3-4 We're spinning our wheels playing a weak Dline - with potential sure. But outside of Oliver and outside of playing against awful QBs, I don't see the point Especially playing QBs as mobile as they are now I know I get it - teams go multiple. But I think the 3-4 teams that's easy to see. We have 3 useless hands on the ground every play plus Oliver who isn't that great of a pass rusher. And for some reason we had 4 hands on the ground with 13 seconds left last night when it should have been 2 at most. A 3-4 scheme thats an automatic

Beat KC? Beat Hill and Kelce, 41 Catches, 536 YDS, 4 TD's

The Way Too Early Offseason Armchair GM Thread
Big Blitz replied to Ball'n's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not irrelevant. We just suck at the worst spot possible on D. You need a front 4 that can get home. The 49ers, Rams, and Chiefs can all get home with their front. My God the Bengals played the seeding perfectly. But good luck in KC fellas. Jones is going to have 5 sacks and Mahomes is not gonna Tannehill. -

They are OVERRATED Is hot garbage a bit much? Meh. Jonathan Taylor just scored again.... Hey there goes Kelce uncovered down the seam again.......... Look at Edmonds miss another tackle....... Ryan Tannehill completes another throw to AJ Brown - incredible poise by the savvy veteran!.... I love my team. I'll call out the issues when I think there are issues. This defense is a freaking issue. -
Upon further review...was Bass supposed to pop the kick up?
Big Blitz replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Bass doesn't say "that was on me" then it was McD that called for kicking it out. If the play was kick it short Bass would say so. -
Right or wrong. Rational or Irrational. This is where I'm at. I'm not sure McDermott can keep the locker room after this - and I want to be so wrong about that I want to know team leadership went to him and told him we got your back this is on us. Or something. It's going to hang over this regime forever. You can't let what happened happen last night. You just can't. An unprecedented game and an unprecedented loss. Josh Allen should be the talk of the sports world today - he is to an extent but this would have been next level "congratulations Buffalo you officially have the best player on the planet he's about to get his own State Farm deal." That means almost as much as a SB win to this city. That's why we have a freaking "MVP Watch" thread. Just so awful. Awful.

Our defense is the most overrated pile of garbage in the NFL I don't want to see ONE Trevor Semien level QB next year. -
"Dangerous To Assume Omicron Will Be The Last Variant": WHO Chief To do so, countries need to work harder to ensure equitable access to vaccines and treatment, track the virus and its emerging variants, and keep restrictions in place, he warned. "We will need to learn to manage it through a sustained and integrated strategy for acute respiratory diseases," he said, emphasizing it was "dangerous to assume that Omicron will be the last variant, or that this is the end game." "On the contrary," he said, "globally the conditions are ideal for more variants to emerge." "The potential for a more transmissible, more deadly variant remains very real." https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/world-can-end-covid-emergency-this-year-who-chief-2726921

How many chances does McDermott have left?
Big Blitz replied to Igotbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He might have lost half the locker room last night. To not believe that you're delusional. That's how catastrophic this was. -
Yep. Usually you win with elite QBs yes that is correct thank you. Also his overall body of work including this year....yep.

Who this team has passed on in the draft the last 3 years and what they ended up with instead - if not for Allen we would be 4-13 and looking at another house cleaning. Since 2019: Knox Taron Johnson Wyatt Teller Singletary Moss Ford Harry Oliver AJ Brown Rousseau Basham for some reason Gabe Davis Davis Knox and Brown are long term most promising with Oliver being close. And overall the offense will be elite as long as 17 is here. But running back - love motor but can't rely on him being #1. He makes the team he can be a 1B but need a game changer there that scares defenses. And just not enough on "freaks" on defense. White Hyde Poyer and Milano are the defense. Nothing else is remotely special. We passed on Humphrey. Who was excellent yesterday - franchise center for a franchise QB. But at least we got Boogie Basham. Honeymoon period is over for the front office. You can build an elite defense quick. It's stunning how badly they are botching this Dline.

....Julio’s salary for 2022 was set to be $11.5 million. When combined with the prorated bonus amount of $7.75 million, he was originally going to account for $19.2 million in cap space for the 2022 season. The Falcons no longer have to pay his salary, but the remaining two years of his prorated bonus have to be accounted for in 2022. This means he will have a dead money hit of $15.5 million (7.75 for 2022, 7.75 for 2023 - the last year of the contract extension). That’s a painful dead money hit, but the team will ultimately save about $3.7 million in cap space due to not paying his salary (original 19.2 million cap hit - 15.5 million dead money). It’s not a huge savings, but the team will need it. As it stands right now, they have 39 players under contract for the 2022 season and will have about $15 million in cap space (assuming the NFL lives up to the projected salary cap ceiling of $208 million). https://www.thefalcoholic.com/2021/6/9/22524180/falcons-julio-jones-trade-titans-nfl-salary-cap-2021-2022

It depends. The Julio Jones trade had to happen when it did or else the Falcons were on the hook for like 25 million. Let me check this...

Depends on what you mean by "send a message." Every time somebody is fired it's sending a message. A Dungy Firing A Joe Judge Firing A Brian Flores Firing A Anthony Lynn Firing What's the difference? -
How many DC head coaches not named Belichick have won the SB since 2000? Tomlin? Carroll? Those 2 actually had historic defenses. We have had historic performances vs Davis Mills.

How many chances does McDermott have left?
Big Blitz replied to Igotbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's more then this. We have TOO MANY HOLES we have had 4 plus Years to fill - especially on both lines. Picking 2 DEs back to back is so embarrassing looking back now. I won't make a big deal that we could have just drafted Justin Jefferson - Beane is perfect and Diggs was the only option. Don't question it. It's sacrilegious around here. There are more misses then hits now. Losses and setbacks happened this year that should not have. Josh Allen. This whole dam team is Josh Allen. -

All the head coaches left now and every year are OCs by trade. BB doesn't count bc he had Brady and the same OC for 15 years Carry on thinking McD is getting us a SB. -
Which is navigated by the director of player personnel And........he gone. I do think that was Schoen's best skill set and contribution to the build here.
