They don’t. Where is it more lucrative to be a state employee? South Carolina or New York? Who gets more federal money per resident? Per capita. A state like NY or SC? It’s not the red states fault they have smaller, better budgets then blue state dumps. Every state gets federal money - it’s all very close as far as federal money as a percentage of their budget in all states. It’s a stupid pointless argument to make. Unless you want to work for a state like California or New Jersey where that becomes a fast track to wealth. You can then argue that living in a blue state is more lucrative if you get a cushy state job. Own a small business? You’ll be moving to Florida.
