  1. This is really hilarious that people are willing to have another mediocre season under Rex, like I said after last season, you only keep Rex if you think you can make the playoffs. While there is a minute chance of that, Bills just don't look like a good team especially against strong or equal competition. I don't expect that change next season and all it will prove Rex got an extra year to be mediocre like he's always been. I rather the Pegulas admit hiring Rex was a mistake and that they will hire a smarter coach who knows how to coach in the modern NFL.

  2. Let's look at who the Bills have been this season:

    Cardinals

    Injured Jacoby Brissett-led Patriots

    Rams

    49ers

    Jaguars

    Bengals

    Browns

The Bills are what they are are, a mediocre team who is barely alive in the playoff race and has shown it cannot beat good teams or teams are at a similar level( Pats w/ Brady, Dolphins, Ravens, Steelers, Raiders, Seahawks). Keep Rex is essentially admitting we are find being a 8-8 or 9-7 as long as beat bad teams and hopefully get lucky beating an elite team someday. There is no positive way to spin bringing back the Rex and Tyrod combo back another season, it just gonna to lead to more mediocrity and bloviating from Rex.

  4. Gotta get rid of Russ Brandon, I don't want that man anywhere near any new coaching hire. Reassign him permanently to the Sabres, he has done nothing to improve this franchise in his tenure in the front office. Get a real football personnel to run President of Football Operations.

  5. What was bad about this game was the 24-9 lead. I said all week that the bills had a path to 10-6 and this the one they were likely to lose. The rest of the sked is relatively easy.

You cannot be serious right now, this was the perfect chance for the Bills to show they have a contender for a playoff spot and cratered in the 2nd half after taking a 24-9. This team isn't winning next week and I'm not sure they are beating the Dolphins. Rex Ryan is essentially a loud mouth version of Jeff Fisher.

  6. The game shows how close the Bills are to putting it together with the way they held up against SEA in their place. It's truly a fine line in the NFL between Great and good, and between good and mediocre.

If only the Bills had safeties like Chancellor and Thomas, oh yea that is a position Whaley has neglected for years in the draft

  7. I don't know about that..Chiefs and the Bronco's still have two against each other left.

Denver also has Titans, Patriots and Raiders...5 tough games there.

Chiefs outside of the 2 with Broncos have Falcons, Raiders, Titans, Chargers...

Aint over yet guys..these are flawed teams that win only cause the other team makes awful mistakes. Not looking good for others teams for sure...but sure as hell aint done yet either

Bills have to go 6-1 just to get to 10-6, not happening.

  8.

Ron Rivera - 6-10, 7-9 his first 2 years. Carroll was 7-9 his first 2 years in Seattle. Lewis was 8-8 his first 2 years. Garrett was 8-8 for 3 years before finally making the playoffs.

Not to say all are created equal, but sticking with a guy can have its benefits. Rex seems to be finding himself a bit more here as well. Not playcalling the D anymore, and having more of a say on the offense. Things a HC should do.

Both Rivera and Carroll were coming into re-building franchises, Rex came to a 9-7 that were two victories away from a playoff spot. You only keep Rex if you are 1000% confident that the Bills make the playoffs next season. If not, you are wasting time keeping him imo. My issue with Rex is that he makes no adjustments still on defense imployment, can't put your CBs on an island like you have prime Revis and Cromartie. Gotta adjust to the modern times of the vertical passing game.
