  1. Since the year started, all I have heard and seen is the negatives of the Bills! I've seen all the games as well and even went to the home games. I agree the Bills do not look at all in sync! Yes this is true but can I simply remind all the nah sayers of a few items here. 1. The Bills have 4 running backs plus a full back. HELLO when was the last time a team had 4 backs plus a fullback on the roster? 2. C.J. has had negative yards running this preseason, does this mean he sucks too? 3. Eric Woods is the smallest guy on our line at 310 lbs, starting to see what I'm getting at yet? 4. EJ is only in his second year, when Manning was in his second year he threw 15 ints to 26 TD's. No I'm not saying EJ is Manning but man let him grow! Yes bumps in the road, but Marrone is a coach for a reason and we need to be behind him! 5. We lost a couple great players on defense, but Swartz has had a reputation of stopping the run so his schemes match better with our team than what Pettine did. Not saying Pettine was bad, but Swartz is an upgrade and proven! LET THE SWARTZ BE WITH YOU! couldn't resist......... 6. Yes we won't score 30+ points a game and we don't have to! The Bills are going to be a very boring team to watch but also successful. Run, run, run, screen, slant pass, run, run, and did I mention run! Yes with an upgrade with the front line and 4 running backs plus a fullback, I bet we run! 7. EJ will not be handed to the keys and told to win the game but manage it with short stints and some check down plays. I'm okay with that for this year. Let Watkins grow into the NFL as Most receivers don't get many huge numbers their first year either. The threat is there so teams will have to respect it, when they don't I'm sure EJ will hit that! All that being said, I'm looking at a Bills team built like the Baltimore Ravens who won a super bowl with Trent Dilfer! Yes I BILLIEVE THIS DEFENSE IS THAT GOOD! I'm saying we go 10-6 or 11-5 with a playoff run here! Thinking outside the box only brings in new ideas and the best way to keep a high powered offense from beating you is not let them on the field. Just ask anyone who watched the Giants beat the Bills 20-19. They kept Kelly on the bench most of if not all the third and fourth quarter. Here you go! Bills! I BILLIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I want to agree with you; however Fitz is not the answer at all. He is good to keep a team in the mix but not a true starter. He has tried and just doesn't have it. I'm not one to bash him as he can play much better than I but if we compare qb's he is not good enough. Look at the stats to see how and what makes him. Chan is doing what he can to give him better numbers but Chan and even Buddy know they need a qb. I also agree they need another receiver. Nelson seems to be a good target and when he was lost it showed as Fitz was on the same page with Nelson and that happens. But you can'r agrue that Fitz choked against the Jets and he choked against the pats. The defense did the same thing and I also think Wanny is gone this year as well.
  3. Why even bring this topic up? It would be stupid to get rid of Chan the Man now. Granted his team is the worst defense in the league but to fire him now what would be the advantage? To get rid of him there would have to be an advantage or a set point. To give the team a message? What message would that be? If anything I feel he and Dave are too good of friends and Dave might want to go elsewhere just to give Chan some room to breath an ounce of fresh air. Dave brings no intensity to this teams defense and no matter scheme is brought in the team is not working well with him. If there is a cancer in the locker room like people are suggesting like Mario then Chan has got to be the one to kill it. He has to be the one to either go to the GM and say something or get another defensive coordinator in to give a gut check. Maybe the team will address this? Kelsey cracked the door a little to say people didn't play hard enough then maybe they need to come as a team and address the cancer head on. Either way we all look at it, we knew that the Bills would not be contenders this year. A playoff team maybe but not contenders. I think the team needs to ride the wave they are on untiul new ownership can come in and really address the teams needs like it should. No way to getting rid of Chan.
  4. I for one don't call it dumb but get upset at what is on the field. People pay a lot of money to see these players play at the high level they do. I thought Fitz was going top play better and thought Mario was going to be a killer for us and Dave W. was going to fix the defense. Now look at us. Last in defense, Fitz is playing worse this year and Mario is being a locker room cancer. Who would have thought? The management took a shot and failed it. Not their fault at all with the exception of the cancer in the locker room. The NFL is only part talent but the other end is how the guys gel together. Something behind the scenes is not being brought out in some way or another. This to me makes it a dumb move because the fans pay the players not the owners. Empty seats leads to no team or a change. Fans have every right to be mad and complain. If the coach can't get a grip on why this is happening then the coach has to go. It's the way it is. If Chan is soft on the players and the players need a tough coach to lay down the law then so be it. This is why GM's get fired. Chan is trying all he can, but the job is not getting done. They either need to get some one in to do it or the GM needs to go for not getting the coach the right tools to get it done. People hate rebuilding but the team doesn't need to be rebuilt. They need a general to lead the path.
  5. The problem to me of the NFL is no different than the way the market goes. Before too long the NFL will out market itself. Yes Thursday, all day Sunday, Sunday night, Monday night. Times have changed and now the NFL network itself is too much. They want big markets and that's it. Ticket prices are going to become more than what it's worth if not already in some places. Case in point, Giants and Jets have issues selling out as the prices are too high. When I was younger, it didn't cost so much. Now it cost so much many people can't take their kids to a game. It's not the Bills but the way the NFL has gone to me. I watch the Bills and that's it. I hate going to a bar to watch them anymore. If the Bills aren't on tv I find something else to do. I can care less of watching others as the highlights and replays and every sports network has some sort of break down of the league it's impossible not to know what the other teams are doing.
  6. Dear Chan, Please read that article. Thank you..... WTF!!!!!!!! You mean a college coach can say that but we don't??????? Man up and give it to the team Chan..
  7. Lets get it done Terry!!!!! When is Bill Polian coming back is what I want to know?
  8. I just recently moved back to Buffalo this year, and have been a Bills fan a long time. I have been following the latest news and reports on Ralph and the Bills for a while. Though I don't BILLIEVE the Bills are losing games for a better draft, I do however and have been saying the Bills have an owner in place. I have felt this way for a while and though no real proof I did discuse with a very close family friend of how and why. The Buffalo area has said it was going to get a deal done for the Ralph to get upgrades and that the deal would be done this year. I never once bought that notion. For the team to stay in Orchard Park is useless and not at all a good business plan. The reasoning why is that there's nothing out there and it's 20 minutes or so from Buffalo? What were they thinking???? Anyways a new owner ship would never buy into the Bills being in Orchard Park but would want the team closer to Canada and easier for Rochester and even Syracuse to make the trip to Buffallo. By doing so even if its 20 minutes, it brings more people into Buffalo and with a few ghotels and a shuttle people would stay the night downtown by the water. Remember Terry P. of the Sabres wants to bring Buffalo back. I don't know if many of you have been to downtown lately but coming back after 20 years away, downtown is starting to revive itself with the waterfront and the canal they are developing. To put a stadium on the outer harber is exactly the place top be as that is bigtime land to develop and make Buffalo a nicer place to want to be. I for one truly BILLIEVE that Terry P. maybe even Rich family, and Jacobs have teamed up and want to develop this the right way from behind the scenes with not a person knowing. No firm will put together such a display of a new stadium for free but leak it out when the toime is right. Ralph gets to stay owner until the end like he has always wanted and the team goes to a person who is all about the area and not his pocket like Pegula. Call it wishful thinking or a hunch but only someone like that can do something like this. It would be the very best thing for the city and the team. If Ed Kilgor reads this please back me up because I think you know something as well. In closing ask yourself who would come out and do something like this if it wasn't being backed? Companies need money to produce drawings and design engineers and architects are not cheap and don't do drawings for free. Trust me on that one.
  9. Houston has a cutback type running game! Well that can be to our advantage as we are still trying to get to the football when he cuts back and we end up blocking the lanes........... Go figure we end up winning because Houston won't know how to cut back to get yardage....... Oh wait we have Fitz to throw an interception for a pick six, sorry just wishful thinking?
  10. All morning long I have been bashing and telling everyone about how Dave needs to go and that even Chan might leave, I calmed down and starting to think this through. Ralph is not going to be around much longer, and for the Bills to drop a head coach and his great friend Dave what will the answer be then? Last year myself included said the stache would be a much better upgrade. Now we managed to be worse than last year? I really hope that calmer heads prevail and the management sits back and tries to see what the answer can be or changes that can be made to get this team better. One might think that TJ coming in at qb can help? I for one can see that and even can accept it as we all know Fitz is not the answer so lets see if the stronger arm guy can fit in. Football has just as much to do with chemistry as it does talent. I feel that if he fits in then give him a shot. I also think maybe bring in Vick? Is is publicly known that the Bills tried hard to get him but Goodell changed his mind to go with the eagles, who knows. Vick just might make a difference here. He can't hurt. Maybe try and get another LB a shot like putting Barnett in the middle? I for one BILLIEVE the Bills need a shot of reality and maybe shufle things up. Even if the Bills went to the playoffs could they really win? So lets see some changes that make a difference and see what we get out of it....... OBD please make a change for the better and not worse. Case in point. Getting rid of Morman really showed us how it looks to get a ball punted for 21 yards..... Just saying. Bring in a play changer we need and shufle up the deck a little please..........
  11. Responsibilty does fall on the coach and it needs to. What Chan has done in the past he has addressed the situations at hand. I do agree and even posted than Dave W. either needs a fire under him or be let go, as we addressed the defense like crazy this past year and have gotten worse? It's the system or the coaching as the players are doing their best. We can call out Sheppard and Mario and whoever we want but the fact of the matter is the coaches analyzed the players and let some go and brought in others to do the job. The Bills need to look at their talent and have a sit down to right the ship. Dave W. must go not Chan and here's why. The offense has put up 34 points and still not win? YES the Bills are 0-4 when Fitz gives up the ball and 3-0 when he does not, but the defense has gotten worse this year from last year and WE WERE 31st in the LEAGUE LAST YEAR?????????? How can you be last in the league a year ago and still get worse? Buffalo finds a way to do it........... Dave should be gone!
  12. The fault falls on the hands of the coach. It always has and always will. I find it extremely hard that a guy who sits in a bar and watches the game can call the defense being used. I'm not stating that I know all by any stretch because I don't but calling what you see is mind blowing. The Bills defense is an extremely big problem and it falls on Chan. His play calling on offense is one to be questioned a bit as well but to put up 34 points and still not win falls on the other side of the ball. Why and how does the right side of the defense seem to give up all that yardage? Who is missing the lane to stop that? Is it Kelsey or Barnett? How could the Titans get a few 4th down plays to win the game? If Dave is not fired then I give up on the season. This is why: Dave has always had a great defense but times have passed him by. He no longer has a grip on what todays game is about. The defense is not aggressive enough and they give up the big play way too much. "They" say it was a few players off so they go get Mario. Yes Mario is not coming through but it's not him. It's the style in which the game is played. Take the Saints this year. They lost the coach for a year and the Saints look like the old Aints. The team falls around and follows the coach and their style. When you have no OOMPH.... then it falls on the coaching. Their not pumping the team up enough and getting them prepared to play. When you play flat you get beat. They need to give the players something to BILLIEVE in and that's not happening at all. When Fitz gives up the ball the Bills are 0-4. When he doesn't they are 3-0. Say what you will but Fitz must go. He does not have what it takes and is a great guy and a decent player but doesn't have the drive to keep things alive. He just doesn't have the it factor and if Chan feels he does then why does he choke? Coach Bill C. said it best after the game, "Fitz just drives you crazy because at times he shows what it takes to be good and others he just does things that make you wonder". I know this isn't war but would you want a general leading you that might put you in a death situation? I feel he lost this team and they want to BILLIEVE but deep inside they know he just doesn't have it. I'm not saying he's a bad guy but the proof is in the pudding guys.
  13. Fitz has all the tools but is just not getting it done. Chan knows this and you can see he is doing the best that he can with what he has. He likes Fitz because on paper and in meetings, Fitz can most likely beat anyone; but on the field he just can't take that knowledge and make it happen. I don't Chan or Fitz but it is what it is. Hopefully Chan can make something happen with Buddy this year coming up with a trade or something. I can see Flynn being a free agent again but will Buffalo go for it or even Vick? Chan just needs to slow the game down for Fitz and ease his way into more slant or even out routes so Fitz can throw a few half way deep. Its what we have on our plate. I for one was a BILLIEVER in that with some extra coaching Fitz would have a better year. I am eating my words and have to agree that Fitz is not a starter that we might hope for.
  14. Dave W. has had a top ten defense in all his places he has been a d coordinator. Most of us remember those cowboy days, and he set that up. He is getting the right pieces together and it will take a year to get them in place. I felt they could be playing better ball but also feel he will have the pieces in place by next year. Not for anything but the hawks have one of the best defenses in the league and it's the same as the Bills. They just have a few better pieces. Remember we were a 4-3 got rid of that and went 3-4, got rid of the 4-3 players for 3-4 now converting back to a 4-3. Not a good situation but it is being addressed and should be much improved by next year. We need a new qb more than anything though. I do agree giving up so many points in two games is crazy but we also are getting a better LB corps as Moats and Morrison are no longer starters as our rookie has starting to step up and will be a beast. Sheppard needs to man up better and we will be fine. To have a great defense you need a good offense to help keep our defense off the field. That's how you get a great defense is they play half of the time as their offense. That has not happened yet. I feel that it will in time.
  15. I do have to agree that Glenn is a beast and just think he was not a good fit to be a LT according to the experts??? I also feel that Fitz does make the line look better as he gets rid of the ball quickly and very erratic. The good teams with good coaches that know how to plan can easily beat us like the jets, pats, san fran, because they all know the Bills can't throw deep without a pick so the cover down causing issues. Chan has tried to stop this but Fitz is not accurate enough to hit the deep ball so teams can plan accordingly. That being said I feel we have a great line as we can run the ball even though teams play down on us. Fitz will have to make a few plays past 7 yards a pop in order to stop this. If he can't then the team will start falling apart very fast. It's hard for 5 guys to stop 8 or 9 evry down. Chan needs to start looking at a new qb. Great lines need a decent qb to look good.
