Coaching matters! Yet, Josh and Sam use the same offseason coach? Maybe Josh’s eternal make up is better than Darnold’s....Darnold didn’t have Allen’s struggles. Top QB in high school went to top college and had a WR cast and RB that are all in the NFL. Allen had none of that, we all know his story. Allen just simply has more heart and talent.

I still want to see Roberts and Isaiah return punts together, where one is the returner and one is a decoy to split coverage.

It will be nice playing against a team that doesn’t get extra rest and extra prep time after 3 in a row.

We do need that vet on D, Kurt Coleman was That guy last year. We need to see the Defense improve for the next two games.

These idiots are fascinating, they will watch 60 minutes of football to say, ‘look he missed a receiver here’ or ‘he fumbled it when Aaron Donald rag dolled him’ which the majority of QBs wouldn’t survive. They can’t admit they are wrong.

I can still see Miami winning 7-9 games. They just opened up against a team they had little info on in NE and Buffalo, who they have struggled against since McDermott got there. They’ll beat at least 2 NFC West teams and finish 3-3 in the AFC east (2 wins against NYJ and one against NE)

If he gets his hands on Hughes in the run game he can create lanes, on passing downs I expect stunts used against him. He really didn’t see many passing downs in college. Remember, all 5 of The jets starters are new, if there was a crowd there would be communication issues...thanks covid

I recently rewatched the 2017 week 2 meeting between Buffalo and Carolina. A couple of thoughts...
week one, Carolina gave up zero sacks, the Bills sacked Newton 6 times in the week 2 meeting and constantly confused him, this was the only the 2nd game Coach McDermott and Coach Frazier had this team. The Bills gave up 9 total points. Cam was not accurate and Benjamin saved him. His lack of accuracy will be even more noticeable in the Pats offense.
Other thought.
-the Panthers gave up on Cam and replaced him with a journeyman QB (Bridgewater)
-no one seemed interested in Newton during free agency
-the Patriots have so little faith in him that they offered him a 1 year deal worth almost nothing, both parties will say it’s a prove it deal...that cam “just wants to win” but the truth is he’s now Brian Hoyer.
regarding coaching, people will site the OC’s experience with Tebow as an example of his ability to tailor a offense to Newton. I just don’t buy it, if he plays the Tebow roll he won’t last 3 games and Newton (on a one year deal) won’t be as physical as Tebow was.
Bottomline; Newton is no more than a bridge QB.With the loses on Defense (3 LBs) the pats are just simply not going to be as good. They are a 6 win team.

I feel the difference between past GMs and coaching staffs and this one is. They are really good at identifying players that come prepared.

I am on the team that believes Norman is a system CB, leave it to Washington to believe he could play in a system that wasn’t McDermott’s. He also gave up on Washington, I think ownership and coaching (or lack of) made the situation intolerable.

I’d like to find a western NY company with a nationally known name. Simple solution would be Paychex, Golisano already tried buying the Bills once, this could be a way he’s a part of the team.

My unpopular opinion, had we stuck with fitz and not drafted EJ in 2014, Buffalo would have made the playoffs.
