    Excellent post, and other than Star & Hauschka everyone on your surprise list will not be a surprise. Right dead money is just signing bonus that was already paid, the salary for that year is paid. Dead money is only a problem when you have cap issues, if they believe they can sign an upgrade they will.

    Within reason yes, but he is no elite player. You don't pay him more than 8 million per season which is what he deserves
