I don't agree Bill. Watkins grades out ahead of Julio Jones coming out.
Stopped reading right here. Oh my.
-
Because no team wants to pick 2 good players per round instead of 1? I think it's a great idea. Look at all the mock drafts who predict who the Bills will take in round 2, now imaging getting 2 players instead of just 1 of them.
The Bills TE in round 1,
Round 2 OT and FS
Round 3 DE and OG
Round 4 QB and CB
Except the talent is all dried up by the time you get to round 3/4.

While I doubt Massare has sources, the constant bashing of people citing sources is ignorant. Without them there is no information and there's an obvious reason many can't be named.
If you don't want to hear "sources" then you don't get information...

Because?
Because.

This is a terrible idea.

The best player in this year's draft only had 3.5 sacks last year. If this is the case I would trade all of this year's picks for picks in future drafts.
People really cling to stats around here. Watch the film. He was double and sometimes triple teamed. Effort was low at many points, but nobody can play at the level he does sometimes on EVERY play. If they did they would be useless in crunch time. He doesn't get a huge contract right away, so he'll work his ass off to get there and beyond.

I've spent an unbelievable amount of time on this year's draft (even more than last year's) because I just can't get my final mock down. So much that can happen this year. Last year was easier to project due to the QBs not being there.

If he was the best player in the draft, I would probably agree with you.
I think they end up taking Mack or trading back.
He IS the best player in this draft. 19 out of 20 people will tell you that. 1 out of 20 will be submitted to a mental hospital.
-
Was it ever a given that they were taking clowney? Am I missing something?
I think it was a large, and fair, assumption for many people since he's the best player in this draft by a long shot. But he just might not fit with them.
-
If Clowney slips to two then I think the Rams trade back. If Buffalo can get Clowney without giving up a 2015 first then do it.
If Houston doesn't take Clowney at one I think they're going with Mack.
-
Okay. You can all be douches about it. I was just stating one person who also said they don't like Matthews. I know it sucks when somebody disagrees with you, but I think you'll be okay.
Personally, I don't like Matthews on film. As I said, I don't get the "feeling" with him like I do some other guys.
If it were as cut and dry as statistics then Matthews would be going much higher in this draft.
-
No thanks to these guys.
-
It doesn't argue against trading up. It argues against using the 2015 pick to do so. Which just about everybody hopes they don't do.

I think EJ has the potential to be a star. We need to keep him on his feet.
Yeap. They need to give him a shot this season. If injuries or play continue to be a problem then we need to make a quick move.
In this league you don't need 3-4 years to make a decision on a player. With the new rookie wage scale you can move on much more easily.
-
I was a big fan of Murray last year. I've cooled on him, but that's probably because I don't think we'll be considering him.
-
Until we get a franchise QB all these flaws will keep showing up.
Until we get a franchise QB just about everything is irrelevant.

Which Matthews? If Jordan, he averaged 100 catches per season in the SEC. That speaks volumes! Not only that, but teams knew he was basically the only weapon Vandy had and still couldn't stop him. When I spoke of him in an earlier post the Reggie Wayne comparison stood out to me. I'm glad others thought the same.
Yes, Jordan. And one SEC fan I talked to about Jordan said that the reason he was so successful is because teams knew he was good and didn't focus on him. They knew that he alone wasn't going to beat them so they made sure nobody else could beat them.

Not really a new GM - Whaley was quite instrumental in previous years draft, including trading down last year and selecting EJ
Whaley's way of dealing with the media is completely different than Nix was.
-
Matthews is just one of those players that I watch type and don't feel like he's that good. For the record, there are some very good NFL players who you can watch "highlight" films of and not get excited, so Matthews might end up being one of those players. I wouldn't hate the pick, but there are other guys who just give me more of a "feeling" than him.

This is a tragic story, but it's also amazing what that boy did.
Sidenote: your point about the girl being a prostitute is likely off-base and pointless... I've seen many non-prostitutes dress like that.
-
Lovie Smith was the guy I wanted most, but I didn't hate the hiring of Marrone.
-
Please no Jordan Matthews. Not a fan of his. I would rather have Allen Robinson or Donte Moncrief in the second.
-
The guarantees are strictly draft-day related. Any "rookie of the year" or bust calls are for other threads.
This is for trades, picks and stuff related to the draft.
-
The Jags pick will be either Khalil Mack or Sammy Watkins.
Anthony Dixon - Fred's replacement ?

I don't think Dixon is anything but a special teams player and occasional short-yardage back. He won't factor into the plans much.
