  1. If reports of the Bills not looking to extend Sammy are true, and for those fans that think hes a bust. His first 3 years compare very similar to Julio Jones first three. and Julio has Matt Ryan throwing to him

    JJ

    34 games played 174 receptions, 2737yds 20tds

    sammy

    37 games played 153 receptions 2459yds 17tds

Neither the Bills nor anyone should really be dogging sammy, and if the Bills let him walk it'd be a total joke. The stats are very comparable, if anything Sammy is the more productive WR based on the qbs he has had throwing to him.

  2.

    Derek Rivers in the 4th?

That would qualify as an amazing steal.

I think Rivers is a top-50 guy right now.

I'd be surprised but he has the size strength and speed to go that early. Playing at that level hurts him a little but playing in the MVC helps a little.

  3. The Bills had Rivers in today to work out and interview. They need to find a way to get this kid. Don't see him lasting much pass the 4th, and right now they dont have a 4th rounder. May take their 3rd round pick to get him.

  4. The Bills right now are a 5-11 football team, especially with he schedule they have. Even if they keep the rest of their players, you know half of them end up not playing due to injuries. They need to trade down and get as many picks as possible and all of them contribute to even have a chance at 8-8. Exciting.

Though you may be right, its not because woods, brown and gilmore left. Woods will hurt the most as of right now, but the other 2 I'm not worried too much about. Gilmore is good, but not worth the crazy money he got. Brown really isn't that good, fans just liked the story.

  5. More people will band around together and wish well for this guy who has nothing to do with the Bills. On the other hand, the guy on our team who's entire family passed away/got murdered gets caught with weed and we want to burn down his house...Wonder why?

Also, can someone fill me in on why this guy is such a great GM? Their first round pick in 2016 is a monster bust so far and he did a great job picking up a guard at #5 the year before. Whoopty damn doo.

Don't tell me he did a great job with Seattle because he wasn't GM there. Seattle is John Schneider's baby and he was just on the staff.

were bilichick, or coughlan, just some nobodies when they worked under Parcells? Were those Giant teams all Parcells? those 2 got their opportunities to be the boss and have 7 super bowls between them. Point is he is one of the most respected talent evaluators in the NFL, he just needs his chance to have control of a team to do his thing.

  6.

To think one of the top 5 RBs in the league has no value on the trade market, now that is foolish. He may not get a first round pick, but we would certainly get something for him.

Yea the bills may get a fifth round or later, but that doesnt have any value to the bills based on his production. No team is trading a 1-3rd pick for a RB at age 29. History says he has 1 maybe 2 more good years left.

He does have drinking issues, but supposedly people (not the "brain trust" of the Washington Indigenous People, but everyone else, supposedly) is that he hasn't hurt his job performance.

If I were the Pegulas, I'd be in the private jet right now. This guy is genuinely good.

We all have our faults, as long as he is doing his job and not hurting anyone I mean who really cares. The bills should be doing everything they can to win, and this guy is a proven winner.

  8. well, the reports of his drinking issues have been pretty well confirmed.

whether he has completely fallen off the wagon i suppose isnt certain -- but given his continued push to use moderation instead of abstaining even though its cost him hugely and repeatedly, it would be hard to say he would be a reliable option until he decides to actual

pass drinking issues have been confirmed, but nothing since he arrived in Washington has been confirmed to be an issue. The guy has a great talent, a true football talent evaluator. Buffalo needs to start winning. Allen firing him is a joke. Allen use to be an agent, he didn't come up through the ranks of scouting.Only inner NFL circles no the truth about McCloughan. Could really help this team

In that case, having just gone back and read most of your past posts, I would think you would find tremendous value in Shady

The Chargers tried trading LT before they cut him and he went to the jets. No one would make an offer. LT was 10xs the back McCoy is. McCoy would only be worth trading if the Bills got a 1-3 round pick, and that just would not happen. If Lynch comes back and the Raiders trade for him that'd be interesting to see what Seattle gets... Now the idea of trading Wood I like, never thought of that. Team seemed to do fine without him, and a team may be willing to offer a high pick. I'd say Wood has the highest value, as trading him I dont think hurts the team all that much.

  10. Good thing he doesn't turn 29 until July! Better pounce on the trade before he loses all his value next year!

No team at his age and salary would ever trade for him. He has no value on the trade market. To think otherwise is foolish.

  11. If it's player for player trade I'd be ok with it but Whaley is not good at drafting, so we'll trade our best asset and hope the guy who isn't good at drafting all of a sudden becomes good? I don't like our odds.

I dont think the Bills should trade any players unless blown away. I'm just curious as to peoples opinions.. Whaley has drafted a little better than he gets credit for.

  12. Shady is the best player with the smallest dead cap hit. I wouldn't trade him because it would be yet another self inflicted hole in our roster.

I dont think a 30yr old runningback has any trade value

  13. After getting rid of Norman, there secondary was terrible. They need to keep the quality young guys around.

Well they signed mike adams, So right now Boston would be backing him up.

  14.

One man's "can play multiple positions" is another man's "can't play any positions".

I can't argue with that. But He was Michigan's best player, they did their best to find ways for him to make an impact. Shaq Lawson had a strong year, and I think Jalen Ramsey will be just fine.

  15. Here's a little something to think about. Would the Bills trade a 4th( if they get one) or a 5th to the panthers for Tre boston. Played fairly well in Carolina, hes young only started 1 year, knows the the D. Would cost as much as a rookie.

  16.

Stopped reading right there; he's started 37 of a possible 48 games as a pro.

I don't know what definition of "never" you're using, but being available 77% of the time does not qualify as "never" by any definition I've seen.

I will officially be incensed if they take Peppers at #10 overall.

I don't even have a 1st round grade on the guy.

Well if you dont have a first round grade on him then that settles it. No peppers. He fits the type of player Mcdermit would like. Can play multiple positions. Wouldn't love it, but wouldn't hate it

  17.

While I completely agree with you, it would be incredibly disheartening to see a corner taken at #10 after letting Gilmore walk out the door.

They had to let Gilmore walk based on the contract he got. No way could the Bills have been able to afford him. letting him walk was money issue, and I'm ok with it.

  18. I just don't know how anyone can be comfortable with Seymour at corner based on 200 snaps last year.

LB is probably the weakest position, but corner (and QB for that matter) is far more important IMO.

I am more comfortable with him starting at corner, than Humber starting at OLB.

  19. Based off of the updated depth chart which position appears to be the most glaring need. IMO Holmes at number 2 is a lot better than Humber as the starting OLB. Kevon at the other corner I feel will be just fine. Getting more of a sense that this team is gonna go heavy on the defense (at least first 2 rounds) before they start addressing the O. I feel the Team will go LB/DB DB/LB in the first 2 rounds.
