Running and passing for success
Niagara Dude replied to Meatloaf63's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would offer Henry huge money to sign here, if Sean wants to be a running team then he gives you the best opportunity to do that. -
I think Sean and Beane are at fault for not getting Josh a true #1, Brown and Beasley are #3 WR'S on most teams. The fact is this team had a very easy schedule and lost against the good teams during the regular season, if they don't bring play makers in next season then i could see them not even making the playoffs. Both Metcalf & Brown for the Titans were available to the Bills and they chose to go with Ford who could not even start on every down. Sean thinks you can win games kicking FG'S and it cost them against the Texans. The sad thing is this season was wide open for anyone to win and that may not be the case next year. I did not like hearing Beane & Sean talk about not being active in free agency despite having 90 mill in cap space and they would prefer to take care of their own. Paying what you have more is not going to make you better, you need to bring in play makers on both sides of the ball if you expect to not only make the playoffs but win in the playoffs.

AJ Brown another player we could have had

Knowing Sean he will spend 4 picks on defensive side and than draft some sleeper WR in 5th or 6th round telling everyone who they cannot believe the WR last so long. -

Then sign some play makers so it does not happen again, you and Sean think you can win playing caveman football. -
Josh fails and those two guys will fail with him, Sean made the call to draft defense (White) over Mahomes, these guys think you can win playing caveman football. Passed on both Mahomes and Mecallf, that is on them and either they get Josh some surrounding talent to win or they will be right behind him leaving the building. I don't like hearing about having 90 million in cap space and not talking about getting some play makers. You need play makers to win in the playoffs,

I think Knox was a great find and will blossom into one of better TE'S in the NFL, i think you return with Bease/Brown and Duke as our #4 or #5 receiver and sign Green along with a first or second round receiver pick. We need size because it is not easy to throw over LB'S to receivers who are not tall

End of the day after watching Metcalf dominant in his first playoff game i have to wonder how much better would Allen had looked if he had huge 6'4 athletic freak to throw to all season or in his first playoff game. Sorry Brown and Beasley are not elite talent and are very small WR'S , for me the Bills failed to surround Allen with the proper tools and now you have people questioning if he is a franchise QB. Get the kid elite players, i can remember the struggles Jim Kelly had before the Bills signed James Loften. Big receivers with speed make a difference and those throws that go over the 5"11 or 5"8 players get hauled in. This offseason the high picks and free agent money needs to be used on skilled position offensive players, look at what KC surrounded Mahomes with and they keep adding more every season.

Matt Milano and missed tackle

I agree that offense needs the most help -
Hard to believe the Texans only had 4 penalties all game

Matt Milano and missed tackle

I would agree and is on the team because of his coverage skills, if the team wants to improve against the run then the Bills may want to look at upgrade. I would say they are about equal, not sure why they took suck a deep drop back in coverage. Once again LB'S should have been closer to the line well in front of sticks -
Matt Milano and missed tackle

Part of the mourning process, reality is sometimes it's better to lose by 30 then 3 points in OT when you had many opportunities to win. The missed tackle will be the last bad thing that happened that helped Texans win this game. -

2019 Re-Draft: Cody Ford vs DK Metcalf

7 catches over 160 yards today -
The most disappointing part of the final Houston drive was the missed tackle by Milano who has missed other key tackles during the season. Never mind the DB who also missed Milano is a starting LB and there is no excuse at all for not wrapping up Watson. I keep watching the replay and just don't know how a starting LB misses a clean shot a QB at the most pivotal moment of the game. Then i watch JJ'S sack on Allen where he picks Allen and carries him to the ground. The worst part is our HC talked about the importance of tackling during the week
