Princeton with a 4% acceptance rate. Mizzou at 76%. Love the Cinderella stories.

Me too! Princeton totally owned Missouri on the boards. Caden Pierce with 16 rebounds.

but I hear you. BAD elbow injury from what I heard in camp. Broken ribs. Didn’t he have meniscal tear too.

there’s a diff bw voted for all pro and truly being all pro (Ed reed , rod woodson) elite athletes / ball hawks. Poyer has outperformed by leaps and miles and is a diamond in the rough hit signing. But I never thought of him as dominant player at his posing. He and Hyde are better tandem than individuals

Ok, he's not a dominant player, nor are we paying him as one. His current aav is 26th highest among safeties.

Ahh nice thanks. Literally hadn’t seen it

Think it’s a fair deal for both sides. Poyer never was gonna get 11-12 (maybe after his all pro year on reputation only). But the injuries this year and he just looks less athletic to me / age never gonna get that.

Poyer was playing at an All-Pro level again through the first 4 weeks until he was injured on his gw int against the Ravens. Had 4 ints to that point, but he never was the same after that injury and didn't get another one the rest of the year. His 4 ints were still T-11th in the league this year.

oh I’m not surprised. This regime falls in love with their “process” guys too much.

This was the year to shed old vets and $. Get more picks over the next two years for a legit run. Kc has 12! 12! Picks.

I tend to agree. I don't think TE's should be drafted in the first round.

    Kelce: 3rd rounder

    Gronk: 2nd rounder

    Kittle: 5th rounder

    Andrews: 3rd rounder

    Waller: 6th rounder

And there are really no other TE's worth mentioning. Do not pay more than a 2nd round pick on a TE.

This list is a bit misleading. There's reasons why Gronk and Kelce weren't 1st round picks and it wasn't because of their talent at TE. Gronk fell to the 2nd because of concerns of his back surgery in college. Kelce was a QB at the beginning of his college career and was suspended for a year for violating team rules after his freshman season for failing a drug test(Marijuana). Upon his return Brian Kelly left as HC and new HC Butch Davis converted him to TE.

Bringing back the same defense - with more tread on the tires, without Miller and Edmunds, and relying on vets to overcome injury - is concerning.

They still need a replacement MLB and another pass rusher opposite Rousseau. Perhaps there’s hope for an actual upgrade therein…

Why no Miller? He's already stated that he's going to be returning in August. That is the doctor's return date and he said he hopes to beat that by a month or 2. Either way he's back during training camp/preseason.

When Edmunds said he was going to test the market I thought more and more that Poyer would be back. And I love it! As far as the vocal/emotional/heart and soul leader of not just the defense but the entire team, Poyer is more important than Edmunds.

And let's remember that he’s just 1 year removed from an All-Pro season. He hasn't been an injury prone player over his career... just last year.

    23 & 21 back at it!!!

Anyone know the contract details? OP could you post them on page 1?

Contract info has not been released yet.

Wow, it's really fun seeing Bills fans are just as crazy as Jets fans. Let me ask you this - who would you rather have as your QB playing in a big game in the playoffs - Aaron Rodgers or Josh Allen? Allen is way more prone to mistakes and isn't as good of a passer or as smart, but a better runner obviously. Allen was seeing ghosts against the Jets if you watched both games last year - if we had competent QB play in the second game the Jets could easily have won both. Allen would much rather play the Chiefs or Bengals D than the Jets D. Rodgers played with a broken thumb for most of last year with no #1 receiver and is one year removed from MVP. Jets have a ton of weapons now with a stingy D. Bills seem to be losing ground to most people outside of the organization and it's fans. BTW, the Jets have a ton of talent on their Oline - their top 5 lineman were on injured reserve last year. That won't happen again. They most likely will have 3 #1 picks starting on the line next season. This team is primed to win the next two years - loads of young talent. BTW, both teams have leverage because GB will crush their cap if they keep Arod, he will make it miserable for them, and they would lose draft compensation if they wait. They are moving on from Rodgers and the Jets are the only team willing to take the huge contract. I think they give up a #2 this year and a conditional 3rd or 2nd if he plays next year. He's older and expensive. Packers are just as desperate as the Jets but don't seem to be as smart as Joe Douglas but we'll see. It will be fun to see what happens. I hope the teams stay healthy.

The best thing you can do is ignore him. Lord knows I've gone after him, but he just keeps coming back with the same old crap. Just ignore him and he will dry up like a glass of water in the dessert.

I dont think Poyer is as good as some here think.

BUT Poyer and Hyde together are tops in the league  here is to having them both healthy all year in 2023

Maybe, maybe not, but he was playing lights out until he got injured in week 4 against the Ravens on his game saving int. He had only played 3 games up to that point and already had 4 ints. Didn't get another int the rest of the year and still finished T-11th in the league.

That secondary is mediocre. Might be okay in the regular season, but I recall the Vikings, Chiefs, Lions, Bengals didn't have any problems moving the ball against it.

You continue to show everyone just how little you know about this game.

Vikings - No Hyde, Poyer or White. That's 3 former All-Pros missing. Plus Elam was out and Edmunds got hurt in the 1st half and didn't return.

Chiefs - No Hyde or White and Poyer was so injured he couldn't fly with the team and had to drive there.

Lions - White's first game back only played 15 snaps. No Hyde or Edmunds and Von Miller tears his ACL in the 2nd quarter.

Bengals- No Hyde or Miller. FS #2 Hamlin - out, FS #3 - Marlowe injured, does not return, onto FS #4. Also no DaQuan Jones. Both Poyer & White played, but severely limited due to injury.

Remind me again which team held KC to it's 2nd lowest point total out of their 20 games they played this year and their lowest home point total of the year. Since 10/6/19 KC has been held to 20 points or fewer at home only twice.....both those games were against the Bills.

What is really interesting to me. Both Bills signings came out of nowhere. No rumors no leaks nothing before it happened. There are still a lot of players out there so I think people need to relax a bit. The restructures were not for Harty and McGovern only when you look at their cap hits.

additionally this is the first year since I can remember bills went this late into the offseason without having to cut someone for space (there are a number of players that can fit this bill too).

still very very early. And to date Bills STILL Favored to win the AFCE

Just like last year when they signed Von out of nowhere. No one saw that coming. Ian Rapoport talked about it on the Pat Mcafee show right after the signing that there was a mystery team that no one knew of. At the 2:23 mark is where he talks about it.

So where is the line between 'got better' and 'significantly improved'?

To me it's adding playmakers and better coaching, to declare a team significantly improved, and in my judgement, Miami has done that so far.  If Ramsey makes a couple plays that the guy he's replacing didn't, Miami goes 2-1 against the Bills last year and we never get a chance to get smoked by Cincy.  Or, if Fangio's D plays 10% better, and they win a couple more games in season.  Don't fool yourself, they are going to be better.

How hard they played us has significant bearing on this topic because how much better does Miami need to be to sweep us?  2 losses to the Bills by a total of 6 points isn't exactly domination by us, with net Buffalo +4 points separating us out of 166 points scored in three games.

You typed all this for what reason? They still are not significantly better than they were at the end of the season. Games against Buffalo or any other team for that matter, last season still have no bearing on your original statement, that is a fact.

Does it improve their chances next year, maybe, but we still have the rest of FA and the draft to get through before that question can be answered. The Dolphins only have a 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th for draft picks this year.
