  1.

Because he's physically not in 'game shape' with no training camp, no preseason and just a couple no-pad practices this week. They'd be risking injury to try to throw him in the lineup without him being physically ready.

    He'll play around week 3.

    This
  2. 40M guaranteed for a player who may be average can bring down a whole franchise.

Bingo. Just look at how terrible that front 7 looks. Nickovich retired, couldn't afford to keep Long and Sheard , if Hightower is injured for a substantial amount of time, they're going to get dominated week by week on D..

Big reason is because of paying Gimore, a move I promise you Belicheck is regretting.

  3.

It's all about the money. And you are correct - we don't know schit about these players. Furthermore, these players don't give a schit about anything other than their bank accounts. And that's okay by me.

That's why it's imperative to have the right leadership, and the right leadership in as many positional groups as possible, because you are right , most guys just want that $$, could care less about W's.

Leadership has been a key cog in the Patriots winning ways. McD has established leadership and guys who truly care about winning in almost every positional group.

    Offense- Richie,Wood...Taylor.. McCoy,Tolbert

    Defense- Kyle.. Lorax.. Hughes..Hyde

Feel like these guys truly want that W on Sunday and this has a ripple effect.

  4. Excuse me. Have another drink. Michaels has nothing to do with ESPN. He made one throwaway comment and everyone's all nuts over it.

Again , what about when he said Mike Gillislee looked like Leveon Bell after a pedestrian 6 yard run ? I damn near spit out my drink! Then he made the Buffalo comment, it was sad really.

The poster is right, they couldn't get their mouths off the Pats nuts

  5. Hopefully keeping Taylor in the pocket on timing passes was just a experiment that failed. That is not what he is good with.

If last years OL is back and healthy plus Dawkins as a backup they should be good with a much better D.

Henderson will be back in week 6 and may be better at RT if healthy.

Maybe Dawkins could be a blocking TE position.

Top 10 D, Top 5 run game, friendlier system for Taylor, watered down conference, next year will be great with our draft ammo but these guys know what they are doing, and if we lose , that team is going to earn that W. No laying down like the Rex era.. let's go Buffalooo
  6. Stupid comment that just shows the ball-washing the national media engages in with the Pats. But the irony is, he said that with a Gillislee run... Shady's better you fool. Watkins was better than Hogan and Jones and Matthews are. And White, says a crisp $100, is and will be better than Ole Tackler #24.

Definitely, I'm telling you guys, Gaines can play too but White just sounds like he's a natural DB and the consistentcy I expect him to show is going to be soo refreshing.

He compared a 6-9 yard run by TD Mike to Leveon Bell for F's sake!! This was ball washing on another level,I just cringed at the lack of knowledge,

I can't wait to play that team, I saw chinks in their armor I've never seen, they genuinely look to have major major depth issues, which is why they crumbled at home in the 2nd half. We'll see who's laughing when Shady and company take them in deep water..

  7. It was just a stupid thing to say. I imagine that he wishes he didn't say it. It's just dumb

But Michaels has been very good at what he does for a long time. He's getting old. I'm giving him a break.

The Pats have three Bills players. Hogan is average. Gilislee will help them a lot and I wish we kept him but they have three other guys. Gilmore they gambled on. They don't usually pay that much money. Satan obviously thought he was great. We'll see.

    Satan haha.

Like I said, I think Stephon Mr Inconsistent Gilmore will turn out bad, and at least for this year has killed their depth, especially on that front 7

  8. That was Cris Collinsworth who said that to Al Michaels. Al actually responded with just a small, nervous laugh; I don't think he wanted to touch that comment and rightly so because it was pretty lame in a 'kick a team while they're down' sort of way. I personally think Cris usually does a pretty good job with the color commentary but he does seem to shine Brady & Belichick's shoes possibly out of the desire to have his own Super Bowl ring.

However, if the Bills wish to no longer be dissed then they need to earn respect.

It was Michael's who said it.

Then he compared Gills to Leveon Bell...

Absolutely, I know the board thinks I'm nuts but I truly believe we earn it this year, this team is all business, has the right leadership and right guys for the scheme

  9. After TD Mike had that 3 solid runs in the 2nd quarter, he praised him heavily, saying he reminded him of Bell on one run..

Then talked him coming from Buffalo, where he said

" I think NE has better players from Buffalo than Buffalo does."

Gills ended up with 13 carries for 20 yards after the 16 yarder and 9 yard run. Totaling 15 for 45 yards. Impressive 3 goal line Tds, but it was clear he can't sustain production late in the game , wasn't a number 1 back here and don't see that changing...

Gilmore looked very average at best. Hogan had 25 total yards ,1 reception and 3 carries.

Just a very ignorant comment and very disrespectful.

Funny thing is,our O is perfectly built to beat that SOFT run D ,we can do them like KC did them, we're very similar personnel wise. Nickovich and possibly Hightower gone. Long and Sheard gone. All that $ to Gilmore has left NE with terrible depth in that front 7 and a leadership void. We can really end up whooping that D.

Edit- Al Michael's, not Jim Nantz, apologies

  10. Run D was BAD. Pass rush even worse. I mean the interior of the Pats D did well mostly against those crazy option shovel passes KC was running, but Hunt carved them up. It was nice to see 😀

Their depth is horrendous, Hightower, Nickovich especially, their replacements looked baddddd and who fills that leadership void? Edelman is clearly missed. Gronk looked like he lost a step...

The great thing is we have similar pieces on offense, we can attack them similarly. I expect Shady to be a huge part of the pass attack, and Clay and Gillisslee didn't look to hot without 3 feet wide holes to run through, proves how good our run game/line is..

I can't believe how bad the Pats looked at home..All that $$ to Gilmore/Cooks/Gillisslee is going to leave holes and depth issues,

Yeah, the circlejerk against Gilmore is strong here. Or, folks have no clue wtf they are talking about. How about a little bit of both?

Regardless if that was on McCourty, Gilmore did not look impressive whatsoever.. if I didn't know better I would have thought that was last year's Bills D. Big plays all day
