Watched the game with a group of Eagles, Panthers, and Giants fans at a friends house. (3 TVs going at once with 3 different games).
The crowd didn't know Josh Allen well before the game, but they all knew his name after the game.
General consensus was he reminded them of a blend of Cam Newton and John Elway during today's game.
GoBills! Go Josh Allen!

Allen already embracing Daboll's coaching: "I love it"
The Bills' offensive coordinator did a lot of one-on-one teaching last weekendSAL CAPACCIO
After almost every play on the first day of rookie minicamp Friday, Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll went straight to the team’s prized first-round quarterback. He could be seen mostly going over footwork and sometimes arm mechanics, as well, with Josh Allen.
But it was never a one-way conversation. Allen listened, then talked, then listened again before retreating back to the huddle for the next play.
Anything that he says, I take that very dearly. I want to be molded by him and just anything that he says, for me (I need) to grasp that concept of whatever he’s talking about, embed it into my mind, and then carry it out and do it on the field.”
That early learning and improving from day-to-day, pass-to-pass, is more important to head coach Sean McDermott right now than completing passes or throwing touchdowns. It’s all part of “the process,” of course.

Beginning with Jordan Palmer and continuing with the Buffalo Bills staff, this might be the first time that Allen has been coached this technically on how to throw a football.

Brian Daboll was the TE coach for the Pats before going to Bama. He was in line for the OC job with Pats if McDaniels left last year. He didn’t, so Daboll took the OC job there. Sabana and Belichik are tight. Prior to that he was OC for Browns. I don’t think he’s ever been out of football since he was a GA at MSU under Saban right out of college.
Thanks for that info YOLO.

I was probably a bit harsh... my bad, it's just how I am. Happy New Year my apologies, it probably came off worse than I intended.
Apology accepted, and I should have been more clear that I was being facetious with the posted topic.

That post is just as nuts as the thread you are referring to was. I can see why you're mad it is gone. The way you'd talk about family, wow. They're probably all of those traits because of the person your wife married, douche.
Anyone who refers to family staying with them as hosting, housing, and feeding like they are cattle is 100% trash in my book. I wouldn't be surprised if you were double d himself.
the topic was posted with an intended sense of levity and humor. Either way the referenced thread is back up for the enjoyment of all. Happy New Year

Eagles Fans. They don't believe me that Carson Wentz won't be 100% to start next season. Even though I rehab ACL injuries as part of my job. It's that's kind of Christmas fun.

The mods have determined that 135 pages of a thread were no longer contributing positively to the forum atmosphere and discussion. I respectfully disagree and beg to differ!
I have been hosting, housing and feeding my father in law, my mother in law and my sister in law for the past three days and nights in the spirit of Christmas. These are passive aggressive, narcissistic, know it all types. They are also still mad at me and my wife for not choosing to spend Thanksgiving with them.
The "more from OBD" thread was a safe space, free from in law triggered hostilities in a house full of judgement. I am sad to see it, the humor, and the discussion contained within go into banishment.
RIP More From OBD

Thank you for the thoughts Virgil. Great to see the Bills still in it this late in the season. Today's victory over the Dolphins just might help to re ignite the old rivalry.

Going into the season, I was among the many writing this season off as part of a rebuild/ retooling effort.
8-6?!?! Could knock me over with a feather. More than half of these players weren't on the roster last year. Combine that with new coaches, new front office. The future looks bright no matter what happens the next two weeks.

Going 4-2 to this point in the season, and being able to out score Tampa Bay, all while having 6 picks in the first 3 rounds of the 2018 draft is fantastic.
Finally, after so many seasons where the Bills appeared clueless, this team finally has achieved "organizational competence" and appears headed for good things in this season and in seasons to come.
Go Bills!

That darn clap can be hard to get rid of, even with the proper treatment.

Great pick on Zay Jones. My guess is the Panthers would have taken him. The Bills probably thought they had to get ahead of them for sure.
Jones is another pick with strong credentials in leadership (captain), and intelligence. Starting to see a trend in who McDermott likes to pick.

you got a (consensual) piece. And you still won. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more.
This whole song needs re writing!
The music video alone could contend for awards.

Gareon. My wayward son.
I see what you did there....well played Yolo

I think it's Zay Jones or Reuben Foster

Zay Jones WR from ECU might be our target at 27

The key is will they miss the playoffs? Even at 10-6 or 9-7 they could still miss the playoffs depending on where other teams finish. We really need Denver to bounce back and the Raiders to continue to develope. Any pick under 20 to go along with ours would be great.

Agree with you on all points. Need Denver and Raiders to both at least split with KC. If either beats KC twice, KC might miss playoffs.

Took a quick look at KC schedule. Looks like a 9-7 or 10-6 campaign for them in 2017.

nflpa error
Bills should file a complaint and demand a draft pick in return
Would they get a "comp pick"?

Stop trying to get your old job back FITZ!
Hahahaha!
My QB performance would have us wishing we had Fitzy.

I took an online Wonderlic....scored a 48. While drinking.
Of course this high score is off set by my lack of height, a non NFL level arm, and the fact that I am not very fast.
-
It's weird because he was the best QB in that draft and the best backup QB in the NFL, and now nothing? A Russian conspiracy is the only explanation I have.
I enjoyed you laying this down, letting the sarcasm marinate, and then not replying to those who read it literally. Well played

dude, he doesn't need to steal ozzie's book. he just needs to be privy to it. just a lil' bit o' privy-ness. once doug gets privy to that damn book, it's gonna be on like a mofo.
. Thanks for that laugh!!

Thanks for the thoughts Virgil. Appreciate you taking this on and continuing this post.
Agree with you ! Don't know what to think, but any positives this season should mean good things going forward these next two seasons.
