I can't, really.  It seems to fall within the "two steps" rule.  Rudolph clearly sees Garrett coming and dumps the ball off quickly.  But Garrett has a full head of steam and is only two steps away when Rudolph throws, maybe takes one more step and as you say, has his head to the side to come in with a textbook wrap and roll.

Garrett could probably have pulled up in some manner, and similar "roughing" plays have been called (with clap back and controversy), but it's just not any sort of egregious late hit.   Didn't drive his helmet into him, didn't drive him into the ground, didn't land with his weight on him.

    In my opinion, anyway.

But again, that's all moot.  QB get hit late, players get chippy, helmets come off, that's all part of football.

The part that isn't part of football and that can't become part of football is clocking another player in the un-helmeted head with a weapon (helmet).

You are exactly right. Everything is moot except Garrett swinging the helmet.

The point of this thread is Kitchens. I would like someone to name a head coach past or present (besides Rex who we all know is a complete a-hole) who would wear the shirt Kitchens wore no matter who was at fault. Kitchens is a F***ing moron. No other way to put it.

Cleveland and Buffalo fans have gone through many of the same trials and tribulations over the past several decades. I really believe we can understand them and they can understand us. They thought this was their year. Kitchens has strained their loyalty with this being the cherry on top.  They are realizing they may have 'Rex Jr". Not a good feeling as we know. I am so glad we have McDermott. Sean is class plain and simple.

Been to a lot of away games including multiple at NYJ.  If you behave yourself the chances of there being an issue are very small.

If youre really concerned pony up for nicer seats. The more expensive the seat the less likely you are to have an issue. But I would not be worried myself.

Exactly. The better the seat, the less trouble. I have been to the last 4 or 5 Bills at Jets games. Many night affairs. We have always sat around the 30 yard line and basically no issues. No matter where you go, you will get a wise guy once in a while.

Before the game in the parking lot, it has always been cordial wherever I have seen an away game - Jets included. After the game, leave and don't look to mingle.

To put it in perspective - Would you recommend someone go to a Bills home game wearing the other team colors and sit in the end zone?

    Exactly.

This thread is basically patting Beane on the back for cutting a bunch of players who made a lot of money.

Lots of skill required for that. ?

Making the decision to cut the players who should be cut and make a lot of money, does take a fair amount of skill. I haven't seen many go on to be stars elsewhere.

  4. If White is available, the Bills draft him. Edmunds goes outside. Edmunds showed very good ability rushing the passer last year. This is a no brainer.

On another note - how many moronic low class replies does one have to read regarding going to 3-4 defense. OK, not a good idea. But then, Half the big time posters have to prove how smart they are with halfa$$ cynical responses. Classless.

The TV stations have a lot of advertising $ invested in these games.  They study the market better than we fans do & would not be putting up games that they thought could be ratings duds.  Their hierarchy is clearly a top 3 of Giants-Jets-Bills in that order.  For the most part, the Patriots are an afterthought.

I agree with you except this week the Bills game was bumped in Syracuse, Utica etc. Doesn't make much sense to bump the game there. Especially when the game is put on in Albany. I have been told the decision is made out of town.

One other thing - If we polled the bar owners in the Albany market, they would want the Bills to bumped as often as possible. Bar owners in Central NY most likely had a banner Sunday afternoon.

FWIW - I know people in both Saratoga and Rensselaer counties.  They claim lots of Pats fans in both places.  You're pretty much right next to New England.  It would make sense.

I live in Saratoga county. There are more fans dressed in Bills clothes than Jets or Patriots. There are more cars with Bills plates or other Bills stuff on them than the others. You see very few Jets clothing or auto "stuff".

No doubt the Giants are #1.

The advantage we have with Fox televising the game over other NY State cities is that the owners of Albany's Fox station also televise the Bills preseason games.  I'm guessing the Bills preseason games aren't on the Fox station in Syracuse.  Even though the Jets have a bigger fan base than the Bills, only the Giants & Bills had their preseason games on TV in Albany.  Even with all their winning seasons and being a lot closer than Buffalo, NE is still a distant 4th in the market here, but they did con a radio station into carrying their games while the Bills haven't been on Albany radio in years.  At one time the Bills were carried on Albany's strongest radio station that you can get pretty far along the east coast.  As soon as we start winning again, Bills games will return to Albany radio.  The ranking of fans in Albany is: 1) NYG 2) NYJ 3)Bills 4) NE 5)Whichever team is in vogue to jump on their bandwagon.  The reason the Bills rank 3rd is even though we're influenced by NYC, because there is a combination of students & state employees who came here from WNY (and some of the students stayed) we'll always stay ahead of NE in the fanbase because there aren't a lot of New Englanders in Albany compared with WNY refugees.

I am not saying you are wrong, but where do you get the ranking information?

  8. It would be interesting if the people responding to this topic actually read the article and watched the video. Too many "The writer probably looked at the completion percentage without watching the whole game and thought he was throwing inaccurately and making poor decisions." or I didn't read the article but.....

The writer actually had high praise for Josh - ability to handle pressure, running ability including breaking tackles, arm strength.

For areas to work on here is what he wrote " But he’s not a perfect player, and I cover that in the video, too. My biggest concern with Allen are his slow eyes and accuracy. I have no idea if either will get better. While some say both can be improved significantly with reps and tweaking of fundamentals, there are others who say it’s easier said than done."

You probably watch several NFL games every weekend.  Does it make you a better NFL QB?

Watching didn't help EJ, or Cardale Jones, or Peterman for that matter.

Players learn by playing.  Edmunds plays the most demanding position on defense.  Nobody made him sit and learn.

Tell that to Andy Reid and Patrick Mahones.

    I did confirm....through chat.

I actually thought that is what it was so I started a chat and was told that I had the sunday ticket max for all inclusive for $17 for 6 months.

I just went to my programming and it shows NFL Sunday Ticket 2018 at $0.00. What do you think - Am I missing something or will a "price" appear later? I also can add Max for $102.

I'm not saying he's Peyton Manning. But our other options are Nathan "Pick Six" Peterman. A Rookie. Or unproven AJ McCarron. With Cutler, we at least know what we're getting.

A QB with a positive attitude second to none.

If the QBs go as high as the media mavens predict they will, Smith will be available at 12.  If the QBs don't go as high as predicted, then there will be 1 or 2 available for the Bills to pick -- if they want one of them, and they might not.

As I've said numerous times, we don't know how the Bills have the QBs rated.  I don't think the Bills will move up for "a" QB as the Jests apparently are willing to do.  I think if they're willing to trade up, it's for a specific QB, which means that they won't trade up before the team they have as a partner is on the clock and their guy is available.   Of course, it may be that neither Cleveland nor Giants is interested in trading out of their spots except for far more than the Bills are willing to give.   If they can't find a partner or their QB is off the board, then they're going to go BPA at another position, which certainly Smith would be.

Whatever the outcome, the Bills need to cross their Ts and dot their Is, and be prepared for contingencies since drafts seldom go the way the hypesters in the media claim it will.

    Exactly

  13. Many people want to trade down to get one of the four coveted QBs. Coveted by who? Is it possible or even likely the Bills "covet" less than all four QBs?

    • Allen has many issues. Some scouts say he should not even be a first round pick.
    • Rosen may be a medical risk
    • Mayfield's personality may not mesh

My point is, the trade up many on this board are jumping to do may not be something the Bills are willing to do if the one to four QBs they covet are off the board. This isn't a pick the last of the four QBs because we covet them all as a value at the top of the first round.
