  1. The Panthers radio guys just said and I quote, "Kelly Holcomb throws like a girl."

Hahaha. It took less than a quarter for the Carolina announcers to discover what we've known for the past year. When you have a noodle for an arm, it doesn't just effect the deep throws.

  2. JP will be the starter. It's been beaten to death that Holcomb can only get us so far and we need to find out about JP.

I think starting Holcomb on the road against one of last year's best defenses is an excellent move by Jauron. JP gets some practice against the first team D, most practice against the second team D, then he gets to start at home against the Bengals D. Sounds like a pretty savy move to me in order to set JP up to succeed, unlike the previous regime which seemed to set him up to fail.

  3. I always find it interesting when these columnists for national magazine come to camp for a day and then have to write an article about it. For people who follow their team, it becomes immediately obvious that these guys don't know jack **** about the team they're visiting.

Case in point, besides all the obvious declarations in Banks' article, doesn't he also refer to Josh Reed as the definitive #2 receiver on this team? Anyone with a passing knowledge of the Bills will know what Josh has gone through over the past few years and understand that calling him the #2 at this point is just ridiculous.

I'm surprised Don didn't refer to Coy Wire as the #1 safety on the team.

  4. Unfortunately, SNF has that hideous clown, Andrea Kramer, walking the sidelines. If you aren't going to put some eye candy at the most useless reporting job ever, why even bother? I read that CBS and ESPN are getting rid of the sideline reporters. Thank god.

  5. It's Saban, from the media point of view he's second only to Belichek in the "Can-do-no-wrong" department. He's already been annointed genius status by many idiots. This will be portrayed as excellent negotiating technique by the Dolphins brain trust because everyone is jumping on the Miami bandwagon again.

    Fark Miami, Fark NE

  6. In order to see the games in high def on the Sunday ticket, you need a high def direct-tv receiver (either with Tivo or stand alone), the Sunday Ticket package, AND the extra Sunday Ticket High Def package (I forgot what they call it, but its separate from the Sunday Ticket)

When DirectTV first had HD NFL games, it was included in the Sunday Ticket package. That was not the case last year, it was an extra fee to get most of the games in HD. I keep bending over, and DirecTV keeps giving it to me, but I still keep paying.

Now, as a previous poster said, if you have an over the air HD antenna you can pick up an OTA signals that are being broadcast. Where I am (in RI), I can get OTA Providence and Boston high def stations so its pretty cool.

The DirectTV HD-Tivo receiver is the best out there. It integrates my OTA antenna right into the DirecTV programming guide so its easy to switch between OTA and DirectTV stations.

I think this year you have to give a testicle to DirectTV to get the Sunday Ticket in high def, I'm currently looking for a scalpel.

  7. The national press will make it out to be that Belichick is a genious, that he wanted someone who's "on the edge" in order to spark his d-line. Any other team in the NFL would get ridiculed and laughed at, but hey, its NE.

That being said, less than an ounce of pot, no big deal.

  8. I thought that was the whole point of the internet, to have a forum where anonymous people can throw verbal darts around in order to feel better about themselves in a number of interesting ways.

Like this thread, we have a guy expressing his admiration for some no-name celebrity and the he gets offended because someone makes fun of a medical "condition". Priceless. If anything at least it makes for some interesting Sunday AM reading.

  9. I like to think they could force a game 7. The thing that troubles me is that for the past 2 games, the opportunities have been there but the pucks haven't gotten in the net. This game should have been won 3 times before JP got that penalty, Afinagenov's break away and two point blank chances in OT. Also, the lack of power play production troubles me.

Anything can happen. This is still a very good team, I just hope they're not done. I like our chances in a game 7 if we can get there.

  10. One thing I noticed is that with every catch you had another receiver throwing blocks or interference down field. You see Bebe, Loftin, Edwards, etc. putting in the extra E to make plays happen. I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing Moulds throwing a lot of blocks for other receivers on the field. I may be a bit biased after his "pack it in" season of 05.

  11. I'm 35. The Bills have been a daily thought for me since I can remember. I enjoy other sports, especially hockey because of the Sabres, but not even on the same planet as my passion for Bills football

It's my emotional connection to the city I grew up in and love and by extension, the team that represents us, that drives my passion for the Bills.

If this team moves, it no longer represents my city, so I wouldn't give a flying fark about it.

That being said, I don't think the team is going anywhere. When they finally win the big one, I'll be in the stands crying like a little B word and I hope my parents (who have had season tix since the rockpile) are still alive to enjoy it.

  12. The key for Buffalo to beat NE is to line up and knock the shiat out of them on both sides of the ball. It's that simple. I doubt we have the lines for that at this point, but a couple of big guys with attitudes would go a long way. All game planning and strategizing goes to hell when you dominate the lines.
