I would be thrilled if we got Maclin, no excuses for Tyrod if Watkins and Maclin play all 16 games
This is 100% correct. I think Tyrod deserves another year. After this year, I think the determination can be made a little easier.
-
Are people worried that a guy like Maclin might make Tyrod look better? This is a serious question.
I scratch my head at the team trying to accumulate talent (at the right price) regardless of what way folks are on the TT issue.......he might not even be the qb the year after next but someone actually suggests we dont improve the team at other positions if the opportunity presents?
I really believe they are.
-
I'm probably going to be wrong about this, but I've got a feeling this kid is going to be our guy for the next 10 years. It'll start when Tyrod goes down sometime this season for a week or two.
-
You don't trade Watkins. He's an elite talent with a bit of an injury spell lately. He'll work it out and be the next Andre for us. If you can get a side kick for him in Maclin, you absolutely do it.

Might be the dumbest !@#$ing comment I ever read on this board...Yeah, Chris Kelsay only had 30 sacks, five fumble recoveries, two safeties, and four interceptions as a DE. Meanwhile Dareus was our team leader that allowed Ajayi to rush for 30,000 yards on two separate occassions. The skin color of players have nothing to do with this...give me a team of Kyle Williams and Lorenzo Alexanders and I'm happy.
Completely agree.

Not sure how Tyrod would do in that type of offense to be perfectly honest. Not saying he'd do bad ( or good )...just not sure.
-
I just hope this new "all star" front office doesn't build a team full of Chris Kelsey's. At some point actual talent is needed, not just a bunch of "lunch pail"/"high motor" slow lighter skinned guys.
I think you can keep the racism stuff to yourself.
If I've read those salary numbers, he becomes way easier to trade / cut after the season. Makes a lot of sense they are going this route with him. Huge fan of his, but its hard to argue that the time to buckle down for him is now.
-
We'll see. If he does start over Taylor, that might not be a good thing.
-
To be completely honest, I believe it should be the coach who makes the player decisions. Let the GM negotiate the contracts and bring trade proposals up to the coach, but the coach should have final say in who gets signed, released or traded.
Just my opinion.

Anquan Boldin would be an amazing signing.
-
I've not seen any negativity towards the selection. You're making stuff up in order to start a new thread.
-
We will regret not taking Watson, but since that ship has sailed I'd like to see some help at the LB spot myself. At this point, I truly do hope we can get Chad Kelly in the 3rd but something tells me he won't be there.
-
Watson or you trade back for multiple extra picks.
-
B.
The pick should be Watson and if we do not take him it will be a major regret for years to come. The guy is a winner with a good head on his shoulders. Plain and simple.
-
If he'd come here, that'd be great. I can see him, along with Adrian Peterson, signing with a team like New England for dirt cheap in order to get a ring before it is time to call it quits, however.
-
Unless I'm getting Watson out of Clemson, I'm trading down to get more picks this year.
-
First a Spud and now a Hammer?
What on earth is happening to this place?
An influx of awesomeness, basically.

According to Bills fans and John Murphy, NEXT YEAR is always a better QB class if you've noticed...
It's been that way as long as I can remember:
Whatever year it is: This isn't a good QB class at all... NEXT YEAR is the year to take one!
The next year: This year's class is not great... no 1st rounders... NEXT YEAR is the year!
Rinse and repeat.
I agree that this always seems to be the case. You've got to take a shot here and there.
-
I didn't find anything wrong with the topic of this thread. At worst, its a neat thing to think about. Obviously, it'll likely never happen but that's not really the point is it?
-
He will sign with the Pats in order to get that ring.
-
The question was about talent, not performance. That makes a big difference in hypothetical rankings.
-
I'll admit ( knowing full well I'll get blasted for it ), I'm a Jay Cutler fan. I would not be upset to see him in Buffalo. That being said, I think he ends up in Denver or Houston...whichever loses out on Tony Romo ( if you can call it that ).
-
McCoy, Dareus, Incognito, Watkins (when healthy), DiMarco
-
In order of preference.
1. Backup: Colin Kaepernick | 3rd String: C. Jones
2. Backup: Fitzpatrick | 3rd String: C. Jones
3. Backup: C. Jones | 3rd String: Chad Kelly
Jeremy Maclin (Agrees to 2 year deal with Ravens)
