Maybe once I see them on the field they will look better.
Come December in the snow you might not be able to see them at all!
-
I'm admittedly disappointed about no blue pants, but the more I look at the all-white look I have to say it's pretty sharp. These uniforms are so "old school" and I love it.
So for road games played in the snow, we're back to QB's complaining they can't spot the receivers quick enough in the white uniforms and helmet. IIRC that was one on the reasons we went to the red helmet.

Especially if the cop killer managed to crack the top-20 in ANY meaningful punting statistic, something Moorman failed to do in 2010.
He should have been in the top 20 in total number of punts.
-
I like that they're talking about a ten year contract.
That's why both sides need to make sure it's a good agreement.
Probably why the owneres are taking a few extra days to understand it this time.
-
Get er done and pronto so as not to disrupt the season at all.
I wouldn't cry if the pre-season games were lost....waste of money.
-
my understanding is that you will only get a refund if the game is canceled entirely. if it is postponed, and you are unable to attend on the new date, you are SOL. i've been considering getting away tickets to our first game in KC, but i'm not sure what happens if i buy the ticket from an individual seller and the game gets canceled. to my knowledge, i'd lose my money - otherwise who would i get my refund from? would love to hear otherwise though!
edit: FYI, this is on stubhub: "The NFL lockout isn't settled The NFL is currently in a labor dispute with its players. If the lockout is not resolved by the start of the season, August 1, here is what you should know.
Due to the NFL lockout, there is no guarantee your favorite players will be in the game. If you buy tickets and the game is played, the tickets are yours to use, regardless of who is playing and if the game is rescheduled. If the game is cancelled, we will refund the cost of the tickets plus service and delivery fees."
Where are you getting your info from?
Buffalo Bills Ticket Office states that if the date of the game is changed, a full refund will be offered.
Owners nor NFL Office have mentioned replacement players as a possibility.
Hopefully there hasn't been a lot of people buying up tickets to games that might not happen and there some decent seats left.
This is what I'm trying to find out.
-
It's been a week now that individual game tickets have been on sale. Usually by now the opener and a couple of other games are sold out or down to single seats.
Has anyone bought tickets recently and know what is still availabile?
-
Normally I would be all over this but this year not so much. Not until I know the games I'm buying are being played when scheduled.
PTR
If the game gets moved to a different date, you get your money back. I think that's fair.
-
I was able to get through on the phone quite quickly.
The seat choices were still lower level for any games.
Makes me wonder if the lockout has caused a big drop in interest.
At least the Bills are refunding the money if the game date gets changed.

The little ring isn't intended to seal the hole, it's job is to prevent the straw from coming out and being lost. So like Brimley says, the ring goes on the inside and allows you to move around the straw without being able to remove it (except of course when the lid is off).
All this new techology drives me nuts...

Why trade him? I don't understand why everyone is always in a rush to make this team worse.
He is not a true #1 quality receiver and is overpaid based on performance. He does not require double coverage and did not excel even as the #2 receiver when TO was here and drawing the other teams' top coverage corners.
I'm not saying we're better off without him, just that he's not top tier.

Tough to complain about something free but....

- Not for use in microwave.
- Not dishwasher safe.
It made me chuckle.

We wont be picking in the top 10 next year
Don't underestimate us.
-
I assume that during the 24 hours the NFL was 'in business' enough play books were distributed so all drafted players will have one. But undrafted free agents won't have that benefit and who knows how long it will be before they are even allowed to be invited to join a team. What a huge disadvantage that might be to make the team.
Good thing we had a decent draft.
Insight anyone?
-
Even though it's the 3rd round now, I wish ESPN would keep the camera on the podium when a pick is announced.
-
I hope Buffalo is milking this cow for everything it's worth, I want 1st rounders next year & someone's 3rd / 4th pick this year.
If we don't see a 'must have' at #34, keep the phone lines open!
-
I don't even think the Bills' phone will be plugged in...
Intentionally?
-
There's no way this team can win fewer than 4 games this season.
Really?
We're picking 3rd this year because we are that bad.
We have the 2nd toughest 2011 schedule and we get no help from our 1st round pick if he's on the bench.
We may be in the running for that #1 pick in 2012. At this point it may be our best chance.
Am I optimistic about this team? Yes. But not in 2011 with a 1st round pick on the bench and an owner still a little tight with the $$$.
-
OH yea we also had an aoffense that couldnt sustain drives meaning the D was on the field getting worn down all game. Most of the rushing yards given up came in the second half which should be no surprise.
The defense needs more talent but you will be surprised how much better they will be when the offense can keep them off the field.
Really? Blaming the worst D in the NFL on the Offense? Sure, some impact there but maybe the D could try a '3 and out' once in a while to stay off the field more! That front 7 was lousy. There's just no sugar coating it.
-
So we draft Newton or Gabbert with the #3 pick, and sit him the 1st year as they adjust to the NFL.
Our 1st round pick now provides no impact for 2011. We probably blow the 2nd round pick again, and we're likely looking at the top draft pick in 2012. And there awaits Andrew Luck who we could not pass on as our QB of the future and who would likely start day one.
What then of Newton or Gabbert? They would turn into yet another #1 draft pick with less than 1st round impact.
Just thinking out loud here......
-
2nd hardest schedule....how do the Bills get that kind of a schedule with their record of last few years?
Some of it is playing twice against the Patriots and Jets with their records.
-
I'd do it and not look back. We have so many needs and those picks could accelerate our rebuilding. It's not like we are gonna be competing for the AFC crown in the next couple of years. And it usually takes us 4 top picks to get one right!
-
Whew, our home pre-season games are the last two. Wouldn't want to miss out on having to pay for those if the season was shortened by the 1st two pre-season weeks.
-
the Bills are having a phone conference today....after listening to both Nix and Gailey...i'm inclined to believe the following:
#1- the Bills are Trading out of the #3 pick...but no farther than #10.
#2- if a Franchise QB is there, they will take him.
#3- i think Von Miller is the most likely pick.
#4- Patrick Peterson is viewed as a "nickel" back, so i don't think they take him.
#5- Gailey said "most" picks will be defensive.
#6 They have faith Shawne Merriman will be a big contributor.

Sure, Of course! Wasn't everybody who lives within 200 miles of the stadium?
Just kidding, I was there and it's still something our family brings up now and then.
Almost left.... luckily stuck it out a few more minutes.....then couldn't leave.
Funny how we weren't as cold during the comeback.
Sad that we have to go back this far for the good memories.
