*****in' A, Bubba. McBeane continues to build defense while giving Josh second-tier skill players. Sherfield and Sharty were *****in' jokes, and this year it's Hollins and Hamler. We now have the weakest WR corps(e) since 2018. This is shaping up as yet another wasted season for Josh, unless Coleman is the next Ja'Marr Chase.

Two of my favorites were McKittrick scoring 3 TDs in the 56-26 annihilation of the Fish, and his tour de force against the Cheats.

Basically that they're gonna be the new

The only thing you're overlooking is the extension that McBeane cut for Diggs, which ballooned his dead cap number this year to $31M.

C- for me. Beane only added two offensive skill positions out of 10 picks. I can't believe in a draft this deep for WR talent, the Bills continuously passed on getting that 2nd WR. Maybe one of the dozen or so UDFA WRs we signed will actually make the 53.....
-
*****in' A Bubba, you nailed it. Another year of defense and only two skill players on offense. We're supposed to believe that in the deepest WR draft in years, the Bills didn't have any other WRs worth drafting?

He hasn't really got an rugby to go back to. He played amateur rugby. He has never been a pro. It's a really interesting back story.
Just kidding, I hope this guy is not Christian Wade redux.

OK, so this guy rides on the taxi squad, never sees the field, and goes back to rugby in 3 years....

We have two of the next 3 picks.... what you reckon? Beane goes 2 WRs so he can say he drafted 3?
Nope.

Is Beane for some reason intentionally not drafting WR's that are there?
He's just trying to piss us off.

Because from some reason, they did not want Franklin. They couldn't do more work on him, and still did nothing to get him. Maybe they made a wrong decision, but their final evaluation was clearly very different than yours.
Didn't have to be Franklin, but as others pointed out here, the Bills put an awful lot of work into the guy. I really felt we needed 2 WR out of this draft, and McBeane disagreed. I'd rather err on the side of giving Josh weapons, because our WR room is really weak.

Yep it has that 2016 Shaq-Ragnuts-Washington "off-the-bus-starters" draft feel to it.
It shouldn't be a total disaster like that one because the players are actually walking off the bus into proven systems........but doesn't feel like they've gotten much juice for their squeeze.
When I saw the Fat Boy from Duke get picked, I immediately thought of the Meat Tenderizer. Jesus that draft was a nightmare.

He isn't close to the best ever. He is arguably the most physically talented ever. That's a different question.
OK, we gonna disagree. Let me ask you this. Why not pick Franklin at 95, and get Fat Boy from Duke later? Did we really need a rotational DT more than another WR?

The best Bills QB ever, right?
Yes, the best Bills QB ever, but I also see him as arguably the best ever. He hasn't won any rings because Beane simply won't invest on offense.

I'm not so sure people say Defense doesn't matter: it's more like people saying the Defense hasn't done anything to stop the Chiefs in 3 postseason games so maybe the plan should be to just outscore them.
Thank you for not twisting my words.

I mean did our aging safeties not stand out to anyone in that game? Lol Klein also got absolutely victimized. this defense doesn’t matter mantra is getting a little tired seeing as the chiefs won with defense all year
You misunderstand me. I'm tired of the Bills going all-in on defense. It's long past time to go all-in on offense. When you have arguably the best QB ever, you need to surround him with offense talent that will deliver in the clutch, instead of gagging it away.

I used comparable skill sets to make it an easier read, but you can just look at it as we lost 4 WRs this offseason and have only added 3. We are -1 on the roster. Something has to be coming. If it's a post-6/1 vet trade I'm good with that, possibly great with that depending on the player. Ideally Aiyuk, if not him ideally Deebo, if not them I guess Courtland Sutton as a baseline #2 outside WR isn't too bad. Maybe there's some other name no one is talking about. But a starting caliber addition simply has to be made.
Given our cap situation, we needed 2 WR's out of this draft. Passing on Troy Franklin at 95 is inexplicable. I just don't get the emphasis on defense, which always fails.

OMG. Beane continuing to draft defense and leaving the best player in the NFL without weapons. Ugh. Can't wait to see Mahomes do yet another game winning drive in the 4th QTR against this defense in the Divisional Round.

This Will Be The Make Or Break Year For This Regime

Unless the Bills go 6-11 or worse, McBeane ain't going anywhere. More's the pity, because neither are the Bills.
