At the game. Came very close to leaving at halftime as I live in the Albany area. On a side note: I had VCR'ed the game which was not on TV in Buffalo. I sent it back to Buffalo and it made the rounds.

I'll bet the Eagle fans are pissed at their inept coaching staff for not starting Foles from week one. Their record would have been better, They may have had a bye and therefore would not have lost yesterday. How can a Michael Vick start in front of a QB that has one of the four highest quarterback ratings ever? The only reason Foles got a chance to play was Vick got hurt.

Anyway, if the Bills were set on taking Manuel, why not trade out of the first round altogether? No one else was going to take this guy in the first. I think they blew an opportunity to pick up another higher 2nd rounder. Or take Eifert at 16 and Manuel in the 2nd

The only answer is "I am from WNY". There is no other answer. If you weren't you very likely wouldn't be a Bills fan. If there was such a stat as which team has gained the most fans not living within 100 miles of where the team plays I dare say the Bills would not fare very well. If you weren't from WNY and say relocated there for work do you honestly think you would become a Bills Fan. A lot of abuse for very little gain.Recently, a former player of our team (played within the past 5 years) asked me "why are you still a Bills fan?". He wasn't joking - he was being serious. I was blown away by that comment. I will allow him to remain anonymous. I don't want to get in trouble by sharing his name.
I live north of Albany and am a member of the Southern Saratoga Bills backers. Every year for the first few games well over 100 fans show up to see games not on local tv. By November the number of fans is under 25, with some games at 15 die hards or so.
So the players question is legitimate as I would guess he is not from WNY and therefore does not bleed Buffalo Bills blue.

There may be one quarterback who will start. The question is which one considering ten or so will be drafted.Completely disagree. Another year of Fitz will produce exactly the same results as the past two years. He is not capable of getting it done. He had his shot and he failed. I'm sure that there will be at least one QB in this draft that can start right away. More than likely there is more than one. Sign a veteran FA and draft the best QB available. Cut both Fitz and Thigpen. Time to move on.

I get the USC thing also even though many people can't. When the qb's from a school are 0 for 10 or so there is a concern.
One thing bothers me about Barkley - he had what many would consider the best wide receivers in college. Didn't seem to help him.

Here is possibly the major good thing about "Saint Polian" - The ability to attract a quality head coach. Don't underestimate this. Right now anyone with an option would go elsewhere. Even some without a head coaching option as evidenced by Shottenheimer's kid with the last opening when Gailey was hired.So when Saint Polian takes over, when does Luck/Manning get here?

I am not saying Polian is good or bad but..... what GM would look bad with the first pick in the draft and seeing Peyton Manning standing there. What else has he done for the team. Indy has not had a good running back. Peyton made the receivers. Defense was average at best. Feeney who he drafted the only star. Remove Manning from Indy, they are a .500 team and Polian may have been gone a long time ago.
Look at Denver - now a Super Bowl favorite according to many people with one major change from last year. Manning in for Tebow.
If Polian could get us a quarterback rated in the top 10, I say bring him on. Stevie Johnson would have 125 catches with a good QB and think every day is Christmas.

There are two things about this win over this "unbelievably poor Arizona team" that many do not realize:
1. The Cardinals beat the Patriots in New England
2. The Cardinals had won 8 games in a row at home. First 3 this year and last 5 in 2011
So although they are the Arizona Cardinals, this was a good win on the road.

I agree with Sullivan. NBC basically asked "why did Mario sign with such a loser organization that will never make the playoffs". Take the money and run?? This was an opportunity to defend his teammates and the organization.
The whole defense was concerning starting with the scheme this week - seemed to be no rush, just contain and play off the wide receivers. So there is the defense for Mario's play. However he seems very passive to say the least.
1. Mario says in the article "Like I said, by any means necessary. I've got to take care of it, put everything to the side, and try to get to the quarterback" TRY TO GET TO THE QUARTERBACK????
2.if a kid playing freshman football came home and said the tackle was doing what the Jets tackle did, most if not all responsible parents would say knock he hand away or do what it takes if the refs are not going to call it.
3. What do you think Bruce would have done? How about Kyle Williams? How about any NFL football player?
I am hoping Mario got home and went across the street to Jim Kelly's house. I got to believe Kelly would have had some motivating words for Mario.

You guys are the BEST..
I have had Direct TV for 2 years and my initial contract is up the end of this month. I went on chat and said "My contract is up. I would like the best deal you have right now" After a couple minutes of small talk I was given an 800 number with a pin for retention. After about 5 minutes of small talk he offered me $30 off per month for 12 months. I thanked him, told him how much I appreciated what he did for me and said can you do anything with Sunday Ticket. He checked and gave it to me for free. So over the next year I get $360 off my bill plus Sunday ticket at no cost. Also my contract expires next July again. Life is good.
