WITHOUT any flags. Just looking at him mean might get 15 yards these days.

Yeah, I’m talking to YOU, Jerry. Great game last week, let’s keep it up and leave flags in the pocket.

Same can be said of Clay Matthews, I’m not sure why, but he seems to be the officials whipping boy lately. Which may actually bode well for Allen

    Yeah, you can...

He almost threw a pick 6 while backpedaling away from pressure. All he had to do was throw it away and live to fight another day. His awareness is nowhere near a vet's.

Almost counts in horseshoes, but that didn’t happen. You think Peterman or McCarron would have had the night they had behind the OL Allen had? If you’re gonna nitpick the bad , give credit for the good

I agree, Orton was not as athletic as Allen, so it was a bad comparison on my part.

But the only reason I can see that we drafted Allen with the 7th pick, is because we have a brand new front office,

eager to find a gem in the rough, like Tom Brady, and forever set themselves apart from the pack.

I'm wasn't sold on Josh Allen as the best 7th pick, and this game didn't do anything to alleviate my fears.

Yes, he was playing with the 3rds. but he is uncomfortably inaccurate with many of his throws.

I’m willing to give Allen a pass on the inaccurate throws given how much pressure he faced with the 3rd team OL. They sure didn’t do him any favors, but that being said, you can’t deny he handled the pressure as good as a vet. I swear this kid has a bionic arm, it just seemed the 2 bombs he threw were so effortless. Fitzpatrick couldn’t throw that far with everything he had.

I tend to agree with others that we need to see what he does with the first string offense and better pass protection. And I also agree to bring him along slow and steady

I think its the level of negativity I am getting at but totally respect yours and others opinion.. again its the crystal ball users and the living in the past people that drive me nuts

I can understand that to a certain degree. It's just another way a disappointed Bills fan copes with years of frustration. Think about it, if the Bills completely do a 180 with Allen, those same people will more than likely admit to being wrong, and every bit as happy as the next Bills fan.

  5. I've just now posted since the draft, I wasn't exactly anti-Allen, but I sure wasn't for him either. Now where you're kinda stepping on toes here is that a lot of Bills fans have every right to criticize a move the Bills make given the last decade or so. You gotta remember, there were players in past drafts a lot of Bills fans hit on (Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, DeShaun Watson etc). Now you may have been able to shrug those picks that could have been Buffalo's off, but the same can't be said for everyone else. I get the part about being tired of the negativity. Me personally, I ignore it.

Again, I'm not crazy about the Allen pick but I will go as far as waiting to see what happens. But to me, it's not right to go after even a group of people for how they cope with years of disappointment year in and year out. If the  expressions are what you consider to be too negative, you gotta ask yourself, did they earn it? If they've been fans of this team for all those years, then yeah, I think they have earned it

Not only do I think Rosen will be better, I think he's a better fit for what we want to run on offense, and we can get him later, keeping more picks.  Yes, there is a slight injury concern, but I think it's overblown, and I'm not worried about it.

I would be happy with any of the 3, not just Darnold or Rosen. The thing about the injury thing being overblown is that others, namely other GMs, think the same thing which makes me believe a hefty price will have to be paid to get him from where we are now. The third option of course being Mayfield.

so build a complete team this draft and overpay for QB next year.  Lamar Jackson and MLB, G, WR, C, CB and $100M in 2019 sounds like an incredible future to me for our Bills!

Unfortunately that sounds more like a mediocre past because the Bills have been doing that same thing over and over. Settling for Jackson or Rudolph is basically doing the same thing we've been doing for close to 2 decades now and it's yielded one playoff appearance. Time to break from the norm and roll the dice

  8. Ok so if we fill holes by keeping our picks, who's to say those picks will pan out any better than trading up for a top QB? If we miss on the picks we keep, then what? We can't keep taking shots in the dark on 2nd and 3rd round QB picks hoping we  hit the bullseye in the dark. We've been trying that for over a decade minus Manuel and Losman. The common theme for this team's shortcomings has always been the same, lack of a franchise QB. Would you risk yet another failed lower round QB pick for the sake of filling holes elsewhere? No matter how many holes we have now, none is bigger than the QB position

What three first rounders you are talking about????  Most packages I see Bills are giving up 12, 22, and a 2019 pick.  Getting back the 2nd OVERALL.  So where is the 3 first rounders again?

And settling at the most important position has worked so well for the Bills

You see what Jets are about to do?????  CUT a second tier QB prospect because they went up to go get a TOP END QB prospect

To be fair, I don't think the Bills can get to #2 without both firsts this year and next year's first. Indirectly, the Jokes did the Giants a huge favor moving up to #3.

That being said, I'd still pull the trigger and make the trade anyway. Just because Beane said he'd rather build through the draft doesn't mean he's automatically gonna pass on a top QB when he has the means to acquire one. How would it not be a greater risk to hit every draft pick filling multiple holes than hitting a single pick for the most important hole to fill as you've been saying.

I agree 100% with your assessment

Wonder if that was what triggered Ajayi's trade.  I wonder if it is an indication of leadership?  Not sure if Gase is a type of person you want coaching your team especially when he kept calling out the offense and that is his experience

If I recall, Ajayi was traded before the fins played the Bills. I kept remembering thank god we didn't have him to worry about.

Plus, we've got a huge cap surplas next year....we can be very pro-active in FA then.

All the more reason to gamble and move up this year. Seriously, missing out on Mahomes and Watson has to be the final straw. With all the grief the fans gave to guys like Whaley, Nix and Levy for missing out on QBs, do we really want to take that chance again knowing we have the ability to move up?

I would risk it this year because to me, either way, McCaron will be the starter. I really don't want to wait another god knows how

many years for another opportunity and waste any more time with project QBs until another QB heavy draft.

How many years have we ignored the QB position hoping to be the exception to the rule?
