  1. Wait...this thread had a point?
  2. I just got a Springer Spaniel puppy who I named Tasker...my girlfriend doesnt get the reference.
  3. I'd like to know who is actually saying these things...and it doesnt count if his name has "JP" in the title.
  4. JSP, how much will it cost for you to take one for the team and buy a Tom Brady jersey? I mean, if every player whose jersey you own ends up crapping out...why not use that magic juju power on Mr. Brady?
  5. If the Bills REALLY want to be dicks about this, the press conference should deal with the new alternate red jerseys we've been hearing about.
  6. Exactly...its kinda hard to have leverage when its public knowledge that your player will be cut anyways. As for the Buckhalter move...very interesting! I honestly never thought of him this offseason, but he'd be a solid pick-up. Dont be surprised if the Bills take a shot at Amos Zereoue either, what with his familiarity with Mularkey's system and Donahoe being responsible for bringing him into the NFL.
  7. Holy crapola, what could it be for?
  8. Those poor people...what that shows me is that Bledsoe is still living off the fame he created early in his career...if anyone watched him over the last 2 and a half years, they'd easily see the folly of wanting him to "lead" their team.
  9. These players have got to understand they arent worth NFL type money. Hell, most of them arent worth WWE type money.
  10. Awww come on...just look at the poor guy! He needs all the love he can get.
  11. Yep, and I think we will get that type of player in free agency. There are some damn fine guards available and the Bills have some cap room to play with...I think we get two massive, mean guards on this team next year to keep Losman standing. Now, the best of both worlds would be to re-sign Jonas and pick up a guy like Wahle or Andruzzi...not sure if Jonas' contract is going to allow us to do that though.
  12. At least Jay Fiedler would know his role.
  13. I'm surprised he can put together a sentence without inserting the "f" word in it. That guy is the Ryan Leaf of NFL "reporters".
  14. To me, the Bills backup plans revolve around whether or not Matthews retires or not. I think if he wants to stay, he gets a 2-year deal at the vet minimum, maybe a little more and he goes into next season as the #2 guy. Wyche talked very highly of his ability to grasp the system and I'd be content with him as our backup. Then, if the retain Matthews, I see the Bills drafting a rookie to be the 3rd QB and a player to be eventually groomed to be Losman's backup. Bringing in a guy like Kurt Warner wont work because Warner wants to start. Bringing in Mike McMahon might distract Losman since McMahon has potential to be a starter. What we need is a safe, solid backup QB who knows his role and can help Losman instead of distract him when Losman trips up.
  15. Now can we properly discuss who we get to backup Losman? Or will people still chase you down and beat you with sticks if you bring it up?
  16. I'd still take a chance on Bannister, perhaps he just isnt in the right system? And if you sign him for cheap (I doubt there will be a huge surge of Bannister-suitors in the NFL this offseason) what have you lost? A few bucks. What have you gained? Potentially a starting 3rd WR at best and, at worst, a Pro Bowl special teams player.
  17. Labatt, you'll always be the #1 news whore to me...if that means anything to you.
  18. Mike Wahle is the one free agent that I'd LOVE to see the Bills get. Instant upgrade to our O-Line.
  19. The only WR you mentioned that would actually qualify as a 3rd WR is Peter Warrick. The rest are outrageous and would never settle for a third WR spot anywhere in the NFL. I'd keep an eye on Dane Looker myself...he'll come cheap, and is very productive when he has his chances. Alex Bannister from Seattle is interesting as well...Holmgren kept him out of the WR corps, despite Bannister's demand that he get some playing time...Bannister has great size (6'5 I believe) and had soft hands in college. Also made the Pro Bowl last year as the NFC Special Teams player. The Bills brought him in as a free agent visiter last year when he was a RFA. Might be worth a look.
  20. One of the best games ever...Deion Sanders was evil though, he could not be stopped.
  21. ESPN says he isnt though...I sadly trust ESPN over some fan site on the internet. But just barely. Free Agent OTs
  22. No one will ever flop so badly and so gloriously like Ryan Leaf did.
  23. I'd take Pollard in a heart beat if he gets released...I also like Freddie Jones from Arizona or Wiggins from Minnesota. Lots of good TEs available if TD wants to upgrade.
  24. That would be a tad bit difficult since Pollard isnt a free agent...unless he's getting released. You know something we all dont, Jay?
  25. I'm a big fan of Sproles as well...the guy is a midget, we all know this...but I think he's definitely worth taking a chance on in the 4th round if he's there by our pick.
