  1. I watched the official Pats post game, the one by the guys who get their checks signed by Bob Kraft. Very old school bunch of balding, white haired newsroom types. They were very measured in their takes. Had some gripes about officiating, but acknowledged they were gripes and not relevant to the loss. "How do we defend Josh Allen for the next ten years, because we haven't figured it out so far" was a theme. "This is what life is like on a middling football team" was a theme. Pretty much agreed that it's time for Dont'a Hightower to hang up his cleats. To a man they all missed Stephon Gilmore. Said their defensive scheme falls apart without a true Revis-Island level man cover corner. JC Jackson wants to be that guy, but couldn't stop Diggs. Said the Bills had the WR depth to spread out the defense, get NEs huge, physical LBs off the field, then feast on DB depth chart. McKenzie's career day was case and point. All in all it was a good watch. My guess having a room full of commentators from before the "Real Football starts in January, who are we playing in the AFCCG?" generation helped.
  2. Belichick can't hide his Golden Boy anymore, and they've been getting fluffed for two straight months about a return to the Good Old Days that is just around the corner. A shame they can't handle it
  3. My lord Packers fans are lame. Hope they win though. Cleveland is doing it's best to Chad Pennington Baker Mayfield, but they've got enough talent and scheme to at least stay competitive. I'm a little jealous.
  4. It has nothing to do with NFL Analysts Teddy Bruschi, Willy McGinnest, Damien Woody, Rodney Harrison, Rob Ninkovich, Randy Moss and Aqib Talib. That they all played for the same team at one point is coincidence.
  5. I don't see Bobby Hart or Cody Ford playing, so it looks good to me.
  6. The hype on Jones seems to be dying down to a tolerable level. He's been sharp for a rookie, that's for sure, but I think the folks who were setting up his bust in Canton @ 10 weeks into his career have shut up a bit.
  7. Repeat this loudly and often. There are teams right now that would kill to be "down to just" Emmanuel Sanders, Stefon Diggs and Dawson Knox. I hope Sanders knee is 100% though, count on the Pats to get physical with him early on if he lines up in the slot.
  8. Fun thing from Wiki. The actual Colour Sergeant Bourne wasn't quite 24 years old when he fought at Rourke's Drift. He was just the youngest Colour Sergeant in the whole British Army at the time.
  9. It's up to Allen, Diggs, Knox, McKenzie and Singletary to play out of their minds. Also, Happy Birthday Touchdown Jesus. Time to earn that game check.
  10. I'm just really enjoying the lack of Pats flavored doom posting in this thread. Round 1's thread you'd have thought Josh was up against Brady, Moss, Welker, Seymour, Wilfork, Bruschi, Willy McGinnest, The David's both Patten and Givens, and possibly Corey Dillon and Asante Samuel.
  11. He's is his 20s, and he's got millions of dollars. He wants to be on South Beach, running through tik tok stars and Instagram models 2 at a time.
  12. Oh, another reason why I'm high on this game. Belichick has his hand picked Brady successor. He had an enormous FA budget, and spent cash like water building a roster designed from the ground up to beat teams like KC and Buffalo. He thinks he knows exactly what's coming and has all the tools he needs to beat it on both sides of the ball. If he doesn't, it means NE's best shot wasn't good enough. When are they gonna have $150 million in cap space again? Yeaaahhh.
  13. Having two food TEs is a luxury. Having two good OGs is a necessity.
  14. Yes. Agreed completely. Bring in a real OL coach, get him the talent he needs, and get Josh the support he deserves. Josh will run through walls if he's asked, but I want to watch him QB for another 10 years. If he ends up a broken down shell like Cam, that's unforgivable.
  15. How's about we stop penalizing in yards, and start penalizing players. Instead of moving the ball backwards and forwards, take players off the field.
  16. Hackery at its finest. Here's an idea. Maybe McD was pissed at himself for taking his first L against the bradyless Pats in a game he should have won. Maybe he's not afraid of the Hoody like he's supposed to be.
  17. Well it's because they are TOUGH and PHYSICAL. Not a soft, finesse D like Buffalo. A D that is TOUGH and PHYSICAL would never get pimp caned by Indy.
  18. Ohhhhh I can't wait for this game. What a chance to send NE tumbling from a presumptive #1 Seed and Division champs to "In The Hunt" JAGs fighting for a wildcard.
  19. I get it, this isn't an awful conference loss coming off a bye, it's a very special kind of Pats win!
