put me on board with the "Rush bores me" crowd....its the same **** over and over and over again
You realize of course that that critique of Rush, as wrong as it is, is a far more appropriate way to describe several bands already in the hall. AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen and others have made essentially the same album time after time for their whole careers.

And none of it would matter unless along with GM Belichick comes QB Brady.

Max Webster

As a big Rush fan I kind of wish they hadn't been voted in since I've long thought the RnR HOF to be a joke, but since there is a HOF how can anyone seriously assert that Rush doesn't deserve induction? Not digging what Rush does musically does not count as a reason either. By any and all conceivable metrics Rush belongs there.
-
I have to admit I didn't think they'd get in this year, but now it's very clear that Rush's problem all these years was with the jackasses on the nominating committee. The first year that they actually got on the ballot, they're in.
-
I don't know, but we're as far away as we've ever been from the 1999 Bills.
-
-
I didn't watch any of the game but I can answer this question. The Bills lost because the Colts are a better team.
-
Gordio, you're way too forgiving. I'm still pissed just reading about the incident.
And while I always tried to have a good time when I was "that age," it was NEVER at the expense of others.
The other very alarming thing is this: who raises kids like that?
I agree, I've never got into a fight at a Bills game and it takes a lot to piss me off, but damn I'd have a hard time blowing that one off.

My brother called me last night to ask if I wanted to fly up and use his other seat in the JK club. He can't give that ticket away. I'll say 53k.

I gotta say, it just doesn't hurt anymore for me. I don't know if it's just that I've grown up and have other more important and fulfilling interests or if the joke that this franchise has become has finally sucked the last ounce of passion out of me. It's probably a combination of the two, but either way I'm just not affected by what this team fails to accomplish on Sunday's anymore.
-
wow piss poor fans in here
first of all, if you aren't watching other NFL games as well you really aren't a fan of NFL football
get the sunday ticket ffs
also, i talk as much **** about the bills as anyone, but i still watch all the games
TAKE YOUR DAMN MEDICINE
Red zone channel. That way I'm updated in real time on the weekly debacle without having to give it my full attention. Plus its nice to watch real teams and competitive games.

DC can get away with that, you can't, just saying. Cat have a nice time off, I lurked here for about 3 years before I joined for basically the same reason. The addiction thing... finally pulled me in.
Really? Why is that?
-
Announcing it just makes you an attention whore. It's not a sewing circle. If you're done, leave.
Agreed. Anyone who starts a thread announcing that they are leaving should be immediately banned for life.
-
I am fed up with watching these morons too, but my solutions is the Red Zone channel....honestly, the thing is a godsend...they have the Bills on just long enough for you to shake your head at their ineptitude, and then before you know it they flip over to another game that you can focus on. It does wonders for blood pressure and sanity. I may not be able to prescribe meds as an RN, but dammit I prescribe the red zone channel for anyone who can't bear to watch this fuktardism anymore.
This has been my answer for years now, although I usually watch at least the first half of the Bills game before it's full time RZC. I've decided though that for the rest of the season it's just the RZC all day when I watch football on Sundays. Does Direct TV have a package where you can just get the RZC? I'd like to quit wasting my money on the full package if possible.

Bryan Cranston was also on Stern this week. Another great Stern interview as usual.
-
I still watch live every week. I only record if I have to be out of the house during the game. Regardless of win or lose, I always watch. Probably always will. It's in my blood.
So does every single person here who claims they aren't going to watch anymore. Sure they might not for a week or two, but they always come back.
-
Dude i am so with you. I would never even consider not watching! I am already depressed only 14 games left!
BTW, I am also one who loves to be outside and enjoying the fall weather. I never watch a 1Pm game live..always DVR that puppy and watch later in the day..and if you are not in Buffalo there reall is very little chance of hearing the score. Sit down bout 5 to watch the game, do a little cooking for Sunday dinner, skip the commercials and be done at 7.
4 oclock games bout the same, start watching at 5 but usually caught up to live bout 6.30.
This is what I do as well. Even if the Bills were good I'd be doing the DVR thing, watching NFL games live is excruciating.

With all due apologies to Just Jack...
The Bills will win because I have only watched 2 games this year from start to finish. KC, because I was there and Cleveland because I could... I will DEFINITELY watch this game live, wire to wire, which means we will win.
What will you do?
Probably be forced to turn on the red zone channel by early 3rd quarter as per usual.

This is exactly how I saw the season going for the Bills back in May (see Dinners on me thread) in terms of wins and losses, but in no way did I foresee the fashion in which they would lose those three games. I have them winning the next two and going on to a 10-6 season, but if LA opened that thread I would definitely alter it down to 6-10 based on the putrid display of football we have seen in three out of five weeks.

For the first time ever, I'm gonna say something that I can't believe I'm gonna say.
First, a little background: I fell in love with the Bills at the old Rockpile. My dad took me to all the games from a very early age...it's in my blood! I worked across from Rich stadium... The early 90's were awesome & as a result, the Bills have been woven into my DNA.
Second, a few years ago, my business took me to a trade show at the University of Phoenix stadium. That stadium is the bomb! I asked security if I could go outside to see the field & they allowed me to do so. It's chest high & I reached out & touched it. When I did, I developed a strange bond with that place & I started asking some questions...how the roof works, how the field moves...how the stadium opens up to allow the field to move outside, etc. As a result, I started following the Cards & their progress. I became a fan!
So, since our team is totally pathetic again this year & going nowhere as usual, & since the Cards are 4 & 1 & hope abounds in the desert, I'm actually gonna be rooting for them Sunday! That's right...Go Cards! Go ahead...call me names! I really don't care...I'm ready for a divorce from the Buffalo Bumblers!
I won't call you names, but I will say that you were never really a true fan in the first place if swapping teams works for you. If it were that easy for the rest of us to turn on and off our fandom then who here would still be a fan of this joke of a franchise after all these years of misery? I'm glad you found a way out, but for most of us it's not a choice unfortunately.

I'm like this guy, what used to be painful kicks to the nuts each and every week now no longer even faze me.

Yes, numb is the word.
Rush inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame!

Listen to 2112, Counterparts or Clockwork Angels and tell me they're all synthesized. 80s Rush was the synth / keyboard era. Early Rush and recent Rush bears absolutely no resemblance to that era.
