  1. Poll shuts down @ 1:10pm EST.
  2. Your guess was the 31st pick in this mock, by Arizona.
  3. Maybe so. Mack is a very highly rated OL, but then again, Johnson is fairly well thought of also. No biggie. Third downs will continue to be a load of fun. There's a good shot @ a trifecta (7-9 times 3).
  4. Round 2 Poll
  5. Okay, so who's it gonna be?
  6. Jacksonville selects Eben Britton, OT from Arizona Oakland selects Larry English, DE from Northern Illinois Green Bay's on the clock.
  7. Okay folks, we're going to try to get back on track. As opposed to skipping 'round and such, we're just going to try to get back on schedule. Cincy is up.
  8. Cleveland selects Darius Butler, CB from Connecticut Seattle selects William Beatty, OT from Connecticut Cincinnati is on the clock.
  9. Sorry folks; work is very hectic today. I will be in and out all day as best I can. The first two selections have been made.
  10. Aaaargh! Sorry folks, but work got in the way yet again. I'm one of two people in my unit today, so I may not be 'round as much as the previous two days. I'll leave the thread open and HOPE that the GMs will make their selections according to their time slots @ the latest. Anyway, Detroit selects James Laurinaitis, LB from Ohio State w/ the 33rd pick in the draft. New England selects Vontae Davis, CB from Illinois w/ the 34th pick. St. Louis is on the clock now.
  11. Yeah, they're alright. One guy from my time in the PSAC actually was on the Bills but was cut during training camp (Greg Paterra, a RB from Slippery Rock). Another guy was a long snapper for the Redskins (Ralph Tamm), and another was a former teammate and long snapper for the Green Bay Packers for years 'til he retired recently (Rob Davis, from my alma mater Shippensburg University). They also had a few guys come along after me that were pretty good, like Pro Bowl LB Lee Woodall (West Chester University) and 2 time Super Bowl winning LB John Mobley (from Andre Reed's alma mater Kutztown). There was also Millersivlle's Robb Riddick, a RB who played for the Bills in the 1980s.

  13. On to Round 2.........tomorrow.
  14. Pittsburgh selects Alphonso Smith, CB from Wake Forest w/ the 32nd pick. We're done w/ Round 1, folks. Round 2 begins tomorrow morning @ 10:00am EST. See ya then.
  15. I like the thinking, but... I don't see Mack being available @ 42. I like Unger more anyway, so I hope he'd be targeted (and available) @ 42. Loadholt is truly a load, but he's got issues, such as his inability to play w/ good knee bend, does not have the quickest of feet, and has a tendency to jump offsides a bit (think of a much larger version of Rams OT Alex Barron, who has led the league in penalties). I'd pass on him 'til the later rounds.
  16. Good pick, KD. I kinda figured it would be Britt once Heyward-Bey and Nicks were off the board. They badly need to replace Burress, and this kid may be able to do it.
  17. Arizona selects Duke Robinson, G from Oklahoma Pittsburgh is on the clock.
  18. Maybe the Giants are working on a trade???
  19. Moreno has the talent to be a real stud in the pros. Yeah, they could've used a MLB or DT, but would you take one @ their spot? They can probably get either w/ their pick in Round 2.
  20. Philadelphia selects Chris Wells, RB from Ohio State NY Giants are on the clock.
  21. Philadelphia is on the clock.
  22. Baltimore is on the clock.
  23. Atlanta selects Clint Sintim, LB from Virginia Miami is on the clock.
  24. It may just be me, but I do not consider using a first round pick on a pass rusher (which should be available where we're picking) while using a second round pick on a quality interior OL (which should also be available where we're picking) to be "ignoring the offensive line". The draft is not just one round. Now, if I thought there was enough depth in terms of pass rushers that we could flip that scenario and still land one, I'd be all for it. In years past, I've been leading the charge here in regard to fixing the offensive line woes. I just don't see the Bills being able to adequately address the pass rush after the 11th pick in this draft. While we do not want to "ignore" the O line, we certainly do not want to do the same in regard to the pass rush, do we?
