In my area, for from NY, houses are appraising for more because we'll it costs more to replace them because all materials are inflated. Which I guess is just the new price at this point.
^ this. I received an estimate from a roofing contractor yesterday that was $10K higher than a bid from the same contractor in 2018.

It will be interesting to see how things shake out during training camp. I have only seen Williams play once, in the 2023 Cotton Bowl. The kid was all over the field and was voted the game's defensive MVP against a USC team that was touted as one of the 4 NCAA playoff teams before losing to Utah in their last game of the regular season.

Zack Thomas was deemed too small and not athletic enough to play MLB coming out of Texas Tech.

I would describe this thread as something rapidly approaching peak off season…
Still thought it might be a month away…
My thoughts exactly. How many days until training camp starts?

Definitely don’t want Tyree Wilson on the Jets
Agreed. He dominated a good TCU offensive line in the TCU vs Texas Tech game last season.

My daughter goes to TCU so I have seen Johnson play quite a bit (when he wasn't injured). I would not draft him in the first round and agree with the comments above regarding him not being polished, playing smaller than he is and excelling against weak secondaries.

How many more pages until this tops the Mario Williams thread?

I think Harris is a more consistent chain mover. YPC might be the same, but my memories of Singletary are me getting excited after an early 20+ yard run and then a long string of relative ineffectiveness
and a fumble...

Yes and no. Like it or not a 3rd round pick is going to get more chances to make the roster than a third day pick or UDFA. It has no relevance on whether or not he will succeed but it does on the opportunities he will be given by the regime that drafted him so high.
Who is to say if Bernard will develop or not? Sample size is too small, but so is he to play in the NFL. Ha see what I did there? Would be great if he can turn into a playmaker. Even if he gives Milano a few reps of rest during the game or plays the big-nickel or rare 4-3 OLB, he may be valuable. His role in the defense in OTA's and training camp will be an interesting watch.
Converted to safety? Basically the same size as Coy Wire.

My brother and sister are teachers so it's in my blood to take a swing at them every chance I get.
Regarding the coaching part, completely agree. Everyone jokes about the "old boys club" with the owners but it's just as bad, if not worse, when it comes to coaching. You have to know someone that knows someone that knows someone just to get an internship in college and hope you can ascend.
See Nathaniel Hackett.

Is he? 68.3 catch percentage for his career, playing with Mac Jones in two of those seasons. He's also increased his yards per game each of the last 4 seasons. He's definitely not a stud #1 but we don't need him to be, we just need a guy that can run a 10 yard pattern and catch the ball.
I'm available and will come cheap. Willing to work for $500K / season

You were doing so well posting all of this in the other thread. Why start a new one? But let me ask you a question. Do you believe that Beane released Hodgins to sign Brown and Beasley?
I'm fairly certain Daboll evolved into a better OC from his first year with the Bills to his last.

It's not what they think they will happen, it's where the money goes. We'll always be in the conversation with Allen, but those of us that watch every play of every Bills game knows "not with this team". It's like when your friends that didn't watch Bills games tried to tell you Tyrod was good because they looked at stats and saw a highlight on Sportscenter.
There is a Raiders fan at the local establishment where I watch the games that told me I was nuts, the Bills were the best team in the league every time I said I had doubts about them this year. When I walked into the place after the Bengals game he asked me what happened...

I was born in CT and moved to Dallas in the early 70's with my family when my dad was transferred there for work. Our neighbors there included Mel Renfro and Roger Staubach so I became a huge Cowboys fan, which continued after moving to OPNY in 1975. I've been a Bills fan ever since then and the Cowboys were my 2nd favorite team until they treated Tom Landry like crap when JJ bought the team and brought in JJ. Though I left WNY in 1984 to attend college, I've always stayed connected and would move back in a second if my Pats*** bride wasn't so attached to the northeast. Pats*** aside for obvious reasons, people here don't understand why I still despise the Bruins and Celtics, even after living here for over 30 years (Brad Park in game 7 anyone?). I have 3 kids in their 20's who, much to my wife's dismay, are all Bills fans.

^these. My daughter goes to TCU and I watched every TCU game this year. A smaller version of Allen, albeit with a weaker arm. He carried that team this year.

Gabe was open enough, he just proved he’s incapable of making a contested catch. I hope the Bills draft a 1b WR and push Gabe down the lineup where he was much better last season. They can then use Shakir and whomever else as the slot. Get someone dangerous to compliment Diggs and it makes it harder to cover everyone else down the roster.
Not sure what happened to Davis but the touchdown catch he had against Minkah Fitzpatrick in week 5 was about as contested as you can get.

McDermott realized Dennison wasn't working as OC after his first season and brought in Dabol, which makes his hesitancy to move on from Frazier puzzling.

I disagree, the worst RB philosophy is what the Bills tried before Singletary.
And that’s spent/worn out veterans like Mike Tolbert, Chris Ivory, Frank Gore being the lead back.
The next line of my post was they have over valued the position relative to round.
And Beane owns the horrid Moss evaluation.I do think you need a draftable traits running back on the team, meaning it can’t just be undrafted players, but it needs to be 5th, 6th and 7th rounders who play one contract out and then leave.
Moss had decent stats once he was traded to the Colts, which underscores the issues discussed here ad nauseum regarding the offensive line and overall scheme.
-
Watching the 49ers offense operate with a 3rd string QB magnifies the ineptitude of the Bills offensive scheme(s).

For how little Dorsey used the short throw, I don't know why they even bothered bringing him back.
As Florio points out here, the personnel they have doesn't match the offense Dorsey is trying to run.

Didn't they say the same thing about Rick Dennison?
