 if Orton wasn't a coward (Denver game) and Bryce and Leodis didn't fumble the KC game away.

  14. Go ahead and do that yourself. I have my own sources and I am "obviously" (to quote St. Doug) not going to burn them for you or anyone else. I really do not care whether you believe me or not. Big deal.

In my opinion, the guy was a total douchebag.

In fact you do not even have to interview anyone who worked in that building if you are afraid to find out the answer. Watch that PC where St. Doug treated Scott Berchtold as if he cleaned Marrone's toilettes. Actually, I think that there was more than one. If that is the way St. Doug treated the Senior VP of Communications on camera you can draw your own conclusions as to how he treated people who worked in that building off camera.

Sorry, your reference to out of context media snippets as evidence, to me, is very weak. What you're doing is engaging in rumor mongering, nothing more IMO. Sorry, you've got nothing. Good night and happy New Year.

  15. Nothing like what you are suggesting by "inappropriate." I am not suggesting anything like that at all. It is interesting that you would think that though.

I would invite you to speak to anyone who worked in that building and ask them how he treated people -- not just football people -- but ordinary people that are just trying to make a living. You can come up with your own opinion about him.[/quot

Did YOU speak to anyone who worked that building and ask them how he treated people? If so give dates, names and statements. Otherwise it seems you're repeating things you heard but did not actually experience. You say this. Now give me some irrefutable evidence or it's just hearsay. Again, this is exactly what I'm talking about. He didn't change from a decent guy to a monster when he went from Syracuse to the Bills. I'm sorry, no offense intended but I get the feeling you really don't know what your talking about but just repeating some rumor you heard.
