Fair. But the trajectory looks very promising. Regardless, I hope you agree that he was clearly the best receiver on the field in the KC playoff game. If Chris Jones doesn’t bull Dion into Josh, he gets the potentially game winning TD on a great route.
Oh he was good in that game.

100 percent. This is a great post because I remember that and I know the Bills loved Roethlisberger.
Shakir, I think we can all agree, is now good. He was the best receiver on the field in the Bills-KC game for both teams.
When he gives us a full season of greatness I'll believe it.

so how do we know hes a bad talent evaluator at WR?
Davis was a 4th rd. not my fav player of all time, but i think most would agree he lived up to a 4th rd pick
Khalil Shakir in the 5th, that looks pretty good
Kincaid looks good, hes a TE, but a pass catcher
Justin Shorter, we dunno anything about, but thats a 5th rd flyer on a big body
from a small sample size looks pretty solid, no?
They have done..... nothing.
Small sample size that have done nothing. Shakir might be good. He might not be. But as of now the bills have a bottom third wr room, and the fault lies at the feet of one person.

Dave beat me to it, but the truth is that Beane has never drafted a receiver higher than the 4th round so how can anyone say he can't evaluate them!
That Shakir kid looks ok...
Why do you figure that is, when there's been a need at the position for at least three seasons

He traded for Diggs and got multiple all-pro seasons out of him! Gabe Davis had excellent production for a fourth (just look at fourth round receivers from the last decade and compare).
Davis was his best DRAFTED receiver, and he was average, all things considered.
Can't say he evaluated Diggs who was an established veteran. It's one thing to bring in an FA. It's another to draft a dude.

Just never know but as buffalobill said, Beane has done well for us in the past.
Except at receiver
he's absolutely atrocious at evaluating receiver.

I'll be excited but nervous about him. He excites me as a player. He doesn't sound like the same type of "process" Buffalo Bills guy the other 2 guys are. With Diggs gone, I want the most team first Elite WR we can get.
It's so funny the levels of disappointment you guys are going to set yourselves up for.
There is a ZERO chance of the Bills landing Odunze, Nabers or Harrison. ZERO.

I'm telling you, they're going defense.
It'll be a panic pick when WRs get taken before them.

I'm going out on a limb, the pick will either be a white CB, and undersized LB or a DT

I'm just glad it's here so the draft-industrial complex will go away for another 10 months or so

None of those draft classes had the ridiculous riches at the WR position that this one does tho.
Every draft is different. Can't really just compare them on their face.
It's not nearly as rich as you think. It's three deep for top tier, and drops off pretty quickly after that.

Yeah, trying to injure people from the backside away from the play really shows toughness.
I didn't say toughness, I said dirty.
