  1. We now know exactly how far is too far for Elon. A photo of beautiful intact ear.
  2. I thought it was clever. Not edgy. But clever.
  3. And guess what? The frickin NEW YORK TIMES made your point for you too.
  4. And hence the cynical Trump "half a loaf is worse than none" position.
  5. Agreed. But really - check out the Zeke Faux book. I learned a lot. He's more of crypto skeptic than I am. Was a good audio book to listen to while biking - only 9 hours or so.
  6. If left alone, not supported by the mother, it will die. Same here. In pre-modern times the common law set it at "quickening," usually considered the time at which the mother could feel the fetus move, or something on the order of 3 months. Sometimes there is a certain wisdom in the old ways of thinking.
  7. I really can't recommend Zeke Faux's book on SBF and crypto enough. https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/711959/number-go-up-by-zeke-faux/ I'm not a crypto hater, in that I do think there's a valuable concept underlying the creation of the "better" cryptocurrencies. But the wild, wild west of crypto will not end pretty. Just the SBF-Ellison network of incestuous companies and the lack of any normal bookkeeping is bad enough.
  8. Tether. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2021-10-07/crypto-mystery-where-s-the-69-billion-backing-the-stablecoin-tether
  9. Relax. It's not hurting you. It's not hurting "the children." If I'm on the Olympic Committee, I'm vetoing 95% of the entertainment I saw last night (and I did sit through it, but fast forwarding the recorded afternoon file) on the basis of "it's stupid" or "it's boring" or both. (Celine Dion and that girl with the flaming piano can stay, the latter on the basis of it's so stupid it's good.) So don't watch. Our kids watch far worse every day. Maybe they shouldn't; they do. Plus .. Hey, if I hadn't seen all that David Bowie stuff in my formative years I may have never developed my edgy sense of humor. Too bad your mom duct taped the old TV dial in your house to Hee Haw.
  10. https://www.triplepundit.com/story/2021/government-office-tesla/720441
  11. I see that his Project 2025 friends (Disclaimer: Trump has never, ever, ever heard of this!) include a recommendation to outlaw porn. Let's see how that one goes. Does it include soft core Melania porn? Or just Stormy Daniels style?
  12. I sometimes wonder where these old scolds have been living the last, oh, 50 years. I remember seeing David Bowie go all out on the costumes when I was a kid. He was every bit as outrageous as what we saw yesterday. More so, because it was actually new back then.
  13. Translation: he realized that Crypto boosters were ready to give him a metric sh!t-ton of money if he started boosting them. Really, what has happened in the last 5 years since that tweet that would cause an uber-crypto skeptic to start singing its praises? I mean, other than the revelation that SBF exploited huge holes in the whole unregulated crypto concept to enrich himself?
  14. You mean like the one Sam Bankman-Fried created?
  15. Exactly. It was more silly and ridiculous (and boring) than offensive. I saw that Gay Papa Smurf was actually supposed to be Dionysus, God of the Vine. Because, you know, France = Wine. Whatever.
  16. How very Bevis and Butthead of you. I’m sure the former JD Hill Fan is upset.
  17. Oh, that paragon of virtue, attender of many drug-fueled parties, father of roughly a dozen kids, most out of wedlock, is deeply offended that his deeply held Christian life is being poked fun at!
  18. Cue. As in “this is my cue to step in to correct your mistake.” No. But I am sending him a complimentary pair of Truck Nutz
  19. JD Vance was a decent, caring, dare I say Christian man until his dreams of grandeur caused him to emulate Trump. This is what being power mad does to you. Sad. From some of the texts his now-trans friend shared with the NYT: When his book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” was published in 2016, JD Vance sent an email apologizing to a close friend from his Yale Law School days. The friend identified as transgender, but Mr. Vance referred to them in the book as a lesbian. “Hey Sofes, here’s an excerpt from my book,” Mr. Vance wrote to his friend, Sofia Nelson. “I send this to you not just to brag, but because I’m sure if you read it you’ll notice reference to ‘an extremely progressive lesbian.’” “I recognize now that this may not accurately reflect how you think of yourself, and for that I am really sorry,” he wrote. “I hope you’re not offended, but if you are, I’m sorry! Love you, JD.”
  20. I'm glad they captured the closeup of Gay Papa Smurf before the takedown. Sacrilege! What will they think of next, George Jetson humping a Marcel Breuer chair?
