Is Sarah Palin covering for her 16yr old daughter?
buckeyemike replied to JK2000's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
One other point: In about 20-25 years, we're going to have issues about female politicians who may or may not have been in the Girls Gone Wild videos. You think it's bad now? Wait until about 2030 or so. -
Is Sarah Palin covering for her 16yr old daughter?
buckeyemike replied to JK2000's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Parents were 24 years old each (born in 1964) when they married. Track was born in 1989, but I do not have an exact birthdate. I've heard two, one is April 20, the other is September 11. Again, this is relevant to Ms. Palin's fitness to serve how? If she was indeed pregnant when she got married, she certainly wasn't the first. Nor do I believe that would disqualify her for serving as VP. I had a college roommate get married about the same time as the Palins, and they kept shifting the date around for some weird reason. Eight months later, we found out why. He was seven pounds, eight ounces. The parents were divorced within two years. At least the Palins' marriage has lasted. -

I will respectfully disagree. It is said that McCain did know that Bristol was pregnant, according to Reuters. Hmmm...I thought the libs were all about a young girl's privacy and her "choice". Choice to keep the baby, give it up for adoption, or to terminate. The libs seem to want sexual freedom for teenage girls here more than anything else. Except when the mother of the girl is a conservative VP candidate that stands to energize the GOP campaign. Reason #114,707 why the hardcore liberals are such friggin' hypocrites. -

This was far more likely than Trig being Bristol's. Again, whose business is this other than the family's? It certainly should not affect Sarah Palin's status as the VP nominee. At least Bristol didn't get an abortion. So what happens here? Sarah Palin becomes the world's hottest grandmother in a few months. Big friggin' deal. -

One other thing I'd like to note, and then I'll drop this subject like a hot potato. Bristol had a "slight roundness" to her in the photo from 2006 that the Daily Kossacks thought was from February of this year. I remember back in the 80s that several girls I went to high school with had the same type of roundness in their figures. I saw these same girls last October at my 20 year reunion...some of them had lost the "baby fat" and looked downright hot. One in particular had shed at least 20 pounds. And these women are now 38-39 years old. None of them were ever pregnant in high school, because they kept pretty much the same figures all the way through until graduation. -

I don't know if this photo has been posted, but it's got some over at the Huffington Post in a tizzy. This photo is probably from around 1984 or 1985. I say, it's a t-shirt. If you were a young person in the 80s, you probably had your share of silly t-shirts. But the libs are trying to make that into some sort of an issue, since Governor Palin's a former beauty queen and all. Keep it coming, left-wing bloggers. You're only making yourselves look sillier. It ain't an issue, it's a t-shirt. As Derrick Coleman once said, whoop-de-damn-doo. -
I have seen it online, but I can't find the link right now. Moore is largely () irrelevant at this point anyway...most Americans have figured out what an amazing self-promoting gasbag that guy is. And, regardless of how you felt about Charlton Heston's beliefs, there's gotta be a special place in hell for Moore considering the way he treated Heston when the latter was obviously suffering from Alzheimer's in "Bowling for Columbine".

This is correct. BTW, we now have mothers giving birth in their 60s, so it is certainly not unusual for a 43 year old woman to have a fifth child. The odds of having a Downs child go way up past 40 or 41. Also, my mother was born when my grandmother was 43 (Mom is the youngest of eight). That was very unusual in the year she was born, 1935. It's much safer now for a woman to have healthy children well into her 40s and even past 50, but the Downs risk is still there. Heck, Kim's nearing 40 and we're discussing children. We currently have none. -
Michael Moore is a big blowhard. He is what he is...and from what I understand, he has championed the cause of union workers while treating people who work for him like gum on the bottom of his shoe. I suppose that you can get away with just about anything as long as you have the right politics...and it ain't Republican.

I don't believe a single word of this nonsense. How do we know that the pictures we saw of Bristol weren't Photoshopped? I wouldn't put it past anyone to spread vicious gossip. In addition, this is possibly a libelous action by Daily Kos, but if I were in the Palin family's shoes, I'd simply ignore it. Daily Kos is not the New York Times. It's not even the Weekly World News. -
Wow Kelly, according to this theory, I cannot be Vice President. I have 14 years experience as a lawyer and 11 years of running a small business. That's my experience. I'm not running for office (yet), but if I were, considering my devout Christian beliefs, how would I fare?

Cajun Bills Backer, glad you got out of Gustav's path. Stay safe, everyone who may be in Louisiana or Eastern Texas.

As a Channel 2 sports anchor in Anchorage. Three things I'd like to point out here: 1) She was a hottie back then, too. A late 80s haircut, but a hottie nonetheless. 2) It must be Alaska. The first story was on the Iditarod. 3) The name of the YouTube poster is "barackobamaworld". I have no idea what that means, just wanted to point that out.

I wonder how is Mr. Stein arrogant? My point with my post is that those who may disagree with evolutionary teaching are automatically branded as religious kooks and morons because they dare speak against these things. Plus, those people who believe in creationism are seen as not being fit to hold government or other important office because, well, they're idiots for not believing what Darwin taught. No matter what the office may be, including VP. I don't think the office of Vice President requires a Darwin litmus test. The current President may believe in intelligent design, but his belief in intelligent design is not what made his presidency a failure. Getting us into a quagmire of a war and the massive problems handling the aftermath of Katrina are what killed the Bush presidency. Did creationism have anything to do with those things? No. Not at all.
-
So, Sarah Palin believes in creationism and intelligent design, huh? Big deal. Scientific issues are really important for a VP candidate, after all. By the way, Ben Stein believes in creationism too. I don't think there is a single damn person on this board who is as smart as Mr. Stein is, so I challenge the Darwinist mensas on this board to call Ben Stein a moron. I've actually had the privilege of meeting him after he gave a speech a few years ago. I think Mr. Stein is every bit as intelligent as he seems.

Yep, that's the William G. Mather, which is docked at North Coast Harbor, about a six-iron from Browns Stadium. It's a museum now, Lori. You can tour it the next time you're in Cleveland. -

It is slightly different...has comments from fans who were nearby. Either that, or I linked on the wrong video.
-
Did you read some of the new comments on that site? One referred to her as "VCPILF" and another as a "Trophy" Candidate. It also sounds like her ex brother-in-law is a real scumbag. And I didn't find her voice to be grating, either.
-
I agree. Very good speech. I can see why the people of Alaska like her.
-
BTW, Alaska Darin is not online right now to tell us about Sarah Palin, but I expect he soon will be. I figure he'll be excited. I did a search of her name on this site...the oldest entry is about two weeks old. Don't forget that most people in Alaska are Republicans. It takes someone who can handle cold weather, a bit of self-reliance, and even hardship to live on The Last Frontier.
