  1. Russian TV keeps replaying Trump , Pompeo and Tucker Carlson praising Putin who is the scum of the earth. I might be biased having some Ukraine relatives.
  2. McConnell lowering the Senate confirmation vote for SC from 60 to 50 you will get extremes when either party is in power. Trump put 3 justices thru with only a majority. At least with 60 votes the person needs to be acceptable to both parties and be semi moderate.
  3. Ukrainian soldier responds to Russian warning: 'Russian warship, go f*** yourself' (when told to surrender) An audio tape of an exchange between the Ukrainian soldiers on an island in the Black Sea and an officer of the Russian Navy has emerged. All of the soldiers - who were defending Snake Island - are reported to have been killed, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. This audio has been confirmed and verified as authentic by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry. As war breaks out in Europe, China blames the US China's Assistant Foreign Minister Hua Chunying was quick to point the finger at the US, implying that Washington was a "culprit" for "fanning up flames," referring to US warnings in recent weeks of an imminent invasion. 5. Ukraine did nothing to provoke Russia. You are reading too much into my question. NATO would rather have Ukraine to stay neutral so as not to put Russia on a hair trigger . jmo
  6. Why did Russia invade Ukraine , simple question.
  7. What did Ukraine do to deserve a invasion by Russia ?
  8. 0-4 against last place in NHL Montreal
  9. Yep 2 nuclear super powers starting WWlll is not a good idea.
  10. Ukraine should agree to stay neutral and not join NATO if Russia will leave now. It's not worth fighting over the 2 provinces that are mainly Russian speaking. Putin is ruthless at this point.
  11. By now it may be too late to send enough military equipment to Ukraine . Russia will become a real outcast for the West if they go further then the 2 provinces. The present NATO countries should be safe I would hope. Cyber warfare could be a big problem . China criticizes Western sanctions on Russia China has criticized Western sanctions on Russia and said it will not follow suit, calling the measures "never a fundamental and effective way to solve problems” and saying it "always opposes any illegal unilateral sanctions." https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-news/ukraine-russia-news-02-23-22/index.html

  13. I was just going to ask what would Trump do in the Ukraine situation , now we know.
  14. If people in those two provinces want they can immigrate to Russia . Those in Crimea should also immigrate to Russia , both places belong to Ukraine no matter what Putin says.

  16. Niagara Falls: 3,160 tons of water flows over Niagara Falls every second. This accounts for 75,750 gallons of water per second over the American and Bridal Veil Falls and 681,750 gallons per second over the Horseshoe Falls. https://www.niagarafallsstatepark.com/niagara-falls-state-park/amazing-niagara-facts Water flows out of Lake Ontario through the St. Lawrence River on its way to the Atlantic Ocean. All that excess fresh water goes to the Atlantic Ocean or am I missing something. It would be at Calif. expense to to take that excess. Should still leave plenty of flow on the St Lawrence to also run the Massena Power dam https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses-Saunders_Power_Dam
  17. The woman, Kelly Smiley, tweeted Wednesday night that she suffered a fractured spine and her cameras broke. She didn't say whether the Staffords eventually offered assistance. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/matthew-stafford-rams-super-bowl-photographer/v9rfahd7aw8c9kdkleiodxd0 Stafford saw her fall and told Kelly to take care of it A injury that serious you let paramedics take care of her.
  18. I'm old , watched it , not my type of music but happy for those who enjoyed it.
  19. Putin does not want NATO on his border if Ukraine becomes a member. If Russia takes Ukraine the countries next to it are already in NATO. Just leave Ukraine and Belarus neutral and we are not on a hair trigger .

  22. Covid really screwed up the supply chain , caused massive early retirements and labor shortage. The buck does stop with Biden and Congress who will pay big in midterms.
  23. A giant donut-shaped machine just proved a near-limitless clean power source is possible There's no silver bullet to the climate crisis, but nuclear fusion may be the closest thing to it. In the quest for a near-limitless, zero-carbon source of reliable power, scientists have generated fusion energy before, but they have struggled for decades to sustain it for very long. On Wednesday, however, scientists working in the United Kingdom announced that they more than doubled the previous record for generating and sustaining nuclear fusion, which is the same process that allows the sun and stars to shine so brightly. Fusion, on the other hand, is much safer, can produce little waste and requires only small amounts of abundant, naturally-sourced fuel, including elements extracted from seawater. This makes it an attractive option as the world transitions away from the fossil fuels driving climate change. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/09/uk/nuclear-fusion-climate-energy-scn-intl/index.html It might be in the future
