  6. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2025/06/23/exclusive-israel-intelligence-iran-call-audio/ In the hours after Israel launched its first wave of strikes against Iran on June 13, killing top military leaders and nuclear scientists, Israeli intelligence operatives launched a covert campaign to intimidate senior officials with the apparent aim of dividing and destabilizing Tehran’s theocratic regime, according to three people familiar with the operation. People working for Israel’s security services who speak Persian, Iran’s primary language, called senior Iranian officials on their cellphones and warned them that they, too, would die unless they ceased supporting the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, according to the three people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss clandestine operations. One of them estimated that more than 20 Iranians in positions of power were contacted. The Washington Post obtained an audio recording and transcript of one such call, which took place the same day, June 13, that Israel began its bombardment of Iran. “I can advise you now, you have 12 hours to escape with your wife and child. Otherwise, you’re on our list right now,” an Israeli intelligence operative told a senior Iranian general close to the country’s rulers, according to the audio recording. The operative then suggested that Israel could train weapons on the general and his family at any moment. “We’re closer to you than your own neck vein. Put this in your head. May God protect you,” he said. The general, a member of Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was told he had 12 hours to make a video disassociating himself from the Iranian government. “How should I send it to you?” the general replies. “I will send you a Telegram ID,” the operative says, referring to the Telegram messaging app. “Send it.” It is unclear if such a video was made or sent. The general is believed to be still alive and in Iran, said one of the people familiar with the operation. But a primary goal of the operation was to deter and confuse the Tehran leadership, a second person said. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office did not reply to a request for comment.

  11. LOL, not sure, but I saw Iron Maiden in august '83 at the Aud and Fastway opened for them. It actually turned into a really famous (infamous) concert. https://stason.org/TULARC/music-bands/iron-maiden/30-The-Concert-In-Buffalo-The-Lawsuit-Iron-Maiden.html
  12. Two tweets on Hormuz, saying different things
  13. If this gets messier Trump, for his own good, should ask Congress for at least authorization for military activity. If he goes it alone, this potential mess will be all his. Iran does have the potential to put the squeeze on him by threatening the flow of oil, if they are smart enough to push that button Trump's life gets way more uncomfortable
  14. Well, he's the former Russian president, so... Is he any less truthful than Trump?
  15. Obama said he wanted to use censorship? Just stop, I feel guilty now for picking on you
  16. I suppose the Japanese high command was patting themselves on the back on Dec. 8. What comes next is a mystery.
  17. @Taro T Chickening out! Good move, I was looking forward to chopping you up! 🤣
  18. Like with Iraq? Oh! Iran can make a big noise if they simply drive up oil prices and Trump has to go in deeper. Hopefully they just go quietly Stay tuned!
  19. We might be at war. If Iran just has a little face saving attack and then goes quietly then this kind of blows over. On the other hand, if Iran attacks oil tankers in the gulf, drops missiles down on one or more of our bases killing American service members, then it gets complicated. Kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. Trump has made it clear regime change is not in the cards, so the Mullahs have nothing to worry about on that front. How do they percieve that? As a free pass to attack, or as a relief they are safe and draw back to regroup. We are in a holding pattern here... ------ 🤷‍♂️ President Trump asserted that Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facilities were “completely and totally obliterated” by American strikes. But this month, Iran claimed that it had another enrichment site “in a secure and invulnerable location,” with installation of centrifuges to begin immediately. The announcement, by the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, came on June 12 — immediately after Iran was censured by the International Atomic Energy Agency’s board of governors for failing to meet its obligations for transparency under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. “The new site is fully constructed and located in a secure, invulnerable location,” Mr. Eslami said. “As soon as centrifuge installation and setup are complete, enrichment will begin.” His announcement was a surprise, and so far there has been no confirmation of his claim nor any official indication of where any new site would be. Western intelligence agencies have not assessed the veracity of the claim, and there was little public reaction to his assertion from the International Atomic Energy Agency or foreign governments. The site has been under construction for several years, and Iran has not given the agency access to it. “They are telling us, ‘It’s none of your business,’” the agency’s head, Rafael M. Grossi, told reporters in April. Presumably this new site, which would have been Iran’s third, is also underground, like the Fordo and Natanz sites bombed overnight. But it is not clear whether any centrifuges have already been installed there, or even if it is as ready as Mr. Eslami said it was. David Albright, of the Institute for Science and International Security, has written that the new site is likely south of Natanz, under Kuh-e Kolang Gaz La, a mountain nearly a mile above sea level — and which is nearly a half-mile taller than Fordo mountain. The site appears to be meant for large-scale centrifuge installation, Mr. Albright said. If operational with the newest centrifuges, Mr. Albright judged that Iran could produce enough highly enriched uranium for 19 nuclear weapons within three months. Iran also announced then, as part of its response, that it would replace older centrifuges at Fordo with the most modern type, but again, it is not clear whether it had done so before the bombing. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06/22/world/israel-iran-us-trump#does-iran-have-another-secret-enrichment-site-as-it-claims
  20. The most serious thing Iran could do would be to try and obstruct passage through the straights of Hormuz. But that also hurts them. Would love to hear their discussions on how or if to retaliate. The US has stated regime change is not something on the table, so that might actually embolden the mullahs to do something. https://www.newsweek.com/iran-threat-shut-strait-hormuz-2088018 Iran has warned that it could shut the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical oil transit chokepoints, in retaliation for U.S. involvement in its conflict with Israel. "If the United States officially and operationally enters the war in support of the Zionists (Israel), it is the legitimate right of Iran in view of pressuring the U.S. and Western countries to disrupt their oil trade's ease of transit," Ali Yazdikhah, a senior Iranian lawmaker, was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency on Thursday. "Iran has numerous options to respond to its enemies," Behnam Saeedi, a member of the parliament's National Security Committee presidium was quoted as saying. "Closing the Strait of Hormuz is one of the potential options." The officials spoke amid heightened tensions as President Donald Trump is reported to be inching closer to ordering military strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.
  21. There is also the fact that the stealth capabilities, decoys and electronic suppression simply blinded them. Watching this its hard not to get the impression we are sending message to China, we are still the best military. At least for now
