  1. Gotta give a little credit to coaching as well for these turnovers. These guys are ripping at that ball non stop and hitting hard (in the right target areas) Its been an impressive defensive scheme for the most part. Milano comes to mind for his big game today. Play hard, every play. Its been an impressive ride watching them.

I for one thought they were doomed and Carr would just light them up all day long.

I as well. Figured Carr would go off for 400 yards today. Guess we were wrong...

  2. 8 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD, 2 turnovers, team is 5-2.

Have you ever considered that maybe if the rest of this year plays out similarly to how it's been playing so far that McBeane might actually identify Taylor as our Franchise QB?

The thing I've been impressed with is that Taylor hasn't been asked to carry the team or put the team on his back unless absolutely necessary, and when it is, he delivers. I can't look up Taylor's passing splits at the moment, but I'm pretty sure they would be pretty impressive in the "passing when trailing" category.

It's possible that's McDermott's ideal game plan as opposed to chucking it all over the field.

Taylor might just be an unconventional Franchise QB, but a Franchise QB nonetheless.

    Still TBD, though.

If the D isn;t handing TT and the O the ball 3-4 times a game, we are having a very different conversation. The D is keeping this team in games AND scoring.

He DID complete passes to receivers today, which hasn't happened all year so far: hitting Mathews\Jones\Holmes for 3 receptions each. That's an improvement.

  3. This is what happens during a rebuild, especially when new coaches and gm are brought in. This is not unique. The 49ers and Browns have been shedding players for a couple years now, some of them quite good.

Do people not realize that we were losing with all those players? Our team looks completely different and is winning games without them. I think McD and Beane deserve the benefit of the doubt.

    + 1

    Agreed. CLEAN ON!!!

Strip this thing to the bare metal IMO. I'm all in...

COULD NOT WAIT until they got rid of Dareus as well, which just apparently happened.

Send a very clear and consistent message: if you don't perform and/or are NOT on board - see ya...

Let them have a shot a building a damn WINNER for Buffalo!!!

  4. Would appreciate if the moderators would post articles from other publications that do not require you to pay to read them. There are plenty of other sources for Bills related material besides the Buffalo News. I can't read 99% of the articles on the page because you have to subscribe in order to read them. If the Buffalo News wants to require a subscription to read their material, then that's fine, it's their newspaper and their right. I just would like to continue to read articles on Two Bills Drive without having to pay to do so. Anyone else feel the same way?

What does this have to with Tyrod sucking.... or not sucking.... I GUess... B-)

  5. The world may not explode but the board might.

IF the Bills lose the board WILL explode. And we will be 1 step closer to seeing Peterman. This regime is not sold on TYrod, and will do whatever they need to do to win games. As it should be.

I suspect the Bills will have a marginal win: TT does just barely enough to not lose, and that's all that is needed to keep the Bills in the win column and QB debate going for another week.

    IMO

The only thing of savior Peterman 's that is " off the charts" is his libido when he sees Brady in tight pants on Sundays.

    What the hell!!! LOL

  6. I!m not saying you are wrong, but it is debatable. You have to blame some of that 0-5 on him, and TT gets almost no credit for 3-2. Eli is almost immobile as a statue, whereas TT's legs are not used by our OC. Eli will always be remembered for his two rings, no matter how much his play has declined lately, and TT will always be remembered as a failed QB in the draught.

Who is to say how many of the other 31 QB's would have won a SB if they had Eli's supporting cast. That is one question we will never know the answer to.

Buffalo 1 st in league D points allowed, and 31 in league O yards / game.

They are not winning because of great QB play.

  7. This should be a 24-14 Bills win. It will be a good test of Mcdermotts "stay humble" mantra. Buffalos biggest obstacle will be not taking Tampa lightly. I think Mcdermott has this teams attention. Im looking for a solid 60 minute effort.

We did play the #1, 2, 4, and 10 defenses in the first five games. Tampas 31. That should make a difference.

A home game coming off a bye should result in a win. I agree Tampa D is bad : 22nd in points allowed.

  8. To be fair neither will the start Peterman "Pom Pom League" either

I don't know the official count, however as a Bills fan I have come to know the NEXT QB up holds much more promise than any current QB the Bills may be rolling out there.

Seriously, they (The Bills) KNEW how bad E.J. was, wound't run him out there, but we don't know how bad Peterman is. MY guess is we will find out sometime before the season

    ends.

TT is not going to get better, or improve, or progressing or whatever. He is a sack waiting to happen.

In your opinion, how many of the 31 other starting QB's suck?

    This sucks:

    1. Buffalo Bills at 03:33
    2. 4-R.Bullock kicks 65 yards from CIN 35 to end zone, Touchback.
    3. 1-10-BUF 25(3:33) 5-T.Taylor sacked at BUF 20 for -5 yards (90-M.Johnson).
    4. 2-15-BUF 20(3:00) (Shotgun) 5-T.Taylor pass short left to 25-L.McCoy to BUF 20 for no gain (90-M.Johnson).
    5. 3-15-BUF 20(2:22) (Shotgun) 5-T.Taylor pass deep right intended for 11-Z.Jones INTERCEPTED by 43-G.Iloka at BUF 43. 43-G.Iloka to BUF 29 for 14 yards (84-N.O'Leary).

  9. Just what we needed an Anti Anti Taylor thread!!!

    + 1

    Seriously freaking AAA!!!

The Tyrod Taylor apologists "Defense League" just won't quit.

    Foreigner

Tyrod just sucks: Nobody hating him. Geez

yes. This is much more helpful than the pro Tyrod Threads that we have so many of.

well. It's the bye week. The Bills have NO passing game, and the starting QB feels he's being judged too harshly.

  10. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/10/14/bills-tyrod-taylor-believes-hes-held-to-a-higher-standard-because-hes-african-american/

Last year it was the media's fault when he sucked. Now he's being held to higher standard because he's black ?

He almost makes as many excuses as the fanatical taylorheads here. Try not being at the bottom of qb ranking lists. Leave the race nonsense alone.

"Haters" disappear when you're actually good at your craft like Cam, Jameis, Watson, and Wilson.

I have long held that he is a poor NFL QB, now he is also a victim?

Tyrod - Note: Let us know how this works out for you next year when ur resigned as a backup, which is what you are...

Playing the race card rarely goes well..

  11.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I think the best long term interest for the Bills is to keep starting Taylor...

    1. Peterman is simply not set up for success because of the injury situation. You just don't do that to a rookie QB.

    2. Taylor starting is the surest way to get the highest pick possible in the 2018 draft.

    3. Peterman can start when they get Clay and Matthews back, and Zay Jones has settled in and has become a real threat at WR.

    4. Anyone still holding onto Taylor being a viable long term option is lost.

This actually makes a lot of sense, but they do need to find out what if anything Peterman can do some time this year: I think?

  12. How ugly do you think it will be at the stadium if Tyrod plays this next game like his last game? I can hear them screaming his name. Ugly? Ugly is when fans start chanting to want change at the stadium that's when it gets real ugly. This new staff hasn't seen the ugly, sadly it could be right around the corner. Hope he does well but I'm so sick of wishing for a miracle that never happens on this 3 year Tyrod experiment.

I'm wondering how much longer the D is going to be showing up if they keep getting nothing from the O and QB position?

  13. How about way worse. Like much worse.

Like mind numbingly terrible and worse.

Tyrod didn't have his best game today - everyone will pile on

    NOT!!!

The OP and a good many others also apparently don't watch other QBs for full games. They see a highlight show with the 2 or 3 good plays some other QB makes and proclaim, Tyrod is worse than all other QBs. " Then they rush here to share their "insights" with the rest of us, day after day, week after week.

TYrod is horrible... The Bills are going to draft a QB in 2018. End of story.

  14. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000856686/article/qb-index-week-5-tom-brady-unfair-alex-smith-on-fire

    Per NFL.com

    #8 Tyrod Taylor QB

    Bills

I've read enough about what Taylor can't do. What he can do is scare the daylights out of the league's best defenders like Von Miller, who guarded Taylor on one Week 3 play as if the QB was LeBron James about to take Miller to the hole. Taylor responded by flipping a pass across his body 31 yards down the field to tight end Nick O'Leary. These moments are incredibly common for a quarterback ranked 31st in pass attempts.

    2017 stats: 4 games | 65.7 pct | 744 pass yds | 7.5 ypa | 5 pass TD | 1 INT | 118 rush yds | 0 rush TD

I read this, and it is a good sign re: Taylor, but the reality I think is the Bills staff know they can't win with Taylor throwing the ball. They are trying to get JUST enough out of the

rushing game (ranked 16 on NFL) to limit Tyrod's attempts to 25 / game. This is dead last in the NFL at this point, and clearly by design. It's working now, which is great. At some point,

the Bills are going to have to move the ball in the air and Tyrod's limitations will again be on display.
