Democrats in Full Panic Mode Over Anti-Israel Protests.
Democrats are in full hand-wringing mode over the anti-Israel protests on campus. The louder the protesters scream about "Free Palestine," the more nervous the Democrats become.
They know that there aren't many potential Donald Trump voters yelling antisemitic epithets at Jewish students from "Gaza Liberation Zones." These were Joe Biden voters in 2020 and may yet be again. In fact, as close a race as the 2024 presidential race is going to be. Biden is going to need these antisemites to win.
As much as Democrats want to sympathize with the pro-Hamas protesters, they know they have to walk a fine line.
"The longer they continue, and the worse that they get, the worse it's going to be for the election overall," one House Democrat told Axios.
The protests, the anonymous Democratic lawmaker warned, are "bringing out [the public's] most conservative side."

Back in 1992, then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton had his Sister Souljah moment when he publicly confronted a black woman who made a racist remark. Clinton was right in challenging such a remark and benefitted politically because those were the days when the Democrats could say those things

Could President Biden issue such a statement today calling out people who say "Death to America" or "We are Hamas"? Just read what The White House said:
“While every American has the right to peaceful protest, calls for violence and physical intimidation targeting Jewish students and the Jewish community are blatantly antisemitic, unconscionable and dangerous -- they have absolutely no place on any college campus or anywhere in the United States of America,” White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said. “And echoing the rhetoric of terrorist organizations, especially in the wake of the worst massacre committed against the Jewish people since the Holocaust, is despicable.
Okay, that's nice -- but where was President Biden? Where was the speech to the nation saying that those people do not belong in the Democrat Party or among his supporters? Or calling on the Hamas supporters that they are misguided and should not vote for him?
So far we have not heard that. It was a statement, but not directly from the President.
Why? Maybe it has something to do with Michigan, the place where 13% or 100,000 voted uncommitted as advised by Congressman Rashida Tlalib.

The 'Biden Bump' That Didn't Last Long

"The election is clearly changing now, moving towards Biden," the influential Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg declared on March 26. "The Biden bump is real." For Republicans, Rosenberg is someone worth listening to; he was right about the nonexistent "red wave" that many in the GOP expected back in 2022. When he said the election was moving, it was worth noting.
Now, though, the situation is a little more complicated. Ever since President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on March 7 -- the one in which he appeared to shout much of the time to prove his vigor -- Democrats have been hoping for a Biden surge. A lot of that was just wish-casting; it simply did not make sense to many Democrats that former President Donald Trump could be under four indictments, and starting trial in one case, and still be leading Biden. It just seemed too crazy to accept. But it was true.
Then, in late March and early April, Biden did rise a bit in the polls. According to the RealClearPolitics average of national polls, Trump has led Biden in head-to-head matchups since September 2023. (They were tied for one brief moment in October.) During his March-April "bump," Biden's deficit shrank, coming within two-tenths of a point of catching Trump. Democratic hopes rose.
Alas, it didn't last long. On Sunday came a poll from CNN that was simply devastating for the president's reelection hopes. Remember, a poll is just a freeze frame of the race at this moment. It doesn't mean things won't change in the future. But it gives us an idea of where things stand right now. And the CNN poll showed Biden's standing deteriorating before our eyes.

Last month the Third US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that mail-in ballots with no dates cannot be counted by Pennsylvania election officials.
Democrats use this tactic frequently to add more ballots to their candidate’s totals following election day. “Mailed ballots that arrive on time but in envelopes without dates handwritten by Pennsylvania voters or with incorrect dates should not be counted, a three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday. From the person throwing themselves down the steps to the women shrieking (at least, I hope they are women) as if they are being abused,
all of this is manufactured. These are actors playing a role.
They chose to illegally storm and occupy a building, breaking windows to gain entry.
No one should feel an ounce of sympathy for them as they pretend to be brutalized by police. Let the tears fall.

International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day in some countries and often referred to as May Day, is a celebration of labourers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labour movement and occurs every year on 1 May, or the first Monday in May.
Traditionally, 1 May is the date of the European spring festival of May Day. In 1889, the Marxist International Socialist Congress met in Paris and established the Second International as a successor to the earlier International Workingmen's Association. They adopted a resolution for a "great international demonstration" in support of working-class demands for the eight-hour day. The 1 May date was chosen by the American Federation of Labor to commemorate a general strike in the United States, which had begun on 1 May 1886 and culminated in the Haymarket affair four days later. The demonstration subsequently became a yearly event. The 1904 Sixth Conference of the Second International, called on "all Social Democratic Party organisations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on the First of May for the legal establishment of the eight-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for universal peace".
