It has literally never crossed my mind. I don't see why it should.
Maybe because it is the most infamous moment in Bills history

NFL or NCAA, is there ever a 47 yd FG attempt that doesn’t make you think…

I can understand this point of view although I was all in on Von. I’d be interested in who you would have spent that money on more wisely though. Or, is this just you don’t like spending that kind of money for an older DE despite his pedigree? Just curious, as I don’t think signing Von to that contract has really kept us from making any other moves that we wanted to make and our biggest need at the time was some pass rush to get past KC. Sucks that he blew out his knee which was a risk we took.
I would have spent the $$$ on offense.

I am in the minority, I think the money spent on Von could have been spent more wisely. The knee injury only made things worse.

I read almost the entire thread before I realized you weren’t talking about Misters. Then, I went back to see what the name of the establishment is. They may have good food, but what a dumb name. 😂

Imagine having 12,000 posts on this forum and not remember the 2020 afc championship game. Slightly too much Labatt blue maybe 😂
Boy I haven’t heard that before. Got me good there.

If you don't want to read the whole thesis, Urschel provided a short summary:
"This thesis considers four independent topics within linear algebra: determinantal point processes, extremal problems in spectral graph theory, force-directed layouts, and eigenvalue algorithms. For determinantal point processes (DPPs), we consider the classes of symmetric and signed DPPs, respectively, and in both cases connect the problem of learning the parameters of a DPP to a related matrix recovery problem. Next, we consider two conjectures in spectral graph theory regarding the spread of a graph, and resolve both. For force-directed layouts of graphs, we connect the layout of the boundary of a Tutte spring embedding to trace theorems from the theory of elliptic PDEs, and we provide a rigorous theoretical analysis of the popular Kamada-Kawai objective, proving hardness of approximation and structural results regarding optimal layouts, and providing a polynomial time randomized approximation scheme for low diameter graphs. Finally, we consider the Lanczos method for computing extremal eigenvalues of a symmetric matrix and produce new error estimates for this algorithm."
Typical locker room jock talk.
To quote the scarecrow…If I only had a brain.

Sayers and Butkus…together for 5 years before injuries cut their careers short. All-time greats on mediocre teams. They both deserved better.

I can't even pronounce the title of his thesis.
Let alone understand what it means. 😂

I’m guessing that during his time as a Bill he was on the field for 4000-5000 snaps, yet people struggle to come up with more than a few game changing plays. That sums up why he is no longer a Buffalo Bill.

Chicago blows a huge lead and loses to the equally bad Broncos, while the Redskins play the Eagles tough in Philly, and lose in OT. So what happens this week, Chicago strolls into DC and dominates them. Life of an NFL franchise. 😂

Von said he's 94.5% sure he'll be ready to play on Sunday.
What is up with the strange percentage? 😂

Didn’t someone post a chart earlier this week that said PFF had the Bills with a pass rush grade of 100?

I don’t like Fallon because he overly laughs at anything a guest says.
You would think as his tenure goes on, that he would tone down the fake laughter. It is so obvious.

I think the relevance of the 'history' is that embarrassing 6-9 loss, during which the Bills demonstrated that if you don't take a team, any team, seriously; if you don't prepare hard and play hard every week; you can and will get your ass handed to you on Any Given Sunday in the NFL.
I will never forget sitting in the stadium that day dumbfounded as to what I was witnessing in person.

The Bears have both their own pick and the Panthers #1 pick. I think that they have Caleb Williams in the bag.
It’s a long year. Before the season started, people were speculating that Arizona(who have their own pick plus Houston’s) would be a good bet to land both Williams AND Harrison. Fast forward 4 weeks, and look how that has already changed.
