  1. One common denominator with the Bills missing the playoffs, has been Russ Brandon. I'm not sure of his exact roll, but I feel he has too much power. The Bills need a hockey guy and a football guy to be president of each team. Pegulas don't appear to know what theyre doing, but I am thankful they kept both teams in buffalo. I'd rather B word about how bad each team is than watch them be in the playoffs in vegas.

  2. Trade value not that good. Might as well play him and see what happens. I don't think they will pick up his option either.

Draft someone, play Sammy, and hope it pans out...the Buffalo way!

I think a team 25-32 looking for a WR would offer their 1st round. Hes only 23, they'd pick up the 5th year option. I feel teams around the league know Sammys value. Unfortunately hes in Buffalo with a team being ran by idiots.

  3.

Tom Brady has already defied the odds by playing at a high level this long. He wants to continue going like this for 6-7 more years, but the chances of that actually happening are very small. Regardless of his training/diet, there will be a point that Brady drops off. And I think the Patriots know this.

All of their moves this off-season have been VERY unlike typical Patriot behavior. This is a team that historically has shunned big-name free agents, traded away big players before their contracts expire, and stockpiled draft picks. But this year, the Patriots have:

    1. Been reluctant to trade Jimmy Garoppolo, despite the fact he is a free agent next season

    2. Traded a 1st Rounder for Brandin Cooks. Next year, his 5th year option will jump his salary to over $8 million. Then he is also a free agent.

    3. Signed one of the most overpriced free agents on the market in Stephon Gilmore.

The Patriots are obviously mortgaging their future for another Super Bowl run.

You say obviously like any one has an Idea as to why they do what they do. They have been so far in front of the curve that nothing with them is obvious. To think otherwise would be foolish.

  4. So trade a starting (cusp pro bowl player) QB nightmare for a backup RB?

OP, you don't see the problem here with your logic?

Only 1 year of 10 sacks or more, so I disagree with qb nightmare. 1) it wouldnt be for a 2 RB it would be your future starter. Probably with in 2 years. 2) I am not saying I would do it, But I would trade hughs in a second for a one. Just wouldnt use it on a RB.

  5.

With Tolbert to handle the short yardage runs, Williams to spell McCoy, and DiMarco leading the way I don't really see RB as a weakness. If anything I think the signings early in FA were to prepare for this scenario.

I just didnt see anything in Williams that makes me feel comfortable that hes a good number 2. Hopefully I am wrong.

  6. RB is about the easiest position to fill.... I'd take a 1st for Hughes, but I wouldn't blow it on a RB

I believe thats largely overstated but I get where your coming from, and I agree I would trade hughs for a 1 in second, but no not on a RB.

  7. In the strongest RB draft in two decades? To replace our backup who was unemployed last November and we signed off the street. I'm going to go with "no" on this one.

you're not just replacing a number 2. History shows that RB hit a wall at 30, indicating that McCoy's wall is coming soon. You need to draft to prepare for the future. Right now if MG leaves there is no future RB on the team. Thats a huge problem for a running team with a maybe avg QB. Williams hasn't done a thing to prove he is good enough to play. While many want a RB that average 5.7 yards a carry for 2yrs to leave.

  8. IF MG leaves, obviously RB is now a weakness. IF a team is willing to give up a 1 for Hughs, would you trade him to get back into the 1st round to draft a top 3 rb? I mean I'd give up Hughs for a 1 immediately regardless. But in this scenario strictly just for a RB.

  9. This reminds me of the Chargers. They kept LT 1 year too long and let go of michael turner. Turner went on to have 4-5 strong years with Atlanta, and LT was gone the next year and out of the NFL 2 years later. I'd rather get rid of a RB a year early than a year late, and keep the younger RB. Especially one thats average 5.7 per carry the last 2 years

  10. Trade Down Scenarios....

    W/ Cleveland -

Cleveland get 10th pick rd 1

    Bills get 12th pick rd 1, 108th pick rd 4, 175th pick rd 6.

    Or

    W/ Tampa Bay

    Tampa gets 10th rd 1, 75th pick rd 3, 156th pick rd 5.

    Buffalo get 19th pick rd 1, 50th pick rd 2, 84th pick rd 3.

(It's basically swap 1st's, swap 3rd's and Buffalo gets Tampas 2nd). Both trades meet the point differences of the draft pick value chart. Also they are 2 teams that might trade up. Cleveland for a QB and Tampa for Cook.

honestly I'd take either but all depending on how the draft shapes out. The Bills obviously need as many pics as possible, and if they can come away with 3/4 starters like they did last year fan should be extremely happy

  11. I get it. Like I said I want Sammy here. But, to put it into a sentence; Julio is bigger, faster, has a bigger catch radius, and had more catches for more yards and more TDs in fewer games than Sammy.

Right, again im not saying Sammy is better. Not close. But statistically the first three years are very close. What would sammy be doing with matt ryan . Sammy had EJ manual his first year. My point is Sammy is not the "bust" that a lot of people think he is, and you cannot even consider letting him walk.
