  1. Typical officiating for a Bills=Pats game. All of the above - so infuriating. Thre was one where Gronk shoved McKelvin about 5 yards away and came back fo the catch. This was after Woods got called for a push off that was about 10% of what Gronk did. And not sure if anyone else noticed this and I can't remember the exact play but it was in the first half. There were two flags thrown, a big conference of the zebras, then the head guy trots over to the Pats sideline and has a big discussion with Bellicheat. Comes back on the field and calls offsetting penalties on both teams. It almost seemed to me like he was getting Bellyache's consult of what to do there. Offsetting penalties is about as basic as it gets. Why the long conversation with the visiting head coach? Makes me wonder if the two penalties were actually both on the Pats. And as others have stated, this is not just Bills games. You see it in games across the league where certain teams just get the calls (or mostly don't get called). All I ask is if they're going to call ticky-tack crap, do it to both teams.

Offsetting penalties on a punt, the receiving team has the option of the play or a rekick. The Hoodie went for the rekick and lost 18 yards (ball was on the fiddy, ended up on the Cheats 32 on the rekick). No conspiracy here, move along.

  2. Please, if you can, put these clips together in a you tube video. Point out the players in the replays and show the double standard.

We as fans need to make this an issue.

PS: the replacement refs were better, because they were at least equally bad

I second that motion. Please put clips together and post. I'd like to see them.

Sorry guys, I already deleted the DVR. I have no idea how to vidcap my Time Warner DVR. If you could tell me how to do it, I'll be more than happy to post them in the future.

  3. Having the Caveman as a healthy scratch against the Cheats made zero, zip, nada, sense. Marrone is proving to be an amateur in a professional's game. If he'd won, I'd be OK with it. But not having the team ready to play, the inablility or unwillingness to throw to Sammy, this benching, the statement that he had no input to Schwartz's decision to sideline Mario and Jerry on the Cheats last drive, etc., all show that Marrone is not in control. I hope Mike can stay after Marrone is fired. If not, all the best to you Caveman.

  4. In the 4th Q, right after the 2 point conversion that put the Bills down 8. On the Pats very next drive…..

Brady throws a short pass to Edlemen, which he catches and then drops due to good coverage. The play-side line judge blew his whistle and signaled incomplete pass. I thought it was a fumble the Bills recovered, so did half of my section.

So I look up and watch the replay on the big board. Its very close, could be incomplete or could be a fumble. I turn back to the field and they are moving the chains for a Pats* first down….

What the heck happened? Anyone watching on TV care to explain? I had friends at the game in another section, they said their entire section didn’t know how an incomplete pass could lead to a first down either……

That was the phantom offsides play on Jarius Wynn. He flinched but never entered the neutral zone. Edelman took three steps and it should have been a fumble recovered by the Bills. With the penalty, no challenge, and 1st down Cheats.

  5. I watched the Pats final drive again before I jackhammered my DVR. First, a phantom offsides call on Jarius Wynn, who flinched, but did not enter the neutral zone. Edelman caught the ball and took three steps before Leodis ripped the ball away and the Bills recovered. Called incomplete, no chance to challenge because of the phantom offsides. On a subsequent play, Edelman wraps his right hand around McKelvin's waist and throws him aside before making the catch, no OPI call. Lastly, on Gronk's 3rd and 16, he pushes Preston Brown to the ground, no OPI call. Moose Johnston even said it should be OPI. No call. If Woodys play was OPI, so were these plays by Gronk and Edelman.

  6. The secondary was pathetic today. The PI penalty that Williams took was pure panic and stupid. If Buffalo wants to win, need to cut down on the obvious stuff and get better in covering the air games. Spiller was irrelevant and made a lot of dumb mistakes that cost us, the fumble before the half was just sure idiocy.

Having to play the officials also does not help the cause any. Pretty sad when NE WRs are allowed to push DBs to the ground to "create separation" and not get flagged. Like others, it wouldn't be so bad if these kinds of things were consistently called but they aren't. The Hughes penalty is in response to the NFLs new zero tolerance policy concerning domestic abuse.

    Not funny, but funny.

  7. Yes he does. The final patriots touchdown Duke Williams completely took the play off. If he ran he would have stopped the TD. That is a bench-able offence IMO

    terrible game.

I just saw the replay of the TD to LaFell. It's clear that Leodis is passing him off to the deep safety, but WILLIAMS IS JOGGING!! NO HUSTLE AT ALL!! I haven't seen a play that bad by a Bill since last preseason when Da'Rick stood there and watched the fumble-6 against the Colts.

Does that "SS" refer to the Schutzstaffel or "Strong Safety" ???

    Wasn't sure.

    That's not wrong.

  8. Loser teams complain about officiating. The better team wins. Where were all the complaints during the comeback game when Beebe clearly stepped out of bounds before his TD?

An entire thread blaming the refs is !@#$ing pathetic.

If you really thought the officiating was even-handed today, I'm not sure what game you were watching. This is one of the most one-sided games I've ever seen from an officiating standpoint. If that was really OPI on Woods, which killed that Bills drive, then it was OPI on Edelman and Gronk on that final drive. You can't call the Bills OPI and then let those calls go.

  9. This lets me know you still maintain a losers mentality. When you root for a winner you realize your team can overcome bad officiating. As the Pats did last week vs Cincy

How about the non-call for Edelman's OPI on the Cheats last drive? He wrapped his arm around McKelvin's waist and just threw him out of the way. Or Gronk pushing Brown to the ground on 3rd and 16? How do you overcome that on the last drive of the game where you need the ball back and the refs just keep giving it to the Cheats?
