When a guy is THAT wide open 50 plus yards down the field, the last thing you want to see is an overthrow.

Allen, despite what some here think, made the absolute proper, safe throw to secure an absolutely huge gain.

My intent wasn't to criticize the throw, I was reacting to the comment about keeping Diggs happy.  Not sure I agree with the "safe throw" logic.  When has Allen been one to play it safe?

Personally, I think they need to bring in an experienced president of hockey operations, not so much to oversee the GM/HC, but more to insulate the GM/HC from the owners' hockey naivete and let them do their jobs.

It would have been interesting to see how LaFontaine fared if he had stayed...  I despise the Bruins almost as much as the Pats*** but you can't argue with the success they have had with Neely and now Don Sweeney in the front office.

Take what the defense gives you all day long. We have too many weapons on offense for 1 or 2 not to be open every play. Get it to the open guy and keep marching down the field. I worry that Josh will be too amped up and kill some drives taking unnecessary shots down the field especially if the game is close or we are behind. If we are ahead by a score or two, ok take a shot, but otherwise take what the defense gives you. You have Diggs and Beasley who can both get open in a phone booth, Sanders can take the top off a defense, Davis is big bodied and sure handed, and Knox is coming into his own. Running game is looking decent and both RB's can catch out of the backfield. You can't tell me the Chiefs have enough to man-up everyone.

Agree with your last statement, unless the Chief's secondary is allowed to mug our receivers like they did in the Championship game last year.  I believe I saw a thread earlier this week that indicated the referees that called the Super Bowl are working this game, so that may alleviate that tactic.  I think the Bills will get the much sought-after "statement win" on Sunday night.

The reason we lost, simply put is the offense didn't execute. The offensive game plan was garbage. The playcalling was terrible. The punt block. Lots to work on this week.

^this.  It was frustrating watching the later games and seeing less-potent offenses (aka Chicago) keep a talented, aggressive defense from teeing off on the QB by executing screens and swing passes to the RB coming out of the backfield.  Isn't that the primary reason the Bills signed Brieda?

wtf is going on there?  this is like statistically impossible.  What are they doing?  What is the playing surface?  Cleats fitting correctly>?  Poor offseason conditioning program?

in terms of fantasy, is it Bell or the other RB we should be planning to play?  (thinking either is a cheap DFS option)

    How is their O-line

I picked up Bell last night and just picked up the other guy.  Early reports are that Bell is "learning the system" so I will probably start the other guy (Ty'Son Williams)

  6. Sorry to hear about your mom.  My father in law has dementia and as Polish Dave says above, it has been stressful on my wife and mother in law.

I grew up in OP and am partial to that town.  If I were to move back would either live there or East Aurora, which used to be a bit more low-key (not sure if that is still true).
