  1. Have no clue what at all in kolbs history gives him a nood over Jackson to start, kolb can't take a hot to save his life. I don't think kolb makes it out of training camp on the roster!! If they believe Tjax can hold the fort till rookie is ready why on earth pay kolb to back up that much?? This ain't Seattle and Flynn. Kolb also doesn't quite fit the style of offense coach wants to run either!
  2. Stats only tell part of a story. Now before I continue let me say a couple things so no one thinks I'm some bobo! First I have been a Jackson fan since he came in the league, I like the guy, I don't think he has been treated fairly by Vikings at all. Second. I am not saying he is the next hof or even the bills next 5 yr starter, but I believe and know he is better than some or most give. Yes as someone mentioned he was injured last year, it was a torn pec on his throwing arm, he should have had surgery that is how bad it was, and frankly shouldn't have been able to throw a football. He has never been in a. Offense where throwing was #1 and running second, he always ran a run first, which would be reflected in the low number of TD passes. Also every year that he has started double digit games he has improved, u can look through his career and see that, even Seattle he improved. He can make plays, he is better than fritz, in fact even if he played at the same lvl fritz did but completed those downfield passes, u would have gone 8-8 last year if not better. Draft a rookie or 2 let them compete sit and learn fora year, and the new offense get bills to 8-8 at least. Feel free to flame away. I said all that to say, season isn't and won't be lost if Jackson starts whole season. Although some of u would like that anyways.
  3. Keep T jack, draft rookie, have legit competition and find a 3rd string qb. Jackson will give You more than fritz did. Plus a rookie can be groomed. I think this year with all the rookies starting was a fluke!! That trend will not continue.
  4. http://www.nfl.com/videos/tag/Tarvaris JacksonGo here scroll down its the 4th video I believe, the title is Lockette Up. View that, and tell me tavaris isn't an INSTANT upgrade over Fitz. He was playing about 70% with the arm, got leveled after releasing the ball, the whole time knowing he was gonna get laid out and still what a throw. If I was Jackson and saw fritz throw the "deep" ball like he does I would be speechless.. Not sure what else to say. Side note: video will not work on at least iPhones, not sure an any other phone.
  5. Great sentiment but this isn't college football it's the pro's, there are no moral victories.
  6. The more things change the more the stay the same... Regardless if we ran wrong route, in fact u watch he ran better route Fitz still threw the ball straight to a defender. The is the story of the game. Who cares if the announcers said the bills had a hot qb, what would u rather have a qb like Fritz today great stats but when it counted most epic fail or a qb who goes 10-25 yet on the last drive of the game gets the winning TD. I will take the latter.
  7. He doesn't get all the blame but he should get quite a bit of it. Let me see if I can explain it so it makes sense. First let me say the defense is playing horribly, now with that being said, every time the offense goes 3 and out or there is a turnover the defense has to take the field. Defenses are not designed to be on the field for 8 minute drives. Fritzs INT's impact the defense and in a major way. Take the last int he threw in this past game... The defense had already gotten the ball back for the bills, then in theirs minds this simply drive will Ice the game... It did not, that plays big time mentally as a group when u can't rely on ur qb to give u time to rest it hampers your ability to be effective. Forget 15 Td's really, and stats don't tell the whole story, so using qb ratings and all don't always work. Just like shaykh Jackson is the same because he has a 77.9 qb rating, when in fact if u have watched any of his games you realize he CAN make every throw in the book and has for the most part in his career!! I have heard on more than 1 occasion game announcer mention a throw Jackson made as only about 5-6 qb's in the league could make that throw. That alone is why Jackson is better than fritz, and it would be the first time Jackson would be playing with receivers that get open on virtually every play.
  8. I'm from Minnesota, and this is my short version of history. He was thrown in way too early... He was not ready. He was a pick from one of the most hated Vikings coaches in recent history, that hate quickly AND I mean quickly transferred into Jackson lap. He had Troy freak on Wilamson(however spelt) as his top receiver for a year or more. It was like giving ur 16 yr old keys to your Porsche and tell him to go race it on a road course. Fans hated him the day he was drafted and I am not joking. Each year Jackson has had 8+ games he has played in he has improved as a qb.
  9. Well I think if they lose tomorrow and the fans make a big enough stink and maybe gailey gets some real heat, then things will change. This notion that Jackson isn't ready is pure coach crap talk. Gailey knows no one would want thigpen in the game so he keeps Jackson 3rd string. Something has for to change and I don't think Arizona or titans are pushovers anymore, maybe they are waiting for the bye week. IF the bills can go 3-4 going into the bye then make change at qb put Jackson in and u still have a shot at the playoffs. Jackson almost beat New England when coming in for Farve if it wasn't for horrible hands by his wideouts!!!! Frankly Jackson has never thrown to wideouts who get open like the bills recievers seem to do quite often and well, or has he had a line like the bills have as well.
  10. Everyone keeps bringing up the defense in defense of fritz... Yes the defense has played horrible the last 2 games, but when ur qb turns the ball over and over again, your out there for a long time as a defense. What bothers me is I have yet to hear Fritz own up to his mistakes as a player, he has said the offense needs to do a Better job, but I haven't heard him say HE HIMSELF needs to take better care of the football as the leader of the offense. Not only that but a qb who gets worse when he has more time to throw makes absolutely no sense to me...
