  1. Finally- I love this. Like having another Offensive lineman out there. He's huge.
  2. No- I didn't catch that. I am running between rooms watching games. My girlfriend is a Steelers fan so she gets the big TV until 4. I am just trying to keep up with the rest of the league....
  3. Gotta love NFL Ticket- breaks a 21-21- tie with Skins'....
  4. That's true. But the entire organization felt that we would not miss a beat inserting Edwards as a starter. Obviously not the case, so who do you blame? We are 31st in the leaguea gainst the run minus our starting DT from last season. When you are ranked that low, everyone who has anything to do with the defense needs to get some heat.
  5. We are talking 3rd round (Anderson, Edwards). Pat Williams was signed as an undrafted free-agent!! Previous Years: The anchor of the Bills’ defensive line in 2003 and 2004. Was the Bills’ starting NT (2002-2003) and under tackle (2004) the last three seasons. The Bills’ best defensive lineman in 2002, leading the D-line in tackles and was named a Pro Bowl alternate. Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills on April 25, 1997.
  6. I was referring more to who we pick instead of when we pick. I know our line coaches would like to pick in the first round. But who they pick when the brass ask thier input is where they deserve some heat. Obviously Duke Preston is impressing more people than Ron Edwards or Tim Anderson and he is a rookie. I would like to see more bang for the buck. Give me a jumbo sized defensive tackle- Washington, Smerlas , Pat Williams, Sam Adams size man in there. Hey, if Anerson stuffs the run today I'll jump for joy and eat crow.
  7. Haven't heard his name pop up here. He ultimately has the most input on our draft of lineman. We have all heard about how he wrestles the upcoming studs in the league. Did he really think Ron Edwards could get the job done? That Tim Anderson can get it done? It is obvious to me these guys are a little light for this position. History serves Buffalo well with 330 plus defensive tackles- better yet 350. Until this god awful 3rd down debackle starts to turn around, nobody deserves a passing grade. Not even the untouchable Krumrie. 31st in the league against the run is just an absolute joke. Can we please stop old msn Martin today....
  8. Don't expect to win in December. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/6908538
  9. I thought you wanted to borrow money with that post. Sorry my nads won't be that big until we win big on Sunay. Right now I'd say get out of that shark infested water.... Go back on Monday.
  10. Right on. There is no one that can stop the run up front. We have one legitemate tackle-another reason I am P-OD about our off-season. Letting someone walk is o.k IF you have someone to take his place. Preferably a real starter. When Big Ted left , we knew Pat could play- we watched "the package" shut down red zone drives. We watched Ted come out for a breather, and still have a force in the middle. Edwards is not that calliber player. Corey Simon is. We could have signed him, he came gift wrapped for the taking in pre-season.
  11. Time of posession is another part of how teams become winners. With some first downs on offense, our defense becomes better.
  12. Believe me I was high on the J.P. bandwagon, and I believe he has more raw talant than anyone Buffalo has put behind center in a long time. But something that worries me now looking back in pre- season is the fact he never threw long. Why? Saving it for the season... not from what I have seen. If he could not hit Moulds or Evans in stride then, he damn sure can't do it when the real heat is on. Why would you start someone then? Let's just see what happens Sunay, and back who ever is behind center.
  13. Just curious. How many wins in a row to eat some crow? I'll say 4. I'll even throw in some humor to stir things up: Nate, I think Donahoe has sealed your fate, And now you make excellent bait. You will be our Peerless Price of 06, Reeling in a #1 pick. Tom is in a jam for letting Pat walk, And laughing out loud to the Corey Simon talk. Bye, bye Nate it's been real, but know it's time to make a deal. Go to the Vikings they have plenty of bucks, And bring us a DT that hits like a truck. And what about the teams on the other end of the scale -- those with a losing record as the NFL enters Week 5? Recent history proves that the race is far -- far -- from over. Take a look at the past five seasons. In every year, there has been at least one team with a losing record through four weeks of the season that finished as division champion, with one winning the Super Bowl: It Ain't Over Yet! Season Team(s) Week 4 Season's End 2000 New Orleans 1-3 Division champ 2001 New England 1-3 Division/Super Bowl champ 2002 Atlanta 1-2 Made playoffs NY Jets 1-3 Division champ Pittsburgh 1-2 Division champ Tennessee 1-3 Division champ 2003 Philadelphia 1-2 Division champ 2004 Green Bay 1-3 Division champ So here comes Week 5, with chances to keep things going.
  14. are you entitled to a refund from the NFL Sunday Ticket???? There has to be a clause somewhwere..... Eli Manning looked terrible last year- not to say Losman is the same caliber, but who knows, this is a catch 22 any way you look at it. It would be one thing if it was just one position playing bad. But for everyone wanting to run McGahee 35 times a game when everyone knows you can't pass right now will not work. 3rd and a foot-4th and inches and know gain. If you had a star studded O-line it would work. Let's face it- you can't build an Offensive line with someone else's trash- Donahoe's so called 2nd tier free agents.
  15. Yup. Free beer tomorrow..... I especially like the "2nd tier free agents" Translates into scrubs.
  16. I hope to God that I have your optimism by Sunday Morning. It will take at least that long.
  17. How about trading Jerry Grey for Dick Lebeau. Or our defense for the real 85 Bears.... I am just sick- this is what we pay the top Brass to do in the off-season.
  18. Or trade down and get two high motor defensive lineman.....
  19. And I think he will be a good Quaterback- next year. Kelly and the no-huddle.
  20. So he could come to Buffalo and destroy any chance of a winning season. And pull our hearts out of our chest and run over them with a mack truck.... to talk Ralph into a long rich contract.
