The fans are the big winners of course.... because the fans were the big concern of both sides throughout the negotiations.
Ticket prices dropped 20%, Season ticket holders no longer need to pay full price for those pre-season exhibitions, PSLs are outlawed, parking cap is $10, drinks are only $3, blackouts are lifted, you don't need to pay for the NFL channel to see Thursday night games......Honey, wake up. It's time to go to work.

After she passed it may have been good for him to keep busy. I wish him a quick recovery.

Just another reminder, Buffalo Bills 2010 NFL Yearbook is scheduled to air "tonight" (tomorrow morning) on ESPN2.
Really? This is a good thing? Re-living bad things is not a priority for me.

Should Vincent Jackson not be granted free agency in a settlement, then hold out on signing his franchise tag again, the Chargers will be in a desperate situation at wideout.
I hope the new CBA addresses holdouts. Only in football is it an issue. Get-RR-Done.

Fearing the worst -
Does Ralph's silence speak volumes? Why won't he come out and say that he has worked to keep the Bills in Buffalo after he passes?
Does he know they will just be sold and likely moved, but wants to keep the paying fans on board until then?
Just wondering....Not addressing it directly seems odd.
-
I enjoy watching the rookies and undrafted free agents play in the pre-season but as a season ticket holder forced to pay full price, I hope the pre-season 'exhibitions' get reduced to 2 games.
-
I hope the CBA addressed the 'If I hold out this year, as long as I show up by week 11, then it counts as a full year of obligation to my contract'.
It should be that if you miss training camp, the NFL will not approve any new contracts for that player that year.
You sign your name on the contract, you live with it. You know, like real folks.
-
I hope that the rookie scale is nice and tight like the NBA, where players really don't need agents. You were the number 5 pick, your contract will be this much and for this long. You were the number 12 pick, your contract will be this. Not much negotiating from agents.
You don't hear from NBA Player's agents come rookie signing time and hopefully we don't see Rosenhaus on TV as the big story every year with his rookie holdouts.

no head coach is capable of doing more with less than Gailey
Well we're well qualified.

BTW I was at that game. Anybody else here?
Sure, Of course! Wasn't everybody who lives within 200 miles of the stadium?
Just kidding, I was there and it's still something our family brings up now and then.
Almost left.... luckily stuck it out a few more minutes.....then couldn't leave.
Funny how we weren't as cold during the comeback.
Sad that we have to go back this far for the good memories.

Maybe once I see them on the field they will look better.
Come December in the snow you might not be able to see them at all!
-
I'm admittedly disappointed about no blue pants, but the more I look at the all-white look I have to say it's pretty sharp. These uniforms are so "old school" and I love it.
So for road games played in the snow, we're back to QB's complaining they can't spot the receivers quick enough in the white uniforms and helmet. IIRC that was one on the reasons we went to the red helmet.

Especially if the cop killer managed to crack the top-20 in ANY meaningful punting statistic, something Moorman failed to do in 2010.
He should have been in the top 20 in total number of punts.
-
I like that they're talking about a ten year contract.
That's why both sides need to make sure it's a good agreement.
Probably why the owneres are taking a few extra days to understand it this time.

Get er done and pronto so as not to disrupt the season at all.
I wouldn't cry if the pre-season games were lost....waste of money.
-
my understanding is that you will only get a refund if the game is canceled entirely. if it is postponed, and you are unable to attend on the new date, you are SOL. i've been considering getting away tickets to our first game in KC, but i'm not sure what happens if i buy the ticket from an individual seller and the game gets canceled. to my knowledge, i'd lose my money - otherwise who would i get my refund from? would love to hear otherwise though!
edit: FYI, this is on stubhub: "The NFL lockout isn't settled The NFL is currently in a labor dispute with its players. If the lockout is not resolved by the start of the season, August 1, here is what you should know.
Due to the NFL lockout, there is no guarantee your favorite players will be in the game. If you buy tickets and the game is played, the tickets are yours to use, regardless of who is playing and if the game is rescheduled. If the game is cancelled, we will refund the cost of the tickets plus service and delivery fees."
Where are you getting your info from?
Buffalo Bills Ticket Office states that if the date of the game is changed, a full refund will be offered.
Owners nor NFL Office have mentioned replacement players as a possibility.
Hopefully there hasn't been a lot of people buying up tickets to games that might not happen and there some decent seats left.
This is what I'm trying to find out.
-
It's been a week now that individual game tickets have been on sale. Usually by now the opener and a couple of other games are sold out or down to single seats.
Has anyone bought tickets recently and know what is still availabile?
-
Normally I would be all over this but this year not so much. Not until I know the games I'm buying are being played when scheduled.
PTR
If the game gets moved to a different date, you get your money back. I think that's fair.
-
I was able to get through on the phone quite quickly.
The seat choices were still lower level for any games.
Makes me wonder if the lockout has caused a big drop in interest.
At least the Bills are refunding the money if the game date gets changed.

The little ring isn't intended to seal the hole, it's job is to prevent the straw from coming out and being lost. So like Brimley says, the ring goes on the inside and allows you to move around the straw without being able to remove it (except of course when the lid is off).
All this new techology drives me nuts...

Why trade him? I don't understand why everyone is always in a rush to make this team worse.
He is not a true #1 quality receiver and is overpaid based on performance. He does not require double coverage and did not excel even as the #2 receiver when TO was here and drawing the other teams' top coverage corners.
I'm not saying we're better off without him, just that he's not top tier.

Tough to complain about something free but....

- Not for use in microwave.
- Not dishwasher safe.
It made me chuckle.

We wont be picking in the top 10 next year
Don't underestimate us.

I assume that during the 24 hours the NFL was 'in business' enough play books were distributed so all drafted players will have one. But undrafted free agents won't have that benefit and who knows how long it will be before they are even allowed to be invited to join a team. What a huge disadvantage that might be to make the team.
Good thing we had a decent draft.
Insight anyone?
Poz signs with Jax, 6 years $7.5M/year reported

Maybe Poz saw that the Bills were not spending in the free agent market again to bring in any help so he just walked.
You know, like lots of our fans over the past 15 years.
Ralph, can you show us a sign that you care about winning? Small sign? Post-it note?
