I'm not a big hockey fan but I definitely like that Lindy said he's going to bring some discipline. Players these days are all soft.

When do the Bills announce their red helmet????

I don't think there's a single reason why firearm deaths are increasing. It's probably a confluence of multiple factors.
However, we do know ways to reduce them:
- Child-access prevention laws reduce total firearm self-injuries (including suicides) among young people
- Child-access prevention laws reduce firearm homicides or firearm assault injuries among young people
- Child-access prevention laws reduce unintentional firearm injuries and deaths among children
- Stand Your Ground laws *increase* total homicide rates, including firearm homicide rates
- Shall-issue concealed carry laws increase firearm homicides
- Dealer background checks and universal background checks reduce homicides
- Minimum age of purchase laws reduce firearm suicides
- Waiting periods reduce rates of firearm suicide and total homicide
- Gun possession prohibitions associated with domestic violence may reduce intimate partner homicides
If you want to go micro, you might learn that rural countries have a 37% higher rate of firearm deaths than most urban counties.
I would be for a lot of common sense laws. The reason others are not is a distrust in the government where if you give an inch they take a mile. Look at race or gay rights issues. When I was a kid it was let's make it so everyone is equal. Now it's all about how we aren't equal so they need equity. If we give in to tough gun laws then next will be gun confiscations. I wish we could all get along and do the right things but there is big divide between pro and anti gun groups. When the president says he's going to take your guns then no wonder people have dug their heels in

Keeping in mind that the reason the Australian stabbing made international news is because of how rare mass killings are there, here's just some examples of how it goes when someone tries a mass killing in Texas:
- 2017: 26 year old Air Force vet opened fire at a church, killing 26 people
- 2017: 32 year old man opens fire at a football watch party, killing 8
- 2018: 17 year old killed 10 people at a high school near Huston
- 2019: 36 year old started randomly shooting people between Midland and Odessa, killing 7
- 2019: 21 year old opened fire at a Walmart, killing 22
- 2022: 18 year old kills 21 at Uvalde Elementary School
- 2023: Gunman kills 8 in mall shooting
Also, keep in mind that even in a country with so many guns:
- self-defense gun use occurs in only 1% of shootings.
- More guns equals more gun homicides: for every 1% increase in gun ownership, the firearm homicide rate increased by 0.9%
- States with higher rates of gun ownership have disproportionately large numbers of firearm related homicides
So yeah, if someone wanted to kill a bunch of people in Texas, they'd just get a gun and mow people down.
They could also get a car and run people over or do a suicide bombing. What's your point? That you can use a gun to kill a lot of people? I would argue that there are much easier ways. So let's ban cars right? Makes a lot of sense. There used to not be a lot of mass casualty events in this country as well. But meanwhile there was always guns. So what changed?

And, IMO, McConkey is about as close to a skill set to Diggs as there is. Size, route running, and McConkey is a bit faster.I think a big knock on McConkey was his ability to fight through man coverage at the line. Thus he would play more in the slot at the next level. If you are playing the Diggs role then you are out there on an island and you need to be able to get off the line. I think he's best served in the slot. But agree to disagree

It depends on what you want. Do you want another small slot guy or do you want a big strong blocking guy? Or do you get someone like AD Mitchell to play the Diggs role? I like McConkey but I think we already have some McConkey's on the team and we need a Gabe or Diggs replacement

He almost always trades up like 2-3 spots for absolutely no reason. Remember when he traded up for Elam because we just had to have him? That was fun. I'd expect a trade to 22-25 just because

One of the most important lessons I learned as a young person was that I was dumb and naive and lacked life experience. The problem is that these kids think they know better and they don't realize how dumb they actually are. They will eventually grow up (hopefully). But I always encourage young people to find a mentor. People who have "made it" in life love talking about themselves and will gladly teach you lessons on how they became successful.

Agreed. It’d be a hell of a lot more. There would be 1 and he would be going to the morgue and not prison. But they would never release the manifesto about how he's a he-she who identifies as a unicorn and it's all Trump's fault

90% of you couldn't complete a pass with nobody there except you and the super fast receiver that gets 10 yards down the field in less than 2 seconds. Now add in the 6'4" OL that you can't see over, the 300 pound DL running full speed towards you, and 65,000 people watching. There's definitely an art to it all. Good luck!

The only sure thing WR in this draft is MHJ. Bills have 0% chance at getting him. Even if they mortgaged their future to somehow get to 8-10 to pick Odunze, he's not a sure thing imo. Obviously very talented but so were some of those other guys as mentioned. He might have a good career but maybe not superstar level.
Don't worry, I only have the Bills winning 9-10 games this year. They might have a top 20 pick next year plus Vikings 2 and their own 2 means 3 picks in the top 50 or so. I think they should let the chips fall as they may this year and reload next year.

If they cap the fees they will make it up elsewhere like with higher annual fees or by declining anyone with a history of late payments. Socialism doesn't work. Let the companies do whatever they want and the market will decide who wins

The irony that this thread exists considering the CULT has done nothing to help curb price gouging and wants to do nothing to help out the little guy.
Your guy has been President for 4 years. And in that time basically everything doubled in price. Now you want 4 more years of this? We will be standing in bread lines by then
