  1. I would say yes because we know what Tyrod will give us (anywhere between 7-9 wins). We don't know what Deshaun will give us. He has a very comparable skill set to Tyrod but is unproven on the NFL level (could be a good or bad thing). Plus we'd unload Tyrods contract, reset at QB, be in a good position to draft a QB next year if Deshaun doesn't get better during the season, all while NOT spending a first round draft pick on him
  2. Nick Saban is such a great coach. You know he knows how to maximize talent and production out of his players. That's why I think a lot of Bama players peak while in school and don't improve any more in the pros. They are good players, but not elite (for the most part). And that's a reason why I really would have hated to draft OJ Howard.
  3. For me, he can't tackle to save his life. And he shys away from contact constantly
  4. Deshaun Kizer.....in round 1 or 2....or at all
  5. But Hogan wasn't a good fit for our team. IMO. Gillislee was mishandled. I'll agree on that
  6. I wish the Buffalo media would ask the pegulas why Russ Brandon has a job when he's been the common denominator. Really hammer at him
  7. Thing that pisses me off the most is Whaley lost his job because if the Rex shenanigans. RussBrandon is the one who wanted to hire Rex and Whaley is getting screwed because Rex can't coach up a team. I thought Whaley was a good GM and I've mostly liked his moves. But his ultimate downfall was not getting a QB in the draft (which I don't blame on him...we never had a good opportunity to grab one). There is so much more you need to draft a QB than just a need for one (coaching, good supporting/ complimenting teammates). I think Doug knew this and he also knew by forcing a QB could hurt the team longer down the line. I think Doug was one of the best evaluators in the NFL at finding other NFL talent to sign for one or two year deals. I hope we get a better GM than him. It would really suck if we hire some bum and we regress back to 4-12/ 5-11 seasons
  8. Very good review. I completely agree with you on everything you said about OJ Howard. Glad we didn't take him. But I do think he will be an excellent fit in Tampa with those WRs they have a Jameis throwing to him. I also agree with the Peppers pick being questionable for the Browns. Even the Njoku pick. Feel like they took risky players when the could have taken "cleaner" prospects knowing that they need starters all over their team.
  9. I'm not gonna lie, I'd love to draft Chad Kelly in the 5th. To me the risk is worth the reward. And it would be an awesome story of the Kelly's possibly lifting up Buffalo
  10. Chiefs were in a better position to draft Mahomes than we were (if we even wanted him). They have Alex Smith to start this year and let Mahomes sit and learn. The Chiefs also have a great coaching staff topping it with Andy Reid to coach him up for a year. The Bills on the other hand, we don't have that proven starter (meaning if Tyrod fails, everyone would be calling for Mahomes and he would be thrown in way too early and fail). On top of that, I'm not sure we have the competent coaching staff to coach up a raw QB like Mahomes (or any of the QBs taken in the first). Chiefs got a good deal for the future and I think we got a good deal too.
  11. He was left uncovered completely on two TDs in the first championship and left uncovered again this past championship for a TD. Blown coverages. Besides that he was mediocre. I don't count being left uncovered as something that will translate to the NFL.
  12. I like all names but Howard. Howard will be a bust. You heard it here first. But seriously, you gotta wonder why Howard produced so little at Bama besides being wide open in both championship games. I really like Adams and Reddick. Personally, I'm glad QB isn't on that list. I would take a QB in the second
  13. I would be pretty crushed. It would essentially be the same scanario as drafting EJ. We have so many big needs (S, CB, WR) that can and should be addressed in the first. Plus I'm not big on any of the QBs in the first round. Second round has better value so I could live with that
  14. Hooker can't tackle. We need players who are well rounded. Not just good at one thing. He would get smoked by Gronk or any NFL RB running at him
  15. I really like like Adams. Good in the box safety and leader. But Hooker is an awful tackler.....god awful. He is a liability and as the last line of defense Hooker can't be counted on to tackle. I'll give it to him, he's great in coverage and has great hands, but avoids contact and awful tackler. I think he's overvalued in the draft
  16. I'm just wondering why if OJ Howard is such a freak and mismatch, why didn't he have better college production. He was pretty average in terms of production in college. i think he will be a very marginal TE
  17. Cook is a bum. Hes a low effort player, or he's stupid and doesn't know how to use his talent. Because he's had minimal production his entire career
  18. His regression this past season was also due to having an awful Oline. He lost Fahn cooper and Tunsil to the NFL. Plus a starting guard graduated his junior year. That's the main reason he regressed
  19. I like Kelly a lot. I'm a big Ole Miss fan so I'm biased. I wouldn't mind the Bills grabbing him in the late 4th or 5th. I think he will play with a similar mentality or swagger like Fitz with a arm like Cutler. I just seeing him as a guy who keeps us in games but ultimately makes a Fitzmagic turnover to finish us
  20. Keep in mind. Atlanta is the Falcons fanbase. Not Georgia. People in Georgia and surrounding states care more about the SEC than the falcons. They aren't willing to spend two grand on an NFL ticket. Falcons fanbase is definitely small and not a very passionate one in comparison to others
  21. So you're saying most of Boston was at the game therefor the tv market was much smaller during the SB? That makes sense
  22. I think people are forgetting how deflating Devonta Freeman's missed blocking assignment was. That was the turning point. If he blocks his man there, worst case, Atlanta doesn't convert then punts it down to the NE 30. NE has to drive 70 yards instead of 25 yards which would eat up a lot more time. That 25 yard drive by NE ate up 2:28 minutes when there was 8:31 to start the drive. If they have to drive 70 yards instead, I think it's fair to assume that drive would eat up about 4 minutes at least. I would think Atlanta would get a couple first downs without scoring to kill the clock I do thing Matty Melts sack was atrocious. But that Freeman no-block I think finished the Falcons
  23. I'd much rather have greatest comeback in super bowl history than NFL history. This was a bigger game than the Bills oilers game
