I noticed in one of the later games, probably NJJ, there was a shot of Clements & Mularkey on the sidelines. TC had a cheatsheet & was communicating into the mic while MM was basically just standing there. Unless MM basically pulls the calls out his butt, tells TC who then relays them to the QB, it sure looks like in that game, TC was primarily responsible for them.

Levy made the comment that Moulds was the best he's ever seen.
Statistically, I believe Wallace Francis is right up there. He only did it for a short period of time, so although I was following the Bills at the time, he didn't leave much of an impression on me.
OJ did it the beginning of his career. I never saw him do that (a few years b4 my time), but based on seeing him in the open field on plays from scrimmage, I bet he was awesome (his stats bear that out).

Donahoe that he wouldn't know a good draft pick if it kicked him in the head.
Donahoe would've probably considered it a compliment. Good kickers are a dime a dozen, you know.

4) Good NFL Coaches Manage Personalities
I'd like to add Mike Williams regression to this list as well. How can it be possible that someone of his natural ability (& productivity the latter part of last year) not be able to contribute to what is clearly a sub-standard OL?
I think/hope that this is an issue that can be remedied.

1) Would the Bills have gained 375 yards of offense vs. Cincy
probably not.
and 343 yards vs. the Jets with JP Losman at QB?Probably so.
Would we have scored 37 and 26 points the last two weeks with JP Losman at QB?Considering in both games the offense only scored 2 TDs, then yes, it is conceivable.
The more important question w/ respect to this one, is what good did it accomplish?
Did it get us any closer to the playoffs this year? Did it likely improve our chances for making the playoffs next year? The answer is no.
2) If Eric Moulds had not caught 10 for 99 and 8 for 96 the last two weeks, would you possibly be thinking that just maybe Eric Moulds really might not be able to play any more?I would think he's declined from his prime, but even w/ his stellar production these last 2 weeks, I still don't think he's worth the >$5m cap space retaining him will cost.
3) If teams had continued to have zero fear of our QB (JP Losman) being able to pass the ball, at Willis McGahee didn't have 100 yards against the Jets, would you be a bit more concerned about McGahee not having had 100 yards since Halloween? The problem is that this brings even closer to light the issue of why can't he/we be this successful on a more consistent basis? Is it coaching, blocking or him?

7) Bills have better fans - did you see all those empty seats in the largest city in America !
East Rutherford, NJ is the largest city in the US?

Hey, it's better than a stick in the eye.
But only marginally.

I understand that he's not healthy & can't play, but does anyone know if there's any benefit to put him on IR?
I don't know of any, so why not just make him inactive?
I see that we activated Goldberry so the question is will he join Gates on the inactive list or is he actually going to play & spell Shelton?

I have it on good authority its one of the following:
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4
or ...
Geez, I was expecting one of those to be a link to the Peter Pan fairy.
His daughter (Linda Bogdan?) is one possiblity.

This came straight from MM, via his weekly column, that he writes himself, in Bills Digest
How do you know that he actually writes it himself? I doubt it myself.
Seems to me that he would be a VERY busy individual whose time was EXTREMELY valuable. As such, a far more efficient manner of producing a column such as that would be to have him dictate the content and then have someone else actually write it and possibly also apply an unknown amount of editing to the content.

Presumably, the original source of the quote was oral. Particularly, if one doesn't enunciate well, it would be very simple to interpret an "em" to be "him" rather than "them".
We've all seen the sometimes rather humorous and sometimes ridiculous quotes on bb.com which are often attributed to this.

I play volleyball. Up to 5 times a week, one of which is on a team that plays at a relatively high competitive level. (The rest are pickup & usually more recreational in nature.)

Reminds of what I believe is a true story.
I think it was Jim Ritcher's kid, who when asked what his father did, replied, "He plays for the lowly Buffalo Bills" apparently cuz that's how he always heard them called.

Miami.
1) cuz we blew it (more than other games)
2) cuz we lost to a weak team
3) cuz it was MIAMI!!!

I'll speculate that it's similar to the practice of doing so at the end of an email. (I do neither, BTW.)
Perhaps a holdout from the bygone days of snail-mail letters &/or notes where the sender isn't previously identified.

In my opinion, letting Wade go was the biggest mistake this organization has made in the last 7 years
NO. But possibly promoting him from DC to HC was.
Great Coordinator, lousy HC.

Calling Holcolm's 3rd down passes RJ-like is entirely wrong.
That's one thing that RJ would seldom do & that is check down.
If it was 3rd & 25, he'd sit in the pocket until either someone was open on a 27 yard route or get sacked.

Thanks Beerball.
& FYI, I don't work but it's too cold to be playing w/ the car in the garage let alone out golfing (it'd be tough to find the white balls buried in the snow), so my attention has shifted inside to the house. The house is getting to the point (17 yrs old; I've lived here 13) where some repairs/updates are warranted.

I'm considering re-doing my kitchen countertop.
I have an 'L' section of kitchen counter top that measures just over 4'x8', yet there's no apparent seam. I was wondering if maybe they made these things (laminate sheeting ) oversized, like maybe 50"x98" or how do they accomplish this?
TIA

What you said is similar to what Polian was referring to in another thread from a few days ago.
It's worthy of note that you mention the 2 recent Colt coaches, Mora Sr & Dungy.

Although he certainly seemed to know his stuff (IMO), if I'm not mistaken, he was getting quite up there in age. Perhaps there was an issue of him not wanting &/or being able to put in what I'm sure are the obscene hours necessary to adequately do the job.
If it wasn't an issue then, it might be now, especially since it's likely that hour front office will be overhauled.

I got the same msg.
But considering we're playing the BRoncos, is orange really the prudent choice?
-
I wish him luck & of course I hope he does continue to excel. However, talk is cheap. Remember, this defense was talking in pre-season about being one of the elite defenses of the ages.

What about 'The Pill'? aka Pillsbury Dough Boy
p.s. Although it's not widely used, I'm particularly found of "Jerry's Kids"
Oh my God.
