Dolphins and Jests in bottom 5 ?
I'm truly confident our staff can take us to the top of the division consistently. Just listening to Beane and McD , I feel these guys are meant to be in the NFL at their respective positions and are going to prove they are great at their jobs.
For the first time in my life I have the upmost confidence that our HC and GM will make the right choices and build a perennial powerhouse.
We're in good hands!

Bradley Chubb
Yea I think he becomes an elite de.
I saw him referred to as a mix between von Miller and Khalil Mack.

Great news, even though he'll definitely be playing, it's clear there is some tension with Brady and Belicheck and who could see the demise sooner than later.
Jimmy G is the only QB BB drafted in the first 2 rounds, they gotta be second guessing that trade. I think the Pats might go all in for a Qb now... Gronk also nowhere to be found. End of an era???

I would give up both 1st, both 2nds for him in a blink. Would you?
In a heartbeat
Best QB in the game. Played entire professional career in similar weather, instantly make us legit afc contenders

Great thread!! We too are getting together (with our Bills group in New Orleans). The draft will be going on at the same time as Pelicans/Blazers game 6 so we will have 2 TVs working and crawfish boiling. Friday we will be going to the Zurich Classic during the day and a bar after for rounds 2 & 3.
In in terms of food, I think that you want to go on the easy side with the draft being later. You aren’t going to want to be stuck with a messy kitchen at 10:30 at night. I’d probably go with a couple of dips and maybe pulled pork or something? It’s minimal work and will allow you to focus on the draft.
Nice!
Except the Pelicans finish them in 5!

Technically 3, if you count Glenn

He posted (apparently) his cell phone number on his Twitter two days ago! Something strange going on with him, Zay Jones just seen leaving his place

It's not trading the farm. They wanted a new prized calf and the other farmer said it will take 5 chickens if you want to do a trade. They only had 2 chickens so they got a few more and now they have enough to make the deal.
And yet we beat them. Just because you have heard of some of their players doesn't mean they had a better team
Well said on both points. This staff is super aware of the value of building a team and not just a collection of talent and I love it and I think it equals sustainable success.

All of their moves in regards to acquiring more draft capital seem to indicate otherwise but doesn't have to mean I'm right either.
I've always felt get the qb, evaluate him and build based off those details and the talent that becomes available next year in FA and the draft.
Get a qb and if you hit, we have time to fill in blanks.
It could also be as simple as Watkins, Darby , Glenn , Dareus and Tyrod not fitting the grand vision. We pretty much replaced them , KB,Tre, Dawkins, Star and AJ , at a much lower price tag and better fit and in return got some nice draft capital to further build on the foundation.
I see McD and Beane being here a long long time, they just strike me as extremely professional and thorough and are very good at what they do.
I guess we'll find out in 3 weeks. Im personally against trading the farm for a QB but I trust their decision making skills no matter what happens, we're in good hands for once

I actually like it. Secondary is a strength, make it through best secondary in the league

I like it. Snatch him at 12
Grab QB at 22

I thought this myself. Obj would be a nightmare in that system

The Rams are going to want to pay Todd Gurley, Marcus Peters, Brandin Cooks, Lamarcus Joyner, and Aaron Donald. Without breaking the bank so bad they can't pay Goff in a few years. Uhhhhh good luck with that one. Oh well there's always the draft... ahhh right.
Yea they are completely ignoring their future for success . This is Eagles dream team all over again.

Probably because they've been trying to bolster the roster year in and year out. Which will basically mean settling for whatever QB is there at 12 will amount to continuous mediocrity at best. I want consistent playoff appearances, and that starts with upgrading the QB position. Can't rely on this team winning or that team losing every year
That's not true at all.
Getting a QB means nothing.
More top 5 QB DO NOT make consistent playoff appearances, than top 5 QB that do.
Actually alot of the guys who consistently make the playoffs were way outside the top 5.
Brady , Wilson , Rodgers , Big Ben , to name a few. It's a crap shoot.

Punt on QB again? Nope.
What if they're high on Mccarron. Instead of being aggressive, sit back and grab your QB, and bolster your roster with top end young talent.
Who knows, will be interesting

Smart fella then.
Definitely.
Shady is the Mayweather of RB. Barely takes big hits because of his i.q and elusiveness. He'll have longevity at a high level. The impact he has on our O is unreal! Legend already

I remain unconvinced that they are going to win the Super Bowl. And, if they don't, it isn't going to be fun in the following year.
They have a collection of talent.
Teams win Super Bowls, I'm betting the house on the under on how many Wins they get when the numbers come out

Clay popped out in Carolina last year on a few occasions. I was wondering why we let him go, he made some big plays there, we got some nice competition going at WR . I also see us drafting a WR on day 2 or 3.
Don't sleep on Clay, he has upside for sure, good signing!!
-
If he has a monster year, which I believe he's capable, 1200 8-12 TD, give him his money. If not , move on. He was definitely hurt last year, excited to see him healthy out there,he can be a huge mismatch and headache for defenses

The point of getting Murphy was to take the focus off Hughes, who was the the only one who commanded attention in the pass rush. Murphy rushing from the left will free up Hughes, and we'll see that in his stats this year.
Facts!
Hughes numbers didn't match his play imo. Murphy and Star commanding a double team will result in much better numbers
-
I hope we get him back on a cheap one or two year deal. Davis , Hyde and White can all play the slot, our secondary would be arguably the best in the game.

What immediately jumped out on me is the Big Time break we caught.
Week 2 - Rivers and SD are notorious slow starters on teams that have pretty good talent, always dangerous... We get the luxury of facing Rivers in week 2 traveling cross country
Week 3 - Cousins and Minnesota is a very tough outing and environment. We luck out in getting to play Kirk in his third game as a Viking, making him much more vulnerable than in week 11 for example
Week 4 - Rodgers and GB , see "Week 3 up above folks. Tough place to win but they're slow starters as of late and I'd much rather play Rodgers in September and not November!
