  1. At the opposite end of the won/loss spectrum, how do you think my formerly beloved Cleveland Browns will do this year? The fan base here in Cleveland seems a bit apathetic, but since they've had one winning season in the six years the team has been back, it's a wonder they care at all. Mike
  2. Melissa, I see the Eagles falling short to the Falcons this year. T.O. will show up at camp, and of course he has game, but he blew all the goodwill he had by criticizing Donovan, saying "I'm not the one who got tired at the end of the Super Bowl". It has been rumored that T.O and McNabb barely speak now, so they have to bury the hatchet. T.O. IS a jerk. Philly had to know they were getting someone who would turn back into a malcontent at the first sign of disrespect. He's got a really good situation in Philly. Terrell should thank God he's not in San Fran anymore. Mike P.S. I know who your favorite team is, but I won't tell anyone.
  3. And who would play Bo, Luke, Coy, and Vance, or whatever their names were? Uncle Jesse = Martin Sheen Mike
  4. PIZ is 100% correct. I was a big fan of the Dukes TV show as a kid. Like I said before in an earlier post about "The A-Team", I was a geeky teenager who watched a LOT of bad TV. I wanted a General Lee. And there was someone in my town who actually had one (I remember seeing it on the streets several times...never found out if the doors were welded shut or not). And most of all, I was in love with Daisy. Mike
  5. Not like the TV show, apparently. Cooter, who by the way is a former Congressman (!), says that the script is laden with profanity and sexual situations. He has an argument about the profanity (I never heard one curse word on the TV show in the years it ran, and I watched almost every episode), but he's gotta be kidding about the suggestiveness. Otherwise, why did Daisy run around in those short shorts for years? There's a reason why they were called "Daisy Dukes". BTW, if you've seen Catherine Bach in recent years, she's still very pretty at age 51, but the days of fitting into those shorts are a distant memory. At least she's still got some curves. Mike
  6. We made a big deal about it (the "Celebration of Champions" at the Ralph and the retro uniform unveiling), but I never found out if the NFL Network aired the special, or when they are going to do so. Has anyone heard anything further? Mike
  7. Unbelievable. I first heard this nearly TWO years ago, and all the mensas on this board are trying to make hay of it now. Too little, too late, boys. Mike
  8. From your favorite Bruins fan. Mike
  9. I will guess Atlanta, using the LeBron James theory of picking up a struggling franchise. Although I hope that my team (the Bruins) gets him, because they might well be the favorites in the East with Crosby and Thornton together. Mike
  10. And just how in the world is THAT possible? Mike
  11. Why is LABillzfan so interested in mail-order Internet brides? Mike
  12. What's the fastest animal on Earth? Mike
  13. Ouch. I feel for you. But there's no doubt in my mind that your beau is in serious need of help. If he has the shakes in the AM and always has a drink in his hand, he's drinking far too much. And combined with the medication he's taking, that is a dangerous combination. Mike
  14. Much too easy. Mike
  15. Ick. Mike
  16. I didn't even know Trendi was here, but I would not have PM'ed her. I prefer talking on the board. She certainly doesn't need me hitting on her. I'm married anyway. Mike
  17. And I apparently missed The Return of Trendichick last week. Dammit. Mike
  18. Somebody earlier mentioned Kim Cattrall, which made me think of "Mannequin". This movie was a surprise hit at the box office in 1987. I remember seeing it three times in a 48 hour period in college. After I saw it the first time, I couldn't get enough of it! "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" is not a lousy movie, so "Mannequin" is my guilty pleasure. BTW, look for a young James Spader in "Mannequin" as the bad guy. Mike
  19. The only football-related news I can think of is Travis getting traded, of course. And I found my really cool new avatar. Mike
  20. RIP Scotty. He did get really big between the series and the movies. And I guess that's a kind way of putting it. Mike
  21. She's nice...Danica's no Lindsay Lohan six months ago, but she's nice. Mike
  22. Darin, I'll give you a point for that. However, LOTR is a classic series of novels many have read. The others were simply made for a visual medium...without the TV shows and movies, we don't have Star Wars books and those awful TekWar novels Shatner wrote. So, it goes both ways, my friend. Mike
  23. Star Trek? Star Wars? Who Cares? Give me the Lord of the Rings Trilogy any day. And this is from a guy with Han Solo as his avatar. Mike
