  1. Thanks for the thoughts Virgil.  Appreciate you taking this on and continuing this post.

I'm just confused now if I'm still supposed to give up on the season, or have some hope?  ?

Coaches need to figure out how to get something out of this WR corps.  Seriously - you are an NFL receiver - show some effort and skill and make catches that any receiver should make.   Would like to see them go to Ray Ray and Croom more, keep bombing to Foster and eventually he's bound to catch one ?

Was great to see the defense continue where they left off since the 2nd half of Chargers game.  Gives hope that is the real defense - and the first 3 Qs was the anomaly.  The front 7 was dominant - we had a starting corner who was on the PS last week!

Ivory looked good in his back up RB role - ran hard, protected the ball, and still has the skill/ability to break one

STs actually made some plays to down kicks this week too.  Progress.

Bills twitter had the Bills not showing up in Minn, looks like Minn didn't either

BTW - Cowher gushing about McD on post-game show - praising him as leader of men

Agree with you ! Don't know what to think, but any positives this season should mean good things going forward these next two seasons.

  2. Watched the game with a group of Eagles, Panthers, and Giants fans at a friends house.  (3 TVs going at once with 3 different games).

The crowd didn't know Josh Allen well before the game, but they all knew his name after the game.

General consensus was he reminded them of a blend of Cam Newton and John Elway during today's game.

    GoBills!  Go Josh Allen!

Allen already embracing Daboll's coaching: "I love it"

The Bills' offensive coordinator did a lot of one-on-one teaching last weekend

    SAL CAPACCIO

After almost every play on the first day of rookie minicamp Friday, Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll went straight to the team’s prized first-round quarterback.  He could be seen mostly going over footwork and sometimes arm mechanics, as well, with Josh Allen.

But it was never a one-way conversation.  Allen listened, then talked, then listened again before retreating back to the huddle for the next play.

Anything that he says, I take that very dearly. I want to be molded by him and just anything that he says, for me (I need) to grasp that concept of whatever he’s talking about, embed it into my mind, and then carry it out and do it on the field.”

That early learning and improving from day-to-day, pass-to-pass, is more important to head coach Sean McDermott right now than completing passes or throwing touchdowns.  It’s all part of “the process,” of course.

Beginning with Jordan Palmer and continuing with the Buffalo Bills staff, this might be the first time that Allen has been coached this technically on how to throw a football.

Brian Daboll was the TE coach for the Pats before going to Bama. He was in line for the OC job with Pats if McDaniels left last year. He didn’t, so Daboll took the OC job there. Sabana and Belichik are tight. Prior to that he was OC for Browns. I don’t think he’s ever been out of football since he was a GA at MSU under Saban right out of college.

    Thanks for that info YOLO.

That post is just as nuts as the thread you are referring to was. I can see why you're mad it is gone. The way you'd talk about family, wow. They're probably all of those traits because of the person your wife married, douche.

Anyone who refers to family staying with them as hosting, housing, and feeding like they are cattle is 100% trash in my book. I wouldn't be surprised if you were double d himself.

the topic was posted with an intended sense of levity and humor.  Either way the referenced thread is back up for the enjoyment of all.  Happy New Year

  6. The mods have determined that 135 pages of a thread were no longer contributing positively to the forum atmosphere and discussion.  I respectfully disagree and beg to differ!

I have been hosting, housing and feeding  my father in law, my mother in law and my sister in law for the past three days and nights in the spirit of Christmas.  These are passive aggressive, narcissistic, know it all types.  They are also still mad at me and my wife for not choosing to spend Thanksgiving with them.

The "more from OBD" thread was a safe space, free from in law triggered hostilities in a house full of judgement.  I am sad to see it, the humor, and the discussion contained within go into banishment.

    RIP More From OBD

  7. The key is will they miss the playoffs? Even at 10-6 or 9-7 they could still miss the playoffs depending on where other teams finish. We really need Denver to bounce back and the Raiders to continue to develope. Any pick under 20 to go along with ours would be great.

Agree with you on all points. Need Denver and Raiders to both at least split with KC. If either beats KC twice, KC might miss playoffs.
